Few months later, Peets was working on decrypting the roots server and Emma was helping in whatever way she could. "I did it" Peets shouted as he stood up. "Amara, can you come to the ICT wing?" he spoke through the floor's intercoms. "What is it?" Amara asked. "Just come over, it's urgent" he said. "Hey, Peets" Emma was calling Peets attention to computer screen. "What's that?, looks like a recorded message" Peets stated. Amara arrived shortly after. "What?" Amara asked. "Before I tell you, I've been meaning to ask, you said your record is tainted by a kill in the field. I'll like to know the details. Also Maxim is in charge of combat training and debriefing, so why is she behind a desk?" Peets asked. Amara took a deep breath, "A couple years ago, when I was a field agent. I was to run surveillance on a woman and her 8 year old child who's husband was the head of a notorious group of hitmen. I was to keep an eye on them while other agents attempted to bring down her husband. One day, her daughter fell down while playing and injured herself. I happened to be there at the time so I fixed her up and sent her home, the little girl felt attached to me ever since. About two weeks after, her mother invited me to come have dinner with them, the night was going smooth until she got a phone call. She then excused herself, I went in search of the bathroom when I overheard her conversation. Turns out her husband was not the head of the hitmen, she was. She used her husband to hide her identity and was using her little girl to make sure he cooperated . As she hung up she saw me. Unwilling to take any chances she dashed in to where her daughter was and I followed her. I entered the room and she had a gun to her daughter's head. I had no choice" she paused for a moment, "you let her kill her child?" Peets asked. "No, I popped a bullet in her head in front of her daughter. After the group were taken down the girl and her father were taken to a shelter to lay low for a few years, the father died five years after that. The girl was taken to an adoption center but she ran away weeks after."

"Two years later, I was already at my current position, director of Globapol when i was told I had a visitor. That little girl was not little anymore. With no where to go, I  placed her under the care of your mom, who was the then Director of Global Investigations and Intelligence Unit.  They had some wild adventures together for a while before Anne got pregnant with you twins. Her and Don decided to retire to raise you. She was to take your mom's place as head of SIFA but she retired also to become my assistant. Mr Karps at that time was doing terrible things to surveillance teams we sent to keep an eye on him. That was when your parents decided to still work during retirement. They were not afraid because their duo was the most formidable against Zakar since GLOBAPOL's inception. So they decided to raise you kids in Ukwa" Amara Landed. "What happened next?" Peets asked. "That's on a need to know basis" Amara answered. "But you started telling me about it" he countered. "That's because you needed to know, so why am I here?" Amara asked. Before he could answer, Maxim, Dack and few other operatives arrived "I asked for only you, ma'am" Peets stated. "Yeah, I know. So..." She said. "I'm in" he said "I'm in the Roots Server."

"So anything?" She asked. "Well, I can just open the last upload" he said. "Do it" Amara consented. "This looks like a time bomber" Peets said as he saw the content of the upload. "Explain" Dack demanded. "Well basically, there is a piece of information in it and I'll have to figure out what that information is and cross reference it with what's on here to see if I'm correct. It only allows for one try and has a time limit if 150 seconds" Peets explained. "Any question I ask should be answered promptly. Here we go" he said as he opened the file. "Location of the lost bunker" Peets read out. "That the name we gave to Zakar's layer" Dack said quickly. "What do we know about it" Peets asked. "Next to nothing" Amara answered. "He didn't even give a clue" Peets said frustrated. "He did" Emma said pointing at the screen. "The parameters we need are latitude, longitude and altitude" Emma pointed out. "Meaning its above sea level" Peets said. "Or below" Amara pointed out. "Very unlikely" Maxim stated. "We have looked everywhere in the skies, nothing" Amara stated. "Restricted Airspaces?" Peets asked. "There are no restricted air spaces for GLOBAPOL" Dack said. "Maybe it's always on the move" Emma suggested. "Satellite imaging?" Peets asked. "Never picked up on one" Amara said. "And we're back to square one" Emma pointed out. "Let's circle back, maybe you were right about it being below sea level" Peets said to Amara. "Impossible, we've been looking down there for almost a century." Maxim stated. "We're running out of time" Emma pointed out. "Are you sure you've searched every airspace?" Peets asked Amara, "Yes, every last one" Amara answered. "There is one though" Emma stated. "Where?" Dack asked. "Immediately Peets and Emma pointed upward. "GLOBAPOL handbook page 736" Peets said. "What's on that page?" Amara asked. "Dack? You wrote the thing" Peets said disappointed. "Above us, the airspace above this island" Peets said. "Yes, that true even I am not allowed to cross it" Amara recalled. "You don't think?" Maxim said looking at Peets. "What are the coordinates of this island?" Peets asked and was told. "What about the altitude?" Maxim asked. "It was only a clue" Emma answered. Peets proceeded to input the coordinates and it was a match. "With 7 seconds to spare" Amara said impressed.

"They figured out the most nerve racking mystery in GLOBAPOL's history in two minutes" one operative who was in the room said. "If its above this island, how come we've never picked up a satellite image" Maxim asked puzzled. "The same way non-GLOBAPOL satellite cannot pick up this island." Emma stated. "Our satellites have anti camouflage vision" Amara stated. "Its possible that its a cloaking device" Peets stated. "They probably have Sound amplifiers up there, maybe even motion sensors, perfectly explains why he's always one step ahead" Peets added. "Something just popped up on your screen, boy" Amara notified Peets. "Its an upload from four months ago" Peets stated. "That's impossible, Don is the only one capable of uploading on this server and I'm very sure he's been dead for more that four months now" Amara said denying Peets claims. "Well, it contains the source code for some bizarre software." Peets stated as he began to analyze the software. "Wow, this software has hundreds of subsystems integrated into it" he said as he kept examining it. "Anything yet?" Amara asked impatient after Peets went silent about 15 minutes before. "Actually, yes" Peets said breaking his silence. "This is bad news, who ever has this program can simultaneously hack into anything hackable on the planet, cellphones, cars, planes, firewalls, the list just keeps going" he said. "Government agencies and assets, banks, hospitals, virtually everything and anything connected to the internet." He added. "Whoever sent this is obviously trying to warn us" Maxim stated. "I agree, this program is not yet complete. To complete it would take around 4-5 months" Peets stated. "We're also somehow safe" he added. "Why?" Amara asked. "To run a software like this, one needs at least a 17th generation processor and none are in existence for another  4-5 years" as he said this he noticed Emma make a face. "Please don't tell me there's something about this in my dad's notes" he pleaded. "There should be" Amara answered before Emma could. "Your father was working on an 18th generation processor and I think he was able to build it."
