The next few months flew by as I was heading into the home stretch of my pregnancy. I was driving Scott up the wall with my cravings and other issues. One minute I was hot, another I was cold.

One minute I wanted pickles, the next I wanted hot wings. My belly was expanding expansion-ally to the point I had to stop working and needed help getting up and down. As my due date neared, Scott took time off to make sure I didn't go into labor while he was at work.

The kids were out of school for summer, which was fine by me. If they weren't at our house, they were at Ben's or one of the twin's home. Life was crazy but amazing.

I waddled into the living room and tried to sit down but was having some issues. I got frustrated, and Scott chuckled.

"Issues?"

I threw my hands up in the air, "Why is it so hard to just sit down?"

He walked over and helped me to sit down while holding my hands. Then he took a seat next to me.

"Baby, I know you're frustrated, but it's only been a couple of days," he assured me.

"Scott, I look like a whale. I got cankles," I said, throwing my leg onto the coffee table. "My back hurts, I can't sleep, and I'm tired of being pregnant."

"Well, I think you look beautiful," he said as he leaned over and kissed me. Things started to get intense as our make-out session got heated, then I felt a gush.

"Uh, Scott?"

"Yes, baby," he said as he kissed my neck.

"My water broke," I said, making him stop. He pulled back and looked at me as I looked at him. Then things got a little crazy.

He got up and ran upstairs, grabbing everything we needed to go to the hospital with and ran out of the house. I sat there for a few minutes and worked trying to get up from the couch. It took me a few minutes to get up, but I did get up.

I heard the car pull out of the driveway and waddled to the door. I opened it to see him pull out of the driveway and start driving down the road. Where was he going?

I stood there and waited as my contractions started. Then I heard a car squeal and pulled into the driveway. He scrambled out of the car and ran over to me, "Guess it would make sense to take you to the hospital too."

"You think," I asked him with a look.

"Pretty much," he shrugged.

He helped me to the car and got me situated. Then we made our way to the hospital. I called and told Ben what was going on in between contractions. He told me he would tell everyone and bring the girls after Noah came.

Scott pulled up to the hospital and got out of the car. He ran over to my door and helped me out. Surprisingly I was calm, him not so much. Give the guy a company and no sweat. Send his wife in labor, and he loses his mind.

We went inside the hospital, and they took me back. From there, things got crazy. I handle the labor like a pro while Scott freaked. The nurse had to shake him to stop.

As I pushed, he rambled. This talking was so not helping, and finally, I snapped at him. It wasn't my fault. Have you ever pushed a watermelon out a hole the size of a lemon? It's not a walk in the park.

As the baby's head emerged, he took one look and promptly passed out. I didn't have time for this. A couple of nurses helped him up as the doctor rolled his eyes. I gave one final push, and Noah was out. Then I heard his cry. Oh, thank god.

I laid back down as they took him while the doctor finished with me. I think I was good with having babies.

Eventually, they got me situated in a room. The nurse brought Noah to me. I took him in my arms and looked at him. He had a mixture of Scott and me. He was beautiful. I handed him to Scott, and he cradles him in his arms.

"Hey buddy, I'm your daddy," Scott said softly to him. The baby let out a squeak.

We heard a knock at the door.

"Knock, knock," Ben said, standing there with the girls and everyone.

He girls ran into the room and over to Scott. He showed them Noah, and they squealed in delight, causing me to laugh.

"Hi Batman, I'm Georgia, and this is Kami," she said to him, causing everyone to laugh.

"We're your big sissies," Kami said to him.

Noah yawned as they ooh and ahh over him. Eventually, Scott handed Noah to my parents, and everyone had a chance to hold him.

They all stayed awhile then left. I held Noah as Scott sat down next to me in the bed.

"I hope you don't tell anyone what happened in the delivery room."

"Oh, I am so telling everyone," I said to him.

"Figures." He rolled his eyes, and I giggled. "Thank you."

"For what?"

"For that night," I said as I looked at him and smiled. That night was One Drunken Mishap, and it led to so much more. If I had never gone out that night, I would have never met Scott then again I think we were destined to meet.

They say we are destined to meet the one, even though I met him under different circumstances, it all worked out in the end and I don't regret it one bit.
