-SINS POV-

The walls of this room aren't strong enough to hide the undeniable (except to Lina, she finds it extremely easy to deny) connection between me and the girl that sleeps less than a metre away from me.

I like her, and for once, I'm not afraid.

Things aren't meant to last forever. I can acknowledge and accept that letting this girl into ny life is a risk. A huge one, at that.

But sometimes risks are worth taking.

I grab my phone which rests on my bedside table, the reason I awoke. I mean, it's ten am, so it isn't a huge deal, but I was planning on sleeping in today- after some days of exams we have a day off to 'revise' (yeah right, aka getting drunk or going out with your mates) and revive.

My sleep in was meant to be how I was reviving.

I click on my messages where my notification lies.

Missy.

Missy: Hey Sin, Lina isn't answering. Could you get her to call me tomorrow? I'm coming down to sort out the papers before her birthday (more organised than I was with you!).

I send back a reply, saying I will and how I hope she's okay. Missy has practically been like a mum
to me since I was young, for that I'll forever be grateful.

Now I'm awake, I don't see the point in going back to sleep. I crawl out of bed quietly, Lina is still fast asleep, buried under her duvet, but I can still see a flash of her red curls.

She's had her hair straight most days recently. She's also been in a weirdly, well, just a strange mood. Major mood swings, but they all seem genuine - I haven't seen drugs in our room for a few days.

I turn on the kettle, my jaw tensing as I worry it'll wake her up. She's an amazing girl, but if you wake her up then holy shit.

Long story short, your dead meat.

"Sin?" She yawns.

Fuck. I scan the room, but there's nowhere I can run to without her noticing. Guess I'm dead meat then.

"Morning little red." I say cheerfully as the kettle finishes boiling and I make a green tea each as we've ran out of normal and sadly no coffee.

She sits up, still yawning. "What time is it?"

I tell her the time and she nods, disappearing to the bathroom.

When she comes out, I hand her the tea I made her and we sit back on our beds, facing each other.

"Take me to McDonald's. Please? I'll pay." She says randomly, and the word McDonalds (or the opportunity to spend time with her) makes my mouth water.

I remember Jagger giving me his car keys yesterday as his parents are staying here at the moment so he doesn't need the car.

"Okay."

******

"Open up, then."

Lina opens her mouth, trying to contain her laughter as I feed her the pancakes I ordered (yet she decided I could have her chocolate muffin, as pancakes sounded so much better.)

"I feel like a toddler." She giggles, a noise that recently has been coming out her mouth far more and I for one love it.

I chuckle back, handing her the cutlery so she can feed herself like a normal seventeen year old girl as I take a bite from the muffin. Honestly, the McMuffins are really good, so I don't even care that she made me switch.

"So. I took you to McDonalds, little red."

She rolls her eyes, gesturing round the room. "Nah, really? I thought I was in fucking legoland."

"I've never been to legoland. Anyways, back to what I was saying. I took you to McDonalds, so now I get to take you somewhere else."

Lina tilts her head to the side. "I don't get how that works, but sure. I have no plans anyway. So, where you taking me, crybaby?"

"We're going to the cinema, baby." I mock a voice from a movie - but I couldn't tell you which one - as a grin plasters across my face.

She puts her face in her hand, not even bothering to ask what we're watching.

When we arrive at the cinema, we're both feeling more awake and excited. The only movie on is Me Before You, I've read the book and was extremely gassed to hear this however Lina kept moaning about how stupid romance novels and movies were.

"I hope you enjoy, here's your slush and popcorn." The worker says as I hand over the money.

Lina mutters, "I'm sure we will."

I elbow her and she grins sarcastically, before we take our seats in the back of the movie theatre.

The film starts, and I lean back into my chair, prepared for the whirlwind of emotions I felt when reading this tragic love story.

"This is stupid. He wants to die, that's not anyone elses fucking choice." She whispers.

I place my hand on her thigh, massaging gently. "Shut up, little red, watch the goddamn movie."

At the end of the film, my nickname defines me as my eyes fill with tears.

"Crybaby, crybaby, crybaby." Lina chants, teasing me.

I glare at her.

"You look so happy right now, Sin." She says with her sarcastic voice like always, causing me to chuckle along with her.

We head out the cinema and I don't want the day to end so early, it's 3pm (that movie must've been long) and as we're in the main town there is so much we can do.

Two ideas spring to my mind and I beam at myself, because I'm a fucking genius.

"Why are you smiling like a creep, you look like bloody momo." Lina laughs, complimenting me as per usual.

I turn to face her as we're walking down the road. "Have you ever been rollerskating?"

She sighs, putting her head in her hands but she does follow me when I change direction, turning towards the road the rollerskating place is on. I hope it's available and you don't have to book, after my genius idea this day has to work.

We arrive at the rollerskating place and I insist on paying- Lina and I get into about a twenty minute argument about it, typical her, but she eventually gives up as she has a 'sore throat'.

"Have you been skating before?"

Lina bites her lip, shaking her head. "Nope."

