Kim Seokjin had just finished the last training briefing so I gathered all of my things to finally go home with Jungwoo whose been strangely quiet this whole entire meeting.

Kim Seokjin came up to me with his hands ready to pat a head but he stopped and stared at my thigh.

"Yah! Mr. Jin, what are you staring at?" I asked while taking my jacket to cover myself.

I then felt a light playful slap on the head from the Kim Seokjin.

"Tell me why would I look at a old hag that way," He rolled his eyes playfully while I rubbed the area where he slapped me trying to ignore that he just called me a hag as I no longer wanted another slap in the head.

"I was just looking for Jungwoo, but where is he then if he isn't on your lap?" he asked and it immediately made me feel panicked.

I bent down to take a peek under the table picturing the angel hiding while drinking his banana milk but...

he wasn't there.

"He isn't under the table..." I said so helplessly. At a lost as to what to do.

Before Jin could even respond, I ran out of the room looking at each and every direction he could possibly go from these halls that seem like they could go on endlessly. This building has 90 floors. Where could my baby have gone???

Why does this boy always seem to wander off?

"Jungwoo where are you?"

-

When waking up, I thought I would see the little kid in my arms with me on the office couch, instead, I found a small bunny smiling at me placing paper frogs on my face that we both made just a few hours ago before taking a nap together on the couch.

He tried to run away from his sneaky act but my hands were quicker and took him into my grasp placing him on my lap as I tickled him, filling my office room with his angelic waves of laughter once more.

The moment was interrupted when we both heard the sound of our stomachs asking for food.

"Looks like someone's hungry,"

I took a glance at the time, it was only ten after six o'clock, maybe it wouldn't hurt to treat the kid for dinner then look for his parents.

I got up, still holding him in my arms as I situated his feet into his mini converse.

"What do you want to eat Jungjung?" I asked him while patting his head as we got into the elevator, carrying him in my arms.

The little one stopped playing with my earrings and thought.

"Appa, I want samgyetang," He said so joyfully while calling me the name I was now accustomed to ever since I gave up trying to stop him from his weird habit of calling me that. This child is extremely endearing.

It's perfect, there is a chicken place just across the street from here, where someone I knew used to love going there exactly for that same dish.

I shook the thought off as we now arrived the lobby where it was practically empty with only one woman facing her back towards us, we were now about to exit the building but the buzzing from my phone went off and so I carefully placed the smaller one to the ground and answered it.

I felt Jungwoo pull the edge of my sleeve as he tried to walk but I lifted my index finger up informing him to wait for a minute as I was now in a call with Jin Hyung.

I then heard the smaller one give a loud sigh expecting me to feel guilty for ignoring him, but I found myself sturdy enough to handle it.

"What is it Jin Hyung?"

"The security won't let me in the security camera room, can you please tell them I'm not here to steal the extra supply of cameras to film my handsome face again or can you just simply do what you simply do best and you know, fire them?"

"Wait, you're the one who's been stealing them?"

"..."

"Look, I'm helping a friend look for her son so just go and let me-" He told me as he broke from his suspicious silence.

"Eomma!" Jungwoo's voice filled the lobby causing Jin Hyung's voice to sound muffled through the phone.

The little man was no longer next to me and was now in the woman's embrace whose back was still facing me, I wish I could see her face.

The woman's sobs now filled the lobby while she cried out his name.

Jungwoo only gave me one last wave before walking out of the lobby in his mother's arms, the atmosphere was now completely different, why do I suddenly feel empty?

"You ungrateful child, are you even listening to me?" Jin's voice was now audible as the lobby was empty once more, with only me in it and Jin's voice breaking the silence.

"Hey, Jin Hyung, I don't think looking into the security cameras is now necessary."

"What do you mean—"

My voice cut his mid-sentence.

"It seems your friend has found her child already,"

-

"Come on sweetie, time for bed," I said as I entered Jungwoo's new bedroom as I was trying to teach him to be more independent with his sleeping habits.

"Wait," Jungwoo informed me as he was finishing, whatever he was doing behind his bed on the coffee table, I could only tell from crumples of paper that he was making something.

"Hey, what are you doing there Jungwoo?" I asked him as I was approaching him.

Paper frogs? I was surprised, despite the numerous times I've made them, I never taught him how to make one and yet here he was, on his desk making one.

"Done!" Jungwoo let out so joyfully as he jumped up from his position and came up to me, his hand extended towards me... offering the paper frog.

"For eomma," He told me so proudly, softening my once tense figure as I took the paper frog admiring his effort.

"It's beautiful,"

I unconsciously gave him a warm smile before patting his back toward his new bed.

He followed and in only a second, he was sound asleep, I gave him a light peck in the eyes and then made my way out of his room.

As I closed the door I admired my son's craftsmanship, curious.

"Exactly what did he do today?"

-

I observed my schedule for today as we went up the elevator but my focus kept on getting distracted by my jumpy little bunny causing the elevator to shake as we were now headed toward my desk where I will be working alongside my new boss who I still haven't met to this point...

Just yesterday, Jungwoo looked like he was going to collapse out of boredom at any moment, but why is he all suddenly excited?

The second the elevator doors opened, my little bunny hopped his way outside, I followed after him as I no longer wanted this little guy missing for the whole day again.

I was anxious to go after him as we were both roaming through hallways I've never been through, but it seems the little bunny is moving as if he's already familiarized himself through these hallways that are still foreign to me.

We haven't gone too far into the floor as Jungwoo had made a stop when he entered a really modern looking area where there was a huge desk, my workspace, as Jin Hyung spoke about my work desk being situated next to the big elegant office doors.

So this is the big office doors Jin Hyung told me about? The door where you were not allowed to enter without permission and yet there was Jungwoo, already turning the knob making his way in.

What is up with this boy?

I had no choice but to run after him as there was no one else to stop him.

But when I entered the room, the strong scent of men's cologne welcomed me into the big elegant office, the dark room made it hard for me to look for my son as the only way I could find him is through the continuous shrieks Jungwoo lets out when excited.

I followed the his excited shrieks and found myself in front of a desk.

It was quite a messy desk as it was with filled paperwork just sloppily spread on the desk.

I was blinded a bit when the light was reflecting on something toward my eyes, it seemed to be reflecting something from the desk and so I leaned forward to take a look at what it was.

I shivered down to my very bones on what I had just read.

"Jeon Jungkook: Cheif Executive Officer (CEO)" I read from the engraved letters on the metal name tag on the desk.

The sound of a cough caused me to turn around.

After seeing him, my mind went completely blank as I didn't picture the man that would soon be my boss would be the man I no longer wanted to see.

His eyes, those brown orbs, were so piercing that it could just go right through me, reading me. His expression making me want to just hide under a rock for all eternity.

He then let out that same exact smirk he used to give me.

"Don't tell me you're going to leave just because you found out I'm your boss now right," he paused before continuing.

"Just like how you left me?"

Edit: When she refers to Kim Seokjin, I'm aware it's supposed to be Oppa since she's being portrayed as a female and Hyung is used for males but when I wrote this, I wrote this at a time where Oppa was considered "cringe" in the kpop community because of the exaggerated way it's said. For example... Oli London-

I also wasn't aware that at the time, these terms were determined by your gender. I was a crazed kpop/oozlang little girl okay. I was so confident in my knowledge of "korean culture" from the romance k-dramas I watched. Sometimes I do just wanna table slam my pre-teen self with a book titled, "A List of Why I Just Hate You".
