As you were just wanting to walk along the forest wanting some fresh air, a huge storm interrupted your fun, and you cursed under your breath as you began to run under the trees. As you ran, you ran into Sonic and the gang. 

"Yo! Y/N! We're heading to Amy's! Wanna come?" Sonic asked as he held a scared Tails in his arms. "Uh, Yeah! Sure!" And with that, the gang ran past you. As you were about to run after them, Amy's voice was heard.

"Hey! Wait--Wait for me!"

The pink hedgehog grabbed your arm and began to run after the others.

"So, it will be a slumber party!" Amy spoke up as she and the others were at her place. Sonic, Tails, you, Knuckles, and Sticks sat on her two couches, while Amy stood in front of them pacing back and forth. 

"We'll stay up late, watch movies, eat snacks-"

"Not like I do that anyway." You grinned as you placed your feet on her table, and draped your arms behind your head.

"Play truth or dare!-"

"Truth! Where are the snacks?" Sonic asked, smiling softly.

"I DARE you to get them for us!" Knuckles added with a smirk as he leaned into the cushions of the couch. 

"Not sure you guys understand truth or dare, but I'd be happy to whip up some hors d'oeuvres!" Amy smiled, and you cringed.

"Ew! Why does that sound like horse poop!?"

"Horse poop? I wanted snacks! I hate this game!" Knuckles grumbled.

Amy came back from the kitchen with a tray full of different kinds of foods. 

"Here you go! Quiche Lorraine, vegetarian spring rolls, and an assortment of baked Camembert and Brie cheeses on rosemary focaccia toast!" Amy placed the tray on the table just in front of you.

You got into a predator pose and placed your feet back on the ground, your fingers looking like claws as you stared at the food.

"I heard Brie!"

And with that, you all jumped at the foods, and began to eat. Sonic grabbed some Brie, but you punched him in the gut, making him whine and drop the food.

"Brie! My precious!" You hiss.

"Your a weirdo!" Sonic scoffed, trying to fight back to grab the last remaining cheese of Brie. 

"Not bad! Could have used some ketchup, though." Knuckles told the pink hedgehog, who grumbled at her fiver friends. 

Soon, a clap of thunder roared, scaring Tails as he screamed and jumped in Sonic's arms. Knuckles soon smiled. "Ooh! Lighting phobia pile!"

"Who's scared of light-AH!" You yelled when you felt Knuckles grab your arm and he dragged you with him as he jumped over to Sonic and Tails, poorly missing, making you fall on top of the two on the couch, and Knuckles fell off the edge of the couch. He soon stood up and with a sheepish smile, he revealed a glass horse, with a glass horn in the other hand.

Amy grumbled but took a deep breath. 

"It's okay. A glass horse if just as good as a glass unicorn, right?" She told herself and put her hands on her hips like a mother as she looked at Sticks who began to speak.

"It's coming pretty hard out there. It can't get any worse."

"It's time for arts and crafts!" Amy grinned.

"...I spoke too soon-."

"Yeah!" You cheered, running up to Amy with some crayons and paper, almost jumping into Sticks.

"Using a spring of holly and just a few everyday household items that you have to order from a craft catalog, you too can create a lovely rustic wicker centerpiece! How's everyone else's centerpieces coming along?" Amy asked as she looked up after she finished her own centerpiece but soon made a 'wtf' face as she saw Sonic and Knuckles on her table with glitter and golden ribbon.

Knuckles had some sort of leaf crown, with ribbons all around his body, and Sonic stood beside him with a pink rose in hand.

(hmmmmm~ a pink rose?~- OKAY JINXX! GET YO HEAD OUTTA THE CLOUDS!! 🥸)

"And now for the piece de resistance."

Knuckles bit the end of the rose, until all of a sudden he sneezed, the ribbons and glitter getting everywhere. They two looked at Amy sheepishly.

"Look at the mess you made!" Amy snapped.

"Uh- don't you mean...'Look at this art? We made." Knuckles grinned, posing once more.

"And if you think this is bad...I think Y/N is having too much fun with the crayons..." Sonic looked over his shoulder, Amy followed his gaze and she let out a sharp gasp. 

You had a small drawing decorating her walls, and you were bout to draw more until you felt her grab your wrist and pull you back. making to topple over onto your back and you giggled nervously at her.

"Y/N! YOU HAD PAPER!" She cried, licking her finger, and thankfully was able to wipe the marker off clean.