With immaculate timing, she almost slips up and I find it so hilarious that I fall over from laughing. Lina, who seems to be great at just about fucking everything, finally has a weakness.

As she struggles on the rink though, I find it less and less funny, creating a strong urge to help her.

"Here." I hold my hand out and she gratefully takes it, slipping hers in mine as we skate side by side.

There's a few occasions where Lina nearly falls, but my hand gives her the stability she needs as she uses her strength and confidence to get up again.

"You enjoying this?"

She rolls her eyes, looking at me. "Obviously."

I grin, she may sound sarcastic but I can see in her eyes that this day means something to her, and something could be everything.

The music taste is amazing in Lina's opinion they play all the classics like Smells Like Teen Spirit and I write Sins not Tragedies but in my personal opinion I prefer when they played Taylor Swift.

I'm a sucker for love songs, books and films and I'm weirdly proud of it.

The devil teases me when it plays Low (most commonly known as Apple Bottom Jeans though) and Lina randomly decides she's the sort of girl who dances.

She lets go of my hand as she yells out the rap, going down to the ground whenever it sings 'shawty went low low low low low low low low' and flicking her hair throughout the song like she's the main character in an American high school movie, or a British college novel.

I don't understand how every girl on earth always seems to know the lyrics to this song, are females born with the words engraved in their minds? I don't know, but it baffles me.

At the end of the song, Lina uses my arms to help her up and smirks at me as we continue to skate round.

"So?"

"So what?" I say innocently and she laughs, paired with her classic eyeroll.

She pulls me off the rink and we sit into a booth.

"Your dancing was great, little red."

Lina grins proudly as she pulls her phone out, checking the time.

"Wait, what the fuck? We've been here three hours." She says in disbelief, shaking her head.

I smile, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "Time flies when your having fun."

"Exactly, that's why I'm confused."

I pout angrily and she laughs again, god that laugh I could listen to it all day.

"Can we take a photo, please, little red?" I beg and she tuts but opens snapchat, not choosing a filter as she wants the photo to be authentic or whatever.

I wrap my arm around her waist and she rests her head on my shoulder as we take a photo. She isn't smiling, but she equally isn't frowning so I'll take it.

"We look like a couple." I blurt out as I look at the picture, with instant regret as I see her eyes glaze with coldness.

She stands up, skating in the direction of the rink. "But we're not."

*****
When it's been a nice sunny day, then suddenly the weather goes badly and your suddenly filled with shivers, rain, thunder and lightning- that's how I feel right now.

The joy and warmth we felt dissolved the minute I made a stupid little remark. The coldness returned, and the shivers won't leave.

It's 8pm now, my legs are killing me yet the idea of going home yet doesn't appeal to me.

"Do you wanna go to the cliff? By the beach?"

Lina looks up at me. "Isn't that a long drive?"

"We have time, and anyway, the longer the journey, the better."

"The longer the journey, the better," she nods, testing the taste of the words on her tongue, "okay. Sure. Let's go crybaby."

We arrive at the cliff near the beach (I say near the beach, but there's no sand, the water reaches the edge of the cliffs all the time.

Climbing to the top, I attempt to hold Lina's hand but she reluctantly pulls it away, causing me to sigh out of regret as we reach the place.

We sit down on the floor, looking out at the ocean with the night sky looming above it, almost as though it's guarding the sea with all it's might.

Lina shivers so I instinctively take my coat off and wrap it round her arms, despite the drama she causes.

"I'm not cold, Sin. This isn't a movie, Sin." And god knows what else she argued, but even if I was a fuckboy in my past I've always been a gentleman and wouldn't let a woman be cold, that's how my social worker raised me.

Lina walks to the edge of the cliff and I feel my heart pounding, what is she going to do?

"Are you coming, crybaby?"

I follow her eagerly, probably looking like a lost puppy.

She sits on the edge, her legs dangling over the side of the cliff, causing my heart to pound even faster than it already was.

"Are you crazy? You could fall, Lina!" I yell.

She looks up at me, as calm as the stormy sea, as happy as the fish drowning it.

"Crazy, crazy, crazy." She mutters, laughing, technically proving my point.

Curiosity gets the better of me as I gently walk forward and sit beside her, my legs now equally dangling but the fear has dissolved slightly when I see the tremendous sight in front of me.

"It's beautiful, isn't it." She whispers, looking out at the ocean with the dark sky still looming over and protecting it like it's their young.

I nod, mesmerised by the view, proud of myself for thinking of coming here. "Yeah." I whisper, sneakily snaking my arm round her waist, hoping this time it won't be a problem.

She moves my arm and I sigh in disappointment. Then, however, she climbs onto my lap and I place my hands on her back, my arms round her waist to ensure she doesn't fall. Her legs straddle my waist and I can already feel my member twitching, but that's irrelevant.

It's the warmth and pounding in my heart that's affecting me.

"Lina...." I breathe, and she nods before crashing her lips onto mine, a new hobby/habit I'm starting to love.

She's my newfound addiction, and I think this one may be even more dangerous than my last.
