"We have a problem" Maxim reported immediately Peets and Amara got off the elevator. "A break in was just reported at our base in Greenland, they took a couple EMP emitters." "So attacking the submit was a decoy" Peets point out. Few minutes later Emma and her team returned. "That was odd, they withdrew before we even got there" Emma stated puzzled. "It was a decoy, Till led his team to steal old EMP emitters from one of our bases" Amara explained. "Till?" Peets asked shocked, "yes" Amara answered. "Till Matsumoto?" He asked. "He was reported missing a few years back" Peets said. "Zakar took him and has been doing his bidding ever since" Maxim told Peets. "Hold up, let's back up a little bit" Emma said. "You said he took EMP emitters?" She asked. "Yeah" Amara answered. Emma then turned to one of the computer operatives in the room, "After the attacks three months ago, were inventories taken to identity what was destroyed in the attacks?" Emma asked. "Yes, they were taken, why?" The operative asked. "Show on the screen what were not accounted for" Emma demanded. "What's this all about?" Amara asked Emma. "O my God!, I was right" Emma exclaimed. "He's building an Iono-Fusion EMP Generator" Emma stated.

"How do you know about that?" Amara asked. "It was in Mr Antonio's notes" Emma answered. "How did you get his notes." Peets asked. "It was in his workshop, the idea for pendant was from his notes and in there he mentioned the iono-fusion EMP generator" Emma explained. "OK... But even Don who's notes you're using never finished it. He said it couldn't get passed the theoretical phase" Amara said. "That's not what his noted say. All he left out was how to build one." Emma stated. "So all that are missing from these five attack sites are components for making it?" Amara asked. "To the letter ma'am, he has enough components to make about a dozen of them" Emma stated. "Just twelve?" Peets asked. "Yes, just twelve. One of those generators can create an EMP strong enough to affect everything electronic or electrical in an approximate 4500 km radius" Emma explained. "So one of these generators can take out the whole of Russia's grid completely." Peets stated becoming conscious of how bad the situation is. "Place about a dozen of these things around the world in strategic places and one can take out the whole world's grid at a go." Emma concluded. "This is bad!" Peets stated.

"There shouldn't be a problem then" Maxim suggested. "How so?" Amara asked. "Well if only Don can make this EMP generator then we have nothing to worry about" she said. "I sincerely doubt that" Peets stated. "Zakar went through a lot of trouble to get all the components, made sure we were not aware of his movements. I think its premature to say we have nothing to worry about, he must have a way to build it" he said. "Unless he has Mr Antonio, I doubt there is a mind on earth that can build it" Emma stated. "Something's not right, I can feel it" Emma added. "First, we need to be able to counter when he's done so Emma, Peets I need both of you to start working on EMP blockers and jammers." Amara ordered.

Later that day when all activities had slowed down and everyone seemed to have caught their breaths, Dack was just returning from being in the field for the past month. "I have a lot of questions about Dack, something about him just doesn't sit right with me" Peets said to Emma as Dack walked towards Amara's office. "Oh yes, Amara didn't get to Dack before we were interrupted" Emma said. "Dack is actually Zakar's oldest known son, he claims to not remember much about his early life. Zakar wanted to rule the world side by side with Dack but Dack wasn't convinced his father was on the right path so one day he found an opening and fled. He also says that his mind was being controlled by Zakar and once the mind control faded he began to think and act independently. He located the Duchess and Helsing families earlier on and was associated with them ever since. He was also the one who came up with the idea for GLOBAPOL. In a way, he's like the founder. There are no other children of Zakar that are like him." Emma narrated. "That's a little to much to drop on someone at a go. I do have a question though; if he's so important, why is he a deputy director?" He asked. "Just to reduce his work, I guess. If Amara can be called the President of the world then Dack would be it's Minister of Defence. He is the Grand commander of global armed forces second only to the head of GLOBAPOL. So he's always kinda busy" Emma explained.

Few minutes later Amara came out of her office along with Dack, "Maxim!, I'm out of red wine" she screamed. "That's the fourth pack in two weeks ma'am, and you don't have to scream I'm right beside you" Maxim said from her desk which is at the entrance to Amara's office. "I told you before ma'am, you're addicted" Emma said from where she was standing. "Seconded" Dack, Maxim and a few other operatives unanimously echoed. "Oh you all should not start this nonsense again, get me my wine Maxim" Amara said in anger. "I will, I just need my leave" Maxim requested. "You can't go on leave right now with all that's going on" Amara pointed out. "I can't feed your addiction with everything going on also, what if your heart gives out?" Maxim said sarcastically with a fake sense of concern. "She's right you know, we can't have anything bad happen to you" Emma joined in on the sarcastic display of concern. "We can't have you gulping alcohol with GLOBAPOL on high alert" Dack joined in also. "My red wines are not alcoholic" she said in frustration. "Fine, you know what, forget it. I'll get it myself" she said as she went back in her office and slammed the door.

Immediately she was inside everyone started laughing hard, Peets just stood there confused. "You know she can cut your pays for what you guys just did, right?" Dack asked Emma and Maxim. "Yeah, let her go ahead. It was worth it" Emma replied. "Wait, you guys get paid?" Peets asked. "Yeah, obviously." Maxim answered. "You think I go out and risk my life for the thrills and a pat on the back?" Emma asked rhetorically. "Why haven't I been getting paid? Peets asked. "Probably because you are not officially an employee here" Maxim said. "Yeah, you haven't gone down to admin to get you registered into the system and get issued your swipe card" Emma added. "Where is this admin at?" He asked. "At the other side of the island" Emma said. "How do I get there?" He asked. "You trek down there" Maxim answered. "You need a swipe card to get around around here, even the elevators won't work" Emma told him. "You have a swipe card, can't we go together?" He asked Emma, "I'm busy, need to start working on those EMP blockers" she said as she ran away. Peets then turned to the others but they had all disappeared. "Great, here I come two hundred and eighteen flights of stairs" peets said as he let out a big sigh.

After he had gone Amara who was listening in on their conversation came out of her office. "You guys are really heartless" she said as everyone gathered back into the room. "What? Its top floor tradition. They did it to me when I first got here" Emma said protectively. "It's literally impossible to get to the five top floors of this building with pure hardwork, so this exercise is just to justify him being here. Relax, if he's half as smart as I know he is then he's going to figure something out" Dack said. "I hope so" Amara said worried.