"I'm sorry! Your wall looks so boring! I think I deserve a 'thank you y/n/n, for making my wall-less boring!-'"

You stopped talking when you saw her glare over you. You yelped and ran over to the others, who just laughed at the whole scenario with you and Amy. 

"Okay! This is okay!." Amy sighed, walking towards the group again. "It's time for one of my favorite party activities...clean-up time!" 

"I'd rather fight 100 chicken sized-zombies..." You grumbled.

"Ha! Coward! I'd rather fight 200 ZOMBIE-sized chickens!" Sonic smirked

"Physically, that's not possible..." Tails pointed out

"Yeah, also, who likes chickens! How about.....CHICKENS!"

"I'd rather slam my tongue in a car door--" Sticks finished. 

"IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU WANT! We are cleaning up!" Amy snapped, making Sonic sigh in despair. "C'mon, Amy! We want to do something fun! Like pole-vaulting over the couch or shot-putting Tails across your living room, or hang Y/N from the ceiling and see how long she can stay put--"

"What?-"

"NO! You guys have made a big enough mess already! Don't touch anything, don't do anything, just sit there quietly until the storm passes!" She yelled, and the gang sighed, sitting down on Amy's couch. 

"Who's ready for popovers!" She asked in now a sweet, cheeky way.

It's been at least an hour, and the gang was bored out of their minds! Sticks were playing with one of her twigs she stashes in her spikes on the back of her head, Knuckles and Tails are having a thumb war, Amy is in the kitchen aware of what's about to happen, and Y/N is laid over Sonic's legs, staring at the ceiling. 

"Hey! Look at that dot!" Y/N giggled, pointing up. Sonic followed her finger to see a brown-ish dot. "If you look at it long enough, it looks like it's moving~" 

Sonic sighed, thinking you've lost your mind.

"There's got to be something fun to do around here." The blue hedgehog said as he looked over at a pink drawer Amy had and opened it to take out a purple book. He smiled and looked at the cover. It had a pink rose and a title written in cursive.

"Well, well, well~ 'A Rose Without Thorns, a play in three acts.'" He read off the cover, making the others look towards him, and you sat up, leaning on Knuckles' arm as your legs were crisscrossed, facing Sonic.

"And guess who wrote it?"

"Me?!" Knuckles asked, smiling.

"No-, not you- Amy!" 

"Oh..." The red echidna frowned. 

Sonic cleared his throat and opened a page, starting to read off the pink pages, the words written in pink ink. 

"An empty stool sits under a spotlight as the lovely, charismatic, and super-popular Annie Rose appears through the curtain and pours herself a glass of lemonade-"

Sticks grunts as she snatches the book out of Sonic's hands, and began to read herself.

"It was years since I first met that mysterious stranger, the one with fur...the color of the ocean....- who do we know with ocean-colored fur?" Sticks asked, looking at her friends. 

"Me?!"

"Well, it can't be me--" Sonic laughed as he stood up and took the book back. "I mean, I am mysterious, I'm more of a royal blue."

"Sonar enters and crosses the stage in his scarlet loafers."

"Sonar: Hey, Annie, I'm gonna play volleyball! I only play against myself because nobody else can keep up."

"See! That doesn't sound anything like me!" Sonic finished reading, placing his hands on his hips as he spoke. "He's an ego-maniac, but without the awesomeness to back it up." Sticks grin as she takes the book back and began to read.

"Thump. Thump. Thump. A knock at the door was like the sound of someone big and strong but unable to figure out a simple doorknob! Annie Rose sashays to the door and answers, revealing Shoulders, the hulking dullard of a farm hand. "

"Me?..."

"Here! I wanna read!" You chirped, jumping over Knuckles and grasped the book, and began to read as you laid upside down on the table.

"Shoulder strides towards Annie, but soon gets distracted by a shiny object!-"

Knuckles rockets up from his seat and protests. 

"It doesn't say that! Give it here!" The red echidna grabbed the book from your hands and was about to read until the edges of the book caught his eyes and began to sparkle.

He cocks an eyebrow up and scratches his chin.

"Wait- what was I about to do?"

You grumble as you jump on his back and read the book.

"After Shoulder enters, a A/N jumps in. Smiling from ear to ear as she sits on the couch."

"R/N: Annie! You told me we were going to bake some cookies today!! What's Shoulder's and Sonar doing heeeeere?!"

Sonic raises an eyebrow.

