Fishing

Kiaras POV:

Pope stops the boat at our usual fishing spot and grabbed the fishing net and a rod for him and JJ as John B prefers to use the net.

I usually sit back and make conversation with them and ask if I can help but they like doing by themselves now at least I have someone to talk to.

I really do hope she isn't like majority of the kooks all stuck up and awful but so far she seems nice and sweet.

The boys took their seats at the front of the boat and started their fishing I take the seat where JJ had been sitting.

"So you liking it here?" I ask the green eyed girl sat on my right she turns around on the seat crossing her legs then turning her head to blow the smoke out of her mouth.

As she dose I smell the sweet smell of watermelon overpowers my senses she smiles to me placing the vape to the side of her.

"Yeah it's nice I don't know what I would have done the pass few days without you guys" She answers putting the lose stands of hair that fell out of her messy bun behind her ear.

"Thanks for the compliment" I hear the voice I recognize as John B say as he pulls up the fishing net letting all the fish he had caught fall to the floor of the boat by both mine and Jessica's feet we cringe at the sight.

"Ugh John B seriously" I say missing the smell of the watermelon Jessica had blown from her vape.

"Sorry you majesty" John B jokes him earning a chuckle from the two other boys sat with their legs dangling off the side.

He sits down on the opposite side of Jess "but seriously I'm glad you like hanging round with us, I'm pretty sure Kie was getting tired of us" he whispers the last part to Jess but loud enough for me to hear.

"I doubt she is you guys are really nice and at least now Kiara has another girl to talk to" Jessica says smiling to me moving on the seat to sit like me and John B.

"You can call me Kie you know" I tell her she must have been wondering why the boys call me that.

"Oh thanks I just didn't know if it was something just the boys call you" she admits bringing the vape to her lips and blowing the smoke forward letting sent fill the air around us.

"Well everyone calls me Kie well my parents call me Kiara but that's it" I tell her.

"I got one!" Pope yells as he reels the fish he has caught in we all walk over in excitement me and John B stand behind him John B puts and hand on Popes shoulder as he reels in the fish.

Jess sits next to him in between himself and JJ.

The fish Pope caught come to the surface still moving about as he puts it on the boat just behind us and un hooks the hook inside the fishes mouth. (I know absolutely nothing about fishing) "You caught a big one Pope" John B says shaking Popes shoulder putting the fish into the bucket of Ice John B brought onto the boat along with the small fish he had caught himself.

I turn around and see Jess leaning her head on JJs' shoulder I smile at the sight. JJ reels his fishing line inputting it next to him he gets up from his seat holding his hand out helping Jess up John B playfully whistles to the two.

JJ looks at John B confused then looks down to his and Jessica's locked finger's he smiles then removes his hand from her hold.

It might just be my eyesight but I swear Jessica's checks turned red either from embarrassment or she was blushing. The face she made when she realized she was is priceless. To hide it she brings her vape to her lips doing what we've seen her do many times.

*TIME SKIP AT THE CHATEAU*

Jessica's POV:

We reach John Bs' Chateau -as the group call it- we all get out of the boat Pope holding his hand out to help me.

  "thanks" I say smiling to him as helps Kie out as well. "No problem" he says. John B grabs the cooler filled with ice and fish.

When we where fishing JJ was annoyed that he didn't catch one, so I sat with him for a bit but I think they all took it the wrong way. I follow Kie into the Chateau to the porch I sit on the small sofa and Kie sat on the chair opposite.

Soon enough the boys came in to join us John B takes a seat on the other side of the porch Pope sits next to him and JJ sits on the chair next to Kie. "So where is this kegger?" I ask braking the short silence we all sat in "the boneyard" Pope answers.

Boneyard?

"it's just apart of the beach" Kie fills my clear curiosity "fun so who goes to this stuff?" I ask the group "everyone and some tourists" Pope tells me I nod to him so he knows I'm listing.

My phone starts to vibrate from my back pocket I bring it up and see 'Sarah Cameron' come up on my phone I stand up and before bringing the phone to my ear I excuse myself and walk inside.

I answer the call "hey Sarah" I say with a cheery tone.

"Hey Jess you going to the kegger tonight?" She asks I can practically hear her smile through the phone due to the tone in her voice.

"oh yeah I'll be there" I answer making my way to the kitchen just walking around. "Alright I'll see you there me Topper, Rafe and some of his friends are coming too I think" she tells me I can hear her going through her closet to find something to wear.

"Rafe?" I ask as I've not heard of a 'Rafe'

"Oh yeah he is my brother" She answers "I'll see you there then" she says joyfully we say goodbye and I put my phone back into my pocket and go back to my friends on the porch.

I go back to sit in my seat on the sofa by JJ took it upon himself to lay on it. He looks up to meet my eyes "move your feet, lose your seat" he tells me "who came up with that?" I ask taking the seat he was originally sat in.

"I don't know but if you meet them make sure to tell them JJ says hi" he tells me making all of us laugh.

"I'll make sure to remember" I tell him smiling.

"Who was it?" John B asks referring to the person that called me.

"Oh it was Sarah" I answer earing a glance from Kie whose eyebrows raised at the mention of the blonde girl.

"How come she called you?" She asks me

"Oh she just wanted to know if I'm going to the kegger" I say her face relaxes as she nods.

"Anyway how about we go to The Wreak?" Pope says talking about Kie family restaurant.

"Don't you mean 'Kie can we have some food for free?'"Kie rephrases what Pope had said.

"I can pay I don't mind" I say standing up opening the porch door for everyone to go get in the van.

"I'm in" JJ says walking pass me into the back of the van I sit behind the passenger seat Pope following in after me.

Kie gets in the drivers seat John B jumps into the passenger seat of his van and I shut the back door and she starts driving to the restaurant.
