In honor of us hitting 7 THOUSAND votes, I present the official sneak peek for the second act of OLLIE

AVONLEA WAS A small town. Everybody knew everybody and there wasn't anything that people didn't know about. First, it was the Cuthbert's adopting an orphan. Then, it was Jon Blythe's father dying, and Gilbert leaving. The next thing was unpredictable to everyone in the town. In fact, the word of it spread all the way past Charlottetown. It was the word of a small outbreak of influenza in the town of Alberta. At first, the people of Avonlea thought that it was contained. It wasn't.

Five and a half months after Gilbert left:

"Anne, are you ready to go?" Marilla Cuthbert asks from the kitchen of Green Gables. She was taking items from the counter in the kitchen and packing them into a large wicker basket she had received from Matthew when they were children. The items were jars and covered bowls filled with food like bread, crackers, and oatmeal.

"Coming, Marilla!" Anne calls down to the older woman. Anne finishes tying her hair into two long braids. She turns and runs down the stairs, swinging herself around the banister. The girl heads for the kitchen and grabs her own basket with soup the pair had made a little while ago.

"I've got the bandages, make sure to pack the second loaf of bread." The woman says to her daughter and Anne nods, reaching for the golden bread that was baked to perfection due to Marilla's excellent skills.

"Don't worry, it's already packed." Anne responds. The duo go outside to where Matthew was waiting with the sleigh. He helps both of them into it and they begin to travel to the Fontaine property of Evergreen. They huddle together to keep warm in the cold wind. Eventually, they pull up to the front of the house and don't bother knocking before entering. They've been expected.

"Go on and heat the soup up, I'm sure it got cold due to the time it took to get here." Marilla instructs Anne and she grabs a pot from one of the cabinets sitting next to the stove. She keeps her hands steady when she pours the soup into the pot, careful not to drip any of it onto the counter. She takes some firewood that rests to the right of the stove and places them into the heater, lighting a match they had brought with them to start it. Anne waits patiently and once it is warm enough she pours it back into the bowl. Marilla takes a tray and places the soup, bread, and a glass of water onto it.

Before they go upstairs, they both take a cloth and tie it around their mouths. Marilla takes the tray, Anne takes the bandages. They both begin the rise to the second story of the house and then to the farthest room on the left of the hallway. Anne knocks slowly and a weak 'come in' is muttered from the person on the other side of the door.

Anne opens it slowly and looks to the gravely ill person laying in bed with a bucket full of blood sitting next to them. "Goodmorning, Ollie."
