- 2 weeks later

Rue had been getting bad. Whoever it was, wherever it was. She just didn't look or act like herself. Whenever me and (satan) ashtray would be in the back room together when rue showed up, we wouldn't sell her drugs.

Until last night we caved in.

I was woken up by sirens outside of my windows. I quickly scrammed to my feet, thinking the house was on fire or some shit and ran downstairs. I slid my shoes on and opened the door only to see an ambulance outside of rues house. It didn't look like their mom was home. Shit.

I quickly made my way there only to find Gia sobbing and rue being put into the ambulance. "Hey, hey Gia are you ok?" I ask rubbing her tears with my thumbs. "I don't know if she'll be ok." Gia manages to blurt out.

I quickly wipe the stray tears from my face as I walk Gia to my house. She had no shoes on and it scorching hot outside. A few minuets passed and Gia had not once looked away from the wall. "Giana, do you want something to eat, drink?" I ask and she nods.

I'm not sure what a 13 year old in distress would wanna eat so I made her the first thing that came into mind. Mac and cheese. As she was eating I hear a knock at the door and I open it to find Mrs.Bennett .

I then lead her to where Gia is and they talk for a while before she asks me if I could watch her. "Of course she can stay the night. Make sure rues alright." I say and Gia hugs her mom goodbye.

A few hours passed and we had been watching tv in complete silence. Ray wasn't home so he had shit clues about what was going on. "Hey Gia. Wanna make cookies and if there bad we take em to ashtray?" I ask trying to lighten the mood and I see Gia let out a small smirk. "Sure." She says.

"Oh shit- oops. Sorry." I say playfully covering her ears. "They're a bit.." I begin to say. "Burnt." She finishes for me. "Alright grab a pair of my shoes and let's go deliver these to satan." I say and she walks to the front door.

After we ring the bell we stand there for a split second before ashtray opens the door. "The fuck you want Amari." He says not noticing Gia. "Dude, there's someone else right here." I say sarcastically and he looks of at Gia, nodding his head as a greeting.

"We made cookies for you ashy poo." I say in an annoying voice. "Thanks Gia." He says snatching the cookies from me. "That is why you can't always be nice." I whisper to Gia before flipping ash off and grabbing her hand, walking back to my house.

"Uh we can paint them white, pink or actually any color you wan-" I begin to say but get cut off by ashtray blasting "bitch, don't kill my vibe" . I quickly grab my phone and scroll through my contacts before clicking "satan🤢" and the FaceTime button. After a couple of rings he picks up.

I couldn't really see his face given he had his phone propped up on his tv showing him sitting on his bed shirtless playing his gaming console. "What?" He asks. "Turn that shit down please." I say trying to be nice. "Cant have nothing nice." I hear him mumble before I hang up.

"Alright anyway what color?" I ask Gia and she picks up a pretty sage nail polish.

"Is she gonna be alr?" Gia ask from the other side of the bed. "Gia honestly, only if she wants to be." I admit as I hear Ray quietly open the front door, locking it behind him. "Well what if she doesn't." Gia asks but says it more like she stating something. "It's all in her hands Gia." I say as I rub circles onto her back which was something I found soothing.

Soon I could hear her soft snores so I turned the other way, grabbing my phone. I turned my brightness all the way down before scrolling on tiktok. Randomly I got a message from ashtray. I clicked it and rolled my eyes.

By the end of it he had me wanting to shout. I quickly picked up the audio call and whisper shouted at him. "Your a fucking cheater." I say as he laughs a bit to loud. "Your laugh is cute and all but shut up." I say and he instantly stops laughing. "Gia's asleep. I'm not just being rude.

"Anyway I wasn't cheating you just suck." He says and I gasp quietly. "I don't suck!" I exclaim. "Yea you do just like you do at everything else. Don't get mad at the truth." I hear his tired voice say. "Bro fuck you." I say rolling my eyes. "When?" He asks and I fake gag. "Yea bye." I say and quickly hang up.

A/N: y'all they def aren't even in the flirting/ talking stage yet btw that's gonna be farrrrr from now.

Also I have this idea with Ray which y'all are definitely not gonna like.... But I mean it would add more to the story ig.
