I looked at mom as Scott stood behind me while buried inside me, might I add. This was not so embarrassing whatsoever.

"Mom, can you give us a few minutes," I asked her. Oh god please don't say anything.

"Is that because you still have lover boy's manhood in you or because you both have your pants around your ankles?" She gave me a look as Scott buried his face into the back of my head.

"Mom," I gave her a look.

"Oh fine, I will be in the living room. You are so boring, Lina," she sighed. I wanted to crawl in a hole and die at that moment.

Scott slipped out of me, and we pulled up our pants. Then he whispered, "Remind me to lock our doors."

"Your fault," I whispered, "and I'm still mad about yesterday."

"Okay but at some point, you'll get over it, but then again, I think I prefer you mad."

"Why's that?"

"Because you're hot when you are, and it's a huge turn on," he said as he kissed me as he walked away. I just rolled my eyes and shook my head. Leave it to my perv boyfriend to find things sexual in any situation.

Once we fixed ourselves, we went into the living room where mom was sitting on the couch. I sat down on the other end while he sat down in a chair.

"Shouldn't you two be working and why are there boxes everywhere?" She raised an eyebrow at me. I might have forgotten to tell my parents we were moving.

"Because we decided to move to another house with the kids," I said to her.

"And what's wrong with this house? It looks fine to me," she said.

"Because Scott and I decided to find a place that neither one of us had already lived in, especially if we are going to be a family," I said trying not to lose my cool.

"And you decided to just up and move the girls. Pretentious wouldn't you think?" She gave me that look. You know the one that says I don't approve of your life choices. Yep, that would be the look.

"Come on, mom!" I stood up. "I'm freaking thirty years old. I'm divorced with a kid. If I want to move, I will move," I exclaimed.

"Are you done?" She said with a look.

"Excuse me?"

"Are you done having a hissy fit?"

"I was not having a hissy fit," I said emphatically.

"You so were," she smirked at me. I think the vein in my forehead was going to burst. "Oh, you need to relax Lina, you are so uptight. I mean your father and I have our fun too."

"Mom!" I did not want to know about my parent's sex life. No kid wants to know about their parent's sex life.

"Oh, fine," she sighed. "Anyway, where are you moving to?"

"We found a house right next door to Ben. It's perfect plus the girls get to see Ben and Rob," I said.

"So, does this mean I am getting another granddaughter," she inquired.

"Well, Scott asked if I would adopt Georgia," I said to her with hesitation.

"Please tell me you are going to. Georgia is just the cutest little thing I have ever met," she smiled.

"Yes, but right now, we have other matters to take care of."

"Like what?"

"Well, moving for one and a problem with work," I said.

"What kind of problem at work?" She arched her eyebrow.

"Someone is sabotaging things along with stealing and using me to do so," I said to her.

"I see."

I looked at her, "What do you think I'm guilty?"

"Did I say that? No, would you like me to buy you a trampoline so you can jump to more conclusions?" She gave me this look that I knew all too well. I just sighed.

"Lina, you need to understand something, life likes to screw you royally. At least you have to have some fun with it," she grinned. I had no words for her right now. Scott, on the other hand, was trying not to laugh, but I could hear him snickering. Of course, considering it was a sexual joke, oh, haha.

"Lighten up. God almighty, Lina life is too short for bad food and bad sex. If you get both, then you are doing better than the rest of us." I gave her a look as Scott finally lost it. He had to get up and leave the room because he was laughing so hard.

"I like him. He's a keeper. At least he has a sense of humor and other things going for him," she smirked.

"Mom! Ugh," I said as I got up and left the room. Welcome to my life where I not only have a perv boyfriend but a perv mom as well. How my dad has put up with her all these years is beyond me.

Mom eventually left, and I went into the kitchen to grab something to eat. Scott was leaning against the counter, eating a sandwich.

"Thanks for leaving me with my mom," I said as I opened the fridge.

"I'm sorry, baby, but if I stayed in the room, I would have completely lost it," he chuckled.

I gave him a look as I pulled out something to eat. I made a sandwich and poured some ice tea. I climbed on a chair and started to eat.

"You still mad at me?" He leaned on the counter and looked at me.

I set my sandwich down, "No," I sighed. "I guess I was just upset that you would even consider the possibility that I would do that."

He gave me a look, "Lina, I know you wouldn't, but I have to question everyone and everything. If I didn't, it would make me a lousy businessman," he said to me.

"Where did you learn about business, anyway?" I asked him as I picked my sandwich up.

"While I was going to school, I had this professor. He taught a class on business management. He also showed us how to manage a successful business. I took an interest, and he offered to help me with an internship at a company," he explained.

I listened to him as I ate.

"I started at the bottom and slowly worked my way up. The owner took notice and decided to see if I understood the concepts. He worked with me, teaching me the Ins and outs of the business then as things progressed, I did the thing he didn't expect."

"What's that?"

"I took over his business and ousted him."

I looked at him, surprised.

"I had to survive on my own growing up. People taught me they aren't always nice and kind. That either you eat them, or they eat you," he said, not missing a beat.

"So, you became ruthless," I said to him.

"I did in business. Lina, business is a cutthroat area to be in when you enter it. You end up being the bad guy, but you're also respected," he told me.

"So, do you always get what you want?" I leaned forward.

He leaned towards me and said, "When it's something I want, always."

"And what is it you want Mr. Stevens?"

He looked at me as a sly smile formed upon his lips as he said, "You." I could feel the heat in my cheeks, and I'm pretty sure I had turned three shades of red.

I leaned back and started eating again. I could feel Scott looking at me. I had to admit it was a bit unnerving but also hot. What this guy did to me.

*******
We did some more packing. Packing up a house was a lot of work. You find things you didn't even remember having to begin with when you moved before.

We made two piles, one we would be taking and a discarded one. It was weird to see my life boxed up like this. Ben and I had moved in shortly after we got married right after college.

I had stayed home while he worked. Shortly after we moved in, I found out I was pregnant. I couldn't wait to have kids running around as Ben and I settled into married life. It was a dream come true then things started to change between us. Sex became less, and he became more distant.

I should have seen the signs when we were dating because even then after we started as friends, then when he asked me out, I was so caught up with the idea of romance that I didn't notice that he forced himself to be affectionate.

My parents suspected, but I was too stubborn to listen. Then everything came crashing down that night. Kami was a year and a half when he told me he wanted a divorce. I felt blindsided by it. I offered marriage counseling, which we tried, but ultimately, we ended up in court. I sat there numb as the judge granted the divorce. Kami had turned two.

Then came custody. I didn't have any fight in me, so I just agreed to anything. Next came the job where I met Mel, who eventually introduced me to the twins.

After the divorced, I vowed never to date again or even opened myself up to that humiliation. I couldn't do it. I didn't want a smack in the face with another relationship failure. So, Ben and Jerry became my main men.

But that night, that fateful night, it happened. One drunken mishap led to meeting someone and falling in love with them. I never intended for that night to happen, but I was glad it did. Scott was so different from what I used to. I couldn't even describe it.

I felt two arms snake around me from behind, "What's got you so deep in thought?"

"I was thinking about things. How I'm leaving my past behind and moving on with my future," I said as I turned and looked at Scott. I smiled at him and he kissed me.

"Well, we need to get some sleep. The movers will be here early as will everyone else," he said to me.

"Okay," I smiled. Scott kissed me and turned and walked away. It was time to move on and leave the past behind. Ben was my past, but Scott was my future.