"Y/N, why does that sound a lot like you?" He asked, and you 'psshed' "No way it does! I'm more of a run-in, not jump!"

Tails smiled as he took the book from you and read.

"Before Annie can reply, a naive young fox named Taylor enters, cowering beneath the legs of Sonar..- Hey! I don't cower!-AHH!" A loud thunder strike scared Tails, making him run under Sonic and cower in her legs, making the hedgehog roll his eyes and smile down at his yellow friend.

"Curse you, irony!" Tails murmured, as Sticks snatches the book.

"Just when all hope is lost, enters Twigs, the crazy-eyed feral badger. 

"Twigs: Mr.s Annie! The robot apocalypse is nigh. I intercepted a transmission from my toaster!"

"This is just ridiculous...everyone knows when the robo-apocalypse arrives...it's the CAN-OPENERS that will transmit signals! Toaster--"

"I mean, toasters could- but I mean it will--" As you were about to respond, the sound of a tray hitting the floor made you all turn your heads to find a fuming Amy glaring at you all, with the tray of food spilled below her feet.

"What. Are. You. DOING!" She snapped. "You're reading my play!?" She stomped over to Sonic and glares into his eyes, with her hands on her hips. "That's an invasion of my privacy!"

"We have a right to read it!" Sonic snapped back, taking the book back. "Since we happen to be the characters!"

"It's not based on you guys!" Amy tried to keep a straight face, but she couldn't help but have a hint of blush.

"Oh no?" Sticks smirked, taking out a spoon, making Knuckles smile, and chased after Sticks with the spoon in her hand.

"OOH! GIMME! GIMME! GIMME!"

Amy faced the two as her hands were placed on her hips.

 Sticks ran towards the kitchen and smirked when Knuckles grabbed the spoon. He soon realized what she was doing and snapped.

"Oooh, like Twigs isn't exactly like you?"

"She'd be wiped out by the robo-apocalypse in two seconds! Taking advice from toasters!-----can you believe these people?"

"And! It's not only Knuckles! Y/N over here acts like the child she is in the play!"

You gasped at her. "I do not! Sure, I may be childish, but I'm not an idiot like 'Shoulders!'"

"Hey! Don't bring me into this!-"

"Why?! I mean WHO gets distracted by A PAPER CLIP? A PAPER CLIP, DUDE?!"

"Guys! Stop fighting!" Tails called over your voice, making you look over at him. "Right, Sonic?" Tails looked to his best friend for some backup, until Knuckles spoke up.

"Was that you talking, Taylor? I couldn't see you under Sonic's shadow!"

Sonic snickered at that. "Good one, Knux." Tails glared at the blue animal and scowled. "Well, At least I'm not an egomaniac, SONAR!"

"That guy wasn't anything like me!" Sonic snapped back at the young yellow fox. 

"Oh, my deepest apologies! He forgot to mention 'cocky-little-hedgehog! who always thinks the world revolves around him!'" You snapped, having Sonic now glare at you. 

"Hey! That's because I'm the awesome hero who saves the village's butts like what. 10 times a week?"

"You know what's not awesome?" Amy spoke up after being silent for so long. "Rummaging through my drawers and reading my personal manuscrpit!"

"Oh, pfft! Like you gave us a choice! Your the one who told us to sit around and do nothing!" You yelled at the pink hedgehog.

"That doesn't give you the right to SNOOP THROUGH MY STUFF!" Amy snapped, making you roll your eyes and look away from her, both yours and her arms were crossed. 

"When this storm blows over,  maybe we should all go our separate ways!" Knuckles spoke up.

"Why wait? I'm going to the kitchen! Where I will make and consume all the dainty hors d'oeuvres I want...WITHOUT KETCHUP!" Amy snapped as she snatched the book out of Sonic's hands and stomped past the group.

"FINE!"

And that my friends, is how this DUMB war started.

You called dibs on a corner beside the kitchen, somewhere in between there and Sonic's dub little shelter made out of couches and random stuff he found, while you had some pillows, two blankets, and some couches to hold to blankets up, along with some chairs as barriers. 

You even had your own bodyguard, you named him Barry! It's just some pillow and brooms for arms, BUT YOU MADE HIM SO HIS YOUR CHILD.

Only around 20 minutes passed, and you started to get hungry. You peeked out a small little window you made out of comforters and pillows, looking left and right. You saw Tails and Sonic talking to each other, Tails looked like he had some paper clip necklace, and he was trying to offer it to Sonic, while Sticks and Knuckles made their own fun in their own forts. 

