Movie night

Jessica's POV:

I honestly don't think I've been as happy as I am in this very moment in a very long time. 

Surfing the waves with my friends I don't know their opinion on me but I hope they see me as a friend too not just someone they wanted to tag along.

After about an hour or so of surfing and sitting on our surfboards In the water talking to each other we all swam back to shore. 

We started walking on the sand up to the van "I did say you wouldn't be able to surf that wave JJ" John B laughed at the blond.

"Oh shut up John B" JJ says back brushing back the wet hair that drooped over his eyes with his fingers.

JJ had attempted to surf a large wave but failed and his friends wouldn't let it go moments before the incident happened JJ claimed he's 'the best surfer in Outer Banks'.

"That wave did look pretty impossible" I back JJ up my comment gained everyone's attention since I hadn't talked much since we were in the van before.

 "See Jess agrees with me" JJ states we reach the van Pope slides open the door to the back.

 "Ladies first" Pope bows to me and Kiara.

"Why thank you kind sir" Kiara says laughing slightly getting in the van me following after along with Pope shorty after. 

He slides the door shut JJ and John B get into the front John B driving. I pick up my jacket and use it as a towel to wipe the sand off the bottom of me feet hen slipping on my sandals.

"Did you guys hear about the kegger? I heard some other Pogue's talking about it" Kiara asks the group John B begins to drive to my house for the movie night I had promised earlier today.

"Nah when is it?" John B asks the curly headed girl sat beside me "tomorrow I think" Kiara answers I pick up my phone to check the time 4:15pm when we began surfing it was 2pm I expected to be like 3:30pm at most time fly's I guess.

"I hate to always be asking questions but what's a Pogue?" I ask whilst fiddling with the vape In my hand.

"We'll explain at the kegger tomorrow, the real question is what movie are we watching?" JJ asks trying to hide the excitement in his voice which makes me smile "whatever you guys want" I answer looking at him through the rear view mirror.

After many arguments between the group they come to the decision to watch the new version of Jumanji. (You can pick a different one if you want it was just the first one that came to mind)

We reach the gate and I get out put the code in and John B parks the Twinkie behind my Jeep. 

John B  gets out JJ doing the same I grab all my belongings and Kiara opens the door then Jumps out me and Pope following.

We all walk up to my large house onto the porch I look under the plant pot that Lucy had told me is where she left me a key.

 I pick up the golden colored key and unlock the door I walk in putting the key onto the small table Lucy had placed near the door.

I take off my sandals leaning my surfboard against the wall the rest of the group walk in doing the same as me our shoes piled up in the corner and our boards the same against the wall.

"this is awesome" JJ compliments the house as I walk into the kitchen to grab some snacks for the movie. "Thanks" I smile to the boy as he and the rest follow me to the cupboard we have the chocolate and candy stored I open the draw earing some gasps from the boys.

"Oh candy how I've missed you" Pope says grabbing a bag of candy JJ doing the same. John B garbs a bag of popcorn and Kiara grabs a couple chocolate bars.

The all look at me then the food they held in their hand "I'm sorry can we have this?" John B asks making me giggle "yeah of course help yourself I did open the draw for a reason" I grab a bag of popcorn for myself.

I open the fridge and hand everyone 2 beers each "here" I says as they take them from my hand.

"I could get used to this" JJ says "get used to what?" I ask the him as we all make our way up stairs to my room.

"Free food a free movie" he answers as we enter my room I switch on the light and throw my popcorn onto my bed gently placing my beers on with it.

I climb the small ladder and unlock the hatch that led up to my little movie room. I walk up into the room and flick on the fairy lights the group following me up.

"This is so cool Jess" John B tells me taking his seat on one of the many pillows I have up here "Thanks John B"I smile as I walk back down the steps and grab my beer and popcorn turning off my bedroom light as well.

I come back up to the group looking comfortable ready for me to start the movie "so how exactly dose that work?" Kiara asks pointing to the small projector I have I walk over to it picking the small device up and sitting beside the girl.

"I put the movie on, on my phone then put it in this slot here and projects it onto the sheet over there" I explain pointing to the places I talked about.

I play the movie on my phone then put it in the projector lining it up with the white sheet me and Sarah at put up, well that Lucy put up.

I put my phone of full volume the projector amplifies the volume too which is also good I take the spare seat next to JJ we lean against the wall behind us.

We all open up our food and beers so we don't annoy each other in the middle of the film.

I take a quick look at me knee whilst everyone is focused on the playing movie. The concealer I had put on it had come off my purple bruise very present my eye growing wider at the realization I came to.

Everyone either noticed and didn't say anything just hadn't been looking I stand up and begin to walk down the short stair case "hey Jess where you going?" John B asks me "toilet" I answer.

Walking to the bathroom in my room shut the door and open my makeup bag and get out my concealer "of course it's empty" I huff I go out of the bathroom and to the draw I put my pajamas in.

I grab a pair of fluffy pajama bottoms I take a quick look to the open hatch to my movie room hearing laughter before slipping off my bikini bottoms and quickly putting on my pajama bottoms.

JJ's POV:

I go down the short stair case that led up to the movie room to go to the toilet as I have already drank one of my beers. I could not have walked down at a worse time she literally just took off her bikini bottoms and put on pajama ones. If she sees me she'll think I'm the biggest perv ever.

I accidently lose my balance falling onto her bed she jumps and turns around "shit JJ you scared me" She tells me whilst putting on an oversized shirt "sorry I just needed the toilet" I apologize walking to what I assume to be her bathroom I shut the door behind me I furrow my eyebrows at the makeup dotted over the counter of her sink.

But that's not what shocks me most I look beside the makeup bag to find a shard of glass that has dry blood on I feel weird snooping but my mind can't stop going back to the fact that she was checking her leg when where at The Wreak.

Is she hiding something? Possibly like what I try hide from my friends?
