Taehyung hasn't been sleeping well these past days, constantly waking up screaming in the middle of the night because he was afraid of drowning. He hated staying on this ship and especially hated more that there was no escape, also no possibility to run away from his fate.

Because once he would arrive back home, his father would want him to seal the marriage and officially agree to it in a royal court. And the prince wasn't very fond of this future. Taehyung just wished for someone to come and save him from his misery because not even Seokjin could stop their parents. Not even begging helped as it was his destiny as the kingdom's heir.

His destiny was set and there was no way he would get out of it anytime soon. Or ever. Taehyung might be prince and living the best life but he was basically nothing more than a prisoner and breeding toy. His opinion didn't matter, only the use he could be of. And these thoughts and believes were truly torturing Taehyung.

The little prince sighed, turning around in his bunk bed and stared at the light wooden ceiling. It was probably time to get up but on the other side, who was going to control him? One of the few advantages of staying alone on a ship, was that he had no one to tell him what to do. He was a passenger on the ship which meant that he wasn't obligated to work. As if his father would allow that but that was another case.

A sudden crash outside made him flinch before he heard cursing and a few laughter. He shook his head before yawning loudly, deciding to get up and dress, maybe read a book and write a letter to Seokjin has the other prince has asked him to. Cotton clothes now adored his slim healthy figure, he was proud to have healthy muscles and a trained body. He took fighting lessons after all, one of his father's requests.

Another crash sounded through his cabin and he lifted his head concerned. This time, the crash wasn't followed by the laughter of the ship crew.

But by screams.

"SIREN!!", someone yelled outside and Taehyung gasped, beautiful eyes wide before he quickly launched forward to grab his sword, running towards the entrance door. He has never seen a real siren before but dealt with lots of other shit to know about defending himself and maybe he could help the crew getting rid of the sea creatures.

Sirens. Deadly inhabitants of the darkest, coldest parts of the sea, their eyes glowing black or dark red, burgundy even and their minds were filled with incredibly evil thoughts and the thirst for human flesh. Their singing could lure any human to their deadly cave where they would be eaten alive but a siren attacking a ship during daylight? That was something Taehyung hasn't heard of so he was also curious on why this siren decided to attack them.

Once he barged outside he was met with utter chaos, men running around screaming while the ship was shaking, dark waves hitting the railing and black water soaking the ground. This was the work of just one siren? Taehyung really wondered how powerful a mere creature could be that it terrified a whole entire ship.

"Prince Taehyung! Go back inside!", the captain has spotted him, yelling out commands before running over to the young prince. "I can help. Where's the creature?", the gorgeous male asked, wild hair hanging into his eyes, pouty lips pressed into a thinner line. "Under the ship, my Prince, that's the problem. It's trying to make the ship sink. And that's not the only problem", the captain curtly informed, stumbling when another wave violently hit the ship.

Taehyung lifted his head, eyes growing as wide as saucers when he saw the large black ship slowly coming closer. "Pirates...", he whispered horrified, this was the worst of luck a sailor could get. First, a siren and then a pirate ship...?!

"Do you think... there's a possibility that this siren... is distracting us so the pirates could get closer?", the little prince timidly asked, not realizing that the captain was slowly pushing him back towards his cabin. "A creature with a plan? Such a scum cannot think like we can, Prince", the captain said, disgust clearly visible in his voice which confused Taehyung.

He has learned from his father to never judge someone you didn't know, even if it was a sea creature. The same moment, he heard a high pitched scream before melodic sounds hit his ear drums and he turned his head. His huge scared puppy eyes fell on a slim figure sitting on the railing and luring pirates with an enchanting voice. It was clearly a male, beautiful in sight and as deadly as he was alluring.

The creature lifted his head, locking eyes with the little prince who gasped shocked, stumbling away and the captain quickly caught him, staring worried at his most precious passenger. He was clearly instructed to return the beautiful prince safely back to his father but ended up getting attacked by a siren and pirates. It truly wasn't the man's lucky day.

And then, the pirate ship reached them, screams got loud and the first bloody corpse fell to the ground when the first dark figures jumped onto deck with horrifying yells. The siren on the railing laughing mischievously.

"My prince, get back inside!", the captain said, gently but firmly pushing Taehyung back inside the cabin, the little prince gasped, a sobbed gasp leaving his lips by the sight of these dangerous men. Men who just wanted to kill and take anything precious they had on deck.

"We're getting attacked!"