You snuck out, and slowly crawled over to the kitchen, where Amy's fort. There was a small opening, revealing the fridge and your stomach growled. You had to risk it for the...food in the fridge that you need right NOW!

"Careful...careful--phew, that was-- AHH!" You were dragged into Amy's fort, where you were bombarded with pillows.

"AWAY! AWAY, ANIMAL!!" She shrieked as she smacked you in the face. You let out a cried whine. 

"I just wanted some fOoOooooOd!"

You were able to get away from Amy and run out. Knocking into your own fort, some of it breaking apart.

"No! BARRY!" You cried as you watched him get crushed. 

"Eh.." You shrugged, soon shivering as you felt a breeze hit your bare skin. You didn't have your shoes on, and they were all the way in the front and you were too cold to move all the way over there. 

You peeked your head out to see Sonic and Tails shivering, Sticks was also beside them. You sighed and walked over to them.

"Don't ever...say that again!" Sonic teethed at Knuckles as they stood in front of his fort. 

"Come on, Knuckles! it's cold! And you've got all the blankets!" Sticks whined, looking over at you then your fort.

You saw and chuckled. 

"DON'T YOU DARE!" You slapped her arm, and she just rolled her eyes. 

Knuckles soon walked out wearing a blanket robe, staring down at his friends.

"Fools! You're offerings mean nothing to me! The thermostat is under my control and only munchies will end this winter! HA! Who's the dullard now? No seriously, I'd like to know-"

"Knuckles! If you think I'm giving in to your ploy for food, your wrong! NOW TURN OFF THE AIR CONDITIONING!" Amy's voice was heard in the background.

"NEVER!"

"For too long, we've allowed Knuckles to control that thermostat with an iron fist! We must topple our oppressor from his cushiony perch! Join with me and you'll never want for comfy blankets again!" 

"FREEDOM!"

You each grabbed a pillow and began to smack Knuckles' fort, making the blankets weak and topple over, just as you had planned. Knuckles growled as he emerged from the blankets. 

"Oh. So it's a war you want, eh?" Knuckles soon smirked as he grabbed a pillow and began to chase you around. 

Sonic chased Sticks, while Knuckles was hot on yours and Tails' tails. Sadly, Tails was tackled by Knuckles and was bombarded by pillows. Tails laughed as he was assaulted and you gasp. "Do not worry friend! I shall save you from this beast!" And with that, you jumped on Knuckles' back, but that backfired when he was able to flip you over his shoulder, and somehow was able to dig his fingers into your stomach, making you shriek with laughter and kick your legs.

"HEHAHAAY! TAAAAHAILS! HAHAAEEELP!" You begged through your laughter, but Tails just laughed. 

Sonic chased Sticks around the house, hitting her with a pillow. She soon tripped over her feet and crashed into a pot and pan wall, and Knuckles let you down, assaulting you and Tails with pillows.

Feathers were everywhere, and soon you all died down, and Sonic looked outside to see sunlight. "Hey, the storm's over! Yo, Amy! Let's head back to the beach! Since we have Y/N, you and she can be a judge for that sandcastle contest!" Sonic called over to his pink friend, who walked out of the kitchen and just stared at the huge mess. 

"I can't believe you guys....You criticize my snacks but eat them anyway? Make a mockery of arts and crafts! And make fun of my play....!" Amy said the last line with a bit of silence. "And now, you're going to leave without cleaning up?!"

She stomped to her door and tried to open the door, but it didn't work. So she grumbled and took her hammer, and smashed the door down. Leaving them. 

"I think we owe someone an apology..." Sonic spoke quietly, looking at his friends.

"Me!?"

"Amy's right. We took things too far." Tails admitted.

"You know, Amy's play wasn't all that bad..." Sticks added, and you nodded. 

"Yeah! I actually really like Shoulders! He seems funnier and lovable!" You agreed. 

"Yeah!" Sonic grinned. "It's almost as if they were cartoon versions of us!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah, That's it!'

"I think I know how we can make it up to Amy!' You grinned, huddling together and making a plan.

"C'mon, Amy! I promise you're going like it!" You smiled as you lead Amy toward the spot you wanted her to be. "Unless it's a clean house and an unbroken unicorn? I'm not interested!' She huffed as you sat her down on a log, and took off her blindfold. She gasped when she saw a large stage, with some audience members sitting beside her.

Sonic and Y/N were the first on stage and began to speak.
