I walked into the party and found a secluded area, taking a seat. I sold out pretty quick, most kids buying weed some harder drugs. I walked into the kitchen grabbing the only non-alcoholic drink I saw on the White Island.

"So your the one who's stealing my customers?" I hear a deep-ish voice behind me. I turn around to see ashtray towering over me. "What about it?" I ask. "Nothing you just don't look like the type of girl to sell drugs, let alone hurt a fly." He says shrugging.

"I may not look like it, but I'll put a gun to your fucking head and shoot." I say looking him in the eyes. "I dare you."  He says and I laugh, walking away. As I sit on the couch I notice ashtray had followed me all the way here.

"Leave me alone ashtray." I say and he looks a bit shocked that I know his name. "What's your name ma?" He says using the nickname as if we'd known each other long. "Why?" I ask as I drink from a red solo cup. "You know my name, I know yours." He says shrugging.

"Amari." I say and he nods. "See ya I guess," he says in a rude tone and I roll my eyes. "Hopefully not." I mumble even though I know we'd see each other sooner or later, considering we were neighbors.

Soon I got home to find ray sleeping on the couch. I tossed my shoes down and ran upstairs. I looked on my phone as I wiped of the little makeup I wore. I got a text from rue asking if I'd like to hang with her and her sister Gia tomorrow.

I texted back yes before drawing my curtains and sliding my dress off. I hopped in bed drifting into sleep.

I got woken up by yelling coming from downstairs. It was ray. But there was another voice. I quickly grabbed the gun I kept on my bedside table and slowly made my way downstairs.

As I inched closer to the edge of the stairs I saw ray arguing with a man who was covered in tattoos. In all honesty despite the seriousness of the situation he was ugly as fuck.

"Woah! What's with the little lady and the gun." The man asks, his raspy voice echoing through the house. "The fuck are y'all arguing for?" I ask nervously, not acknowledging the man's presence. "Nothing, go back upstairs." Ray says and I shake my head. "No, who is he and why the fuck are y'all arguing." I ask more forcefully and the man steps forward.

"I'm mouse. Pleasure to meet you." He says with a disgusting smile plastered on his face. "Like fucking Mickey Mouse clubhouse and shit?" I ask holding back a laugh. He shakes his head. "Nah ain't nothing like that." He says partially offended. "Who?" I ask him. "Me, I'm mouse." He says. "Asked." I say laughing and ray shoos me away.

Soon after I hear Mickey Mouse leave, ray calls me down. "Amari, he's one of those people you can't make those dumb ass jokes of yours with. Aight?" He asks and I nod my head, even though I'd probably do it again.

"Hey rue." I say as I approach her and her sister on the swings. "Sup." She says and points to her sister. "This is Gia. Well Giana but..." rue says. I guess that was just how she introduced everyone. I soon learned Gia was 13 and we had a pretty decent conversation.

"I'm hungry as shit." Rue says and I nod in agreement. "Ight let's go to fez's shop." She says. "Please no." I beg and she sends me a look. "I've know that ashtray kid for a week and he literally hates my guts." I say and rue laughs.

"I'm for real rue." I say and she rolls her eyes. "Fine." She says and I clap with joy. "We can go back to my house." I suggest and she nods, grabbing Gia's arm.

"Ray! I have people over so don't do dumb shit please!" I yell through the house and get an "alright." From ray. "What do y'all wanna eat?" I ask and they say anything is fine. "I'll order some pizza then." I say and we all go up to my room.

As I go to close the blinds I see ashtray. I look at him for a second and instead of him waving or simply just shutting his blinds he flips me off. I quickly do the same before shutting my blinds. "Is that an everyday thing?" Gia asks taking a seat at my desk.

"Hopefully not." I say and we go on talking, mostly rue spilling the deets about different people in east highland. "That uh Nate kid sounds.." I say not knowing how to explain it. "Yea." Rue says and we laugh.

Soon we hear the door bell ring so I run downstairs with about 25 dollars. I then pay for the pizza and yell for Gia and rue. "Everyone forget about me I guess." Ray sasses as he walks into the kitchen. "We we're hoping to finish it before you showed up anyway." I roll my eyes and he smacks the back of my head.

"I'll see y'all soon." I say waving as rue and Gia leave. "Aye Mari I need you to meet some people tomorrow." Ray says as I walk into the living room. "For?.." I ask. "Business, new partners." He says and I scoff. "Your joking right. We've always worked alone." I say and he waves me off. "Bitch." I mumble. "I'll take away your phone!" He yells shouting an empty threat.
