Gym time

Ben and Rob took Kami for the weekend, and I decided to hit the gym with the girls. Scott wanted to take me out tomorrow night, and I figured why not. I mean I could be an adult for one night.

We went and worked out at Brent's gym. It had been a while since I worked out. It was a big mistake; huge. I thought I was going to die.

Mel, she took to the treadmill like it was nothing, running even strides. I tried, and after five minutes, I thought I was going to die. She laughed at me.

Kara and Tara were on the bikes. So I decided to work out on the machines. I was terrible at this. Brent agreed to help me out and put my body through the wringer. How Mel keeps up with him is beyond me.

"Lina, I warned you are becoming best friends with Ben and Jerry was a terrible idea. You need more fruits and vegetables along with a lean protein," Brent said to me.

"Brent, Ben, and Jerry and I have an understanding. We have bonded through the years. They get me," I reasoned.

He gave me a look.

"You're not buying that, were you?"

"Lina, do I look like I was born yesterday?"

I shrugged. Brent just shook his head and chuckled. I sat there on the bench, talking to Brent. Brent was lecturing me on the evils of junk food, but you get the drift.

Then I heard whistling and peeked around Brent to see Scott along with another guy as they walked over to the treadmill. Well, hello. I started drooling, and Brent turned to see who I was looking at then chuckled.

"Lina, you've got it bad," he laughed.

"What? Can I help if he has a nice form?"

He laughed even harder. Then I watched as some girls walked over and started talking to them. They engaged in conversation. My brows furrowed.

Brent turned and looked at what I was looking at, "Hmmm, it seems jealousy is a bitch, isn't it?" He arched an eyebrow at me. I looked at him and sighed. "Lina, listen to me, I've seen how he looks at you. I know you're scared, but trust me, I know that look."

"How do you know?"

"Because I look at Mel the same way," he told me. I nodded. Maybe he was right. It's not like Scott and I were official. I mean all we had been doing was hanging out and shared a couple of kisses. What did I expect? The thought kind of depressed me.

Brent turned and saw some guy throwing weights around, "Hey! Yeah, you! Knock it off!" He walked over to the guy, and I laughed. Yeah, you never throw Brent's weights around.

I couldn't help but laugh. I didn't realize Scott heard me and turned around. He saw some guy walk up to me. I started having a conversation with him.

"So, we thought if you two weren't busy, we could maybe go for drinks?" One girl asked.

"Excuse me," Scott said as he got off the treadmill and walked towards me.

"Yeah, so if you aren't busy, maybe we could go see a movie sometime," the guy suggested.

"There you are! I've been looking all over for you!"

We both looked at Scott.

"Sweetie, why are you here? You should be home taking care of our ten kids," he exclaimed. I did a double-take as I looked at him in shock.

"Ten kids?" The guy asked.

"Oh, yes! See, we have ten kids." He started rambling off names until he got to the name Pepe.

"Pepe?"

"Yes, you know Pepe!" He said with exasperation. "God! You can't forget Pepe! He's in a wheelchair and so small." He started to sniffle. "I married Madrid here so she could get her green card and bring Pepe over to get medical attention, but alas I don't think it's going to last. I think he's going to die!" Scott started wailing and making a scene.

The guy next to me started to comfort him, "Oh, I had no idea." He looked at me, "How could you do that to Pepe?!"

"I-I," I stammered.

"No, what kind of woman talks to another guy when her husband is at home caring for their ten kids, and one is fragile. You disgust me!" He yelled at me then turned to Scott, "I am so sorry. I hope you are okay and everything works out for Pepe."

Scott nodded as he held his hand over his mouth as the other guy patted his back. The guy looked at me, "You should be ashamed of yourself." With that, he walked away.

I sat there, stunned. Scott lifted his head at me, "Mind telling me why some lunkhead is asking you out?"

I stood up, "Mind telling me why you're talking to random girls?"

"Touché."

"Pepe?" I gave him a look.

"I thought it was believable," he shrugged.

"Do I look ethnic to you?"

"Well, apparently, that guy thought so," he smirked.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"Dare I ask why you're at a gym," he asked me.

"I thought I would try and get some exercise."

"How's that working out for you so far?"

"Not so good, apparently some crazy nut claims he's my husband, and we have ten kids. One is named Pepe, and he's dying. Plus, my body is screaming at me," I sighed.

"What's it screaming?"

"That Ben and Jerry are terrible friends," I grinned.

He leaned over and whispered, "Really? Because I'm pretty sure I heard you screaming other things that one night." My cheeks turned bright pink.

I turned and slowly made my way to the locker room. My body was throbbing. I just wanted to soak in the jacuzzi.

I walked into the locker room and changed into a swimsuit and made my way to the Jacuzzi. I slowly got in and immersed myself into the hot water, ah heaven.

I closed my eyes and laid my head back. I heard someone get in and opened my eyes to see Scott sitting there grinning at me.

"Are you following me?" I asked him with a look.

He put his finger to his lips and tapped it, "Hmm let me see, I don't think so. I mean this is a gym, and it has a jacuzzi, so I thought why not."

I gave him a look, and he swam over to me. He grabbed my legs and yanked me over to him until I was straddling him as I faced him.

"Nice bikini," he winked.

I couldn't help but blush and smile.

"Now, I think someone owes me a kiss," he said as he smirked.

"You do, do you now?"

"Yep," he said as he crashed his lips against mine. He deepened the kiss as I felt his hands travel to my butt and give it a slight squeeze. I let a moan escape my lips, oh my.

"Hey! I don't want to drain the jacuzzi and clean it. If you want to do that, get a room," Brent yelled at us. We stopped and looked at him. I lowered my head into Scott as he chuckled.

"Don't worry, I'm all for saving it for the bedroom," he smirked.

Brent shook his head and chuckle, "I give you two a week." He walked away, and I groaned.

"Oh baby, wait until the bedroom, then you can groan all you want. Screaming is preferred, though," he grinned. I gave him a look. He was something else. I was finding many facets to Scott. At work, he was purely business. Around Kami, he was goofy. Alone, he was something different.

My interest was piqued.

I tried to get off his lap, but he pulled me back onto it. He wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me in place.

"Do you mind," I asked him.

"Nope, I'm quite happy with you right here," he grinned. I laughed.

"So, where are we going on our date?"

"Nice try, but I'm still not telling you," he said.

"Oh, come on," I whined.

"Nope, you have to dress nice. That's all I'm going to say," he answered.

As we sat there, the girls walked in and joined us.

"So, when is the big date," Kara asked.

"Tomorrow," I said.

"Then expect us tomorrow," Mel said.

"Oh, I don't know," I said.

"Nope, you aren't getting out of this one. What time are you picking her up, Scott?" Tara asked him.

"Five."

"Then we will be there at two," Tara told me.

Oh lord, this will be interesting. Any time you get the three of my friends together, expect exciting times. I had a feeling I was going to be wearing something I didn't want to.
