It had been a week since the baseball match and Sam was still in party mood.

"Good morning sis," he said, taking his school bag

"Good morning bro," I replied.

"Had your milk?" He asked.

"No shit," I replied, and he chuckled.

"Okay, I got to go, bye," He said while he was tying his laces.

"Okay, bye," I waved at him.

"By the way, I'm having a party tonight," He said trying to open the door quickly.

"Get your friends also," He said trying to shut the door.

"Get back here right now Mr. Sam Jackson!" I shouted in my commando voice.

He came back acting as if nothing happened.

"Yeah?"

"What 'yeah'? You are not having any party till the tests get over." I said.

"But we won the match last week," He pouted.

"Yeah, and we also had a winning party for it," I told him.

"Come on, please," He begged.

"No means no." I said, packing my bag.

"Please, Maya," he begged, making a puppy face.

"I'll think about it once you score at least 16 and above," I firmly told him.

"Fine, but you know I'm elder than you right?" he sighed.

"Well.. you sure don't act like one." I retorted and he gasped.

"I act as a perfect big old brother." He puffed his chest with pride and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Let's get to school before we get late," I ignored him.

Sam took the car keys and made his way out of the house and to the car.

We reached school about forty five minutes early. We reached early because there was no traffic, however we were surprised, nonetheless.

Once I got out of the car, I saw Jennifer standing near the gates, so I strode across the parking lot towards her. It was supposed to be her first day of college.

" 'Sup, Jen," I greeted her once I was a couple feet away.

"Hey, dude," she replied, happily.

We talked about her vacations for a couple minutes.

"So," she started slowly.

"What 'so'?"

"How is... Brian?" She winked at me.

"What do you mean by that? He's fine, as far as I can tell." I replied.

"Come on!" She lightly slapped my shoulder. "You guys aren't a thing yet?"

"Obviously not!" I said. "Why would we be?"

"My instincts tell me that you guys will be soon." She winked once more.

"Okay, I gotta go now," I said, ignoring her last sentence.

"Bye, see you at 3:00," she waved, and I waved back.

Around 12:00 I made my way to the cafeteria and joined the group at our usual lunch table.

"Hey, guys," I smiled, sitting next to Dylan.

"Hey, Maya," they all chorused back at different intervals.

Suddenly, someone slapped my back.

"Sam!" I scolded, rolling my eyes.

"What? You should be used to that, I have been doing that to you for the past 15 years of our lives," He asked, innocently.

"15 years?" I asked, rolling my eyes.

"Yeah, ask mum if you want." He told me while taking a bite of his pizza.

"Speaking of mum, she had called yesterday," I informed.

"What?! when?" He asked, freaked out.

"At night since you were out doing 'that' I told her you had gone out for some reason." I told him.

"Oh, shit!" He said, face-palming.

Just then Dylan hooted.

"Ooh, busted." He laughed, and everyone joined him.

"Okay, I'll call her later." Said Sam.

Just then, Brian entered the cafeteria.

"Hey Brian," Waved Dylan.

Brian waved back, and looked at me and his face became serious.

"Dude, I'll be sitting near the ground," he told Dylan and faded into the crowd.

"That was weird" I commented, taking a bite out of my pasta.

"What?" Sam asked, hogging his food.

"What Brian just did," I answered.

"What did he do?" He asked, dumbly.

"Nothing, never mind," I said, rolling my eyes.

After finishing my lunch, I went to dump my plate when I saw Ashley.

Ash was Jennifer's sister. Typical tomboy. Sometimes she hated me, sometimes she acted like I was her good friend. We both loved basketball to hell and back.

"Hey Maya" She said smiling mischieviously.

"Sup Ash" I replied

" So how are your friends you know Brian, Dylan and all" She asked

Did I forget to mention she loves to know my secrets and she would do anything to find them out.

"As usual, none of your business " I said

" By the way, I got accepted into the business school" she said excitingly

"Wow Ash awesome " I replied

"I know right, so I'll not be coming after this semester." She told

"Finally" I exaggerated

"You are so rude" She glares at me

"Joking bro, I'm happy for you" I said

" Hey! Wanna play a match" She asked

" Okay, have fun losing" I mocked

"We'll see that"

And we headed over to the basketball court and played for a while until I went to get my bio test results.
