"so , all set ?"

"yeah , mom". jungkook answered and brought his suitcases. "where's jenny?"

his mom chuckled. "may be crying her eyeballs out in her room? go , check on your sister". she said while pushing jungkook lightly.

jungkook nodded and went to jenny's room. opening the door , he saw jenny suddenly wiping her tears secretly and turned towards him.

"yah , were you crying ?!". jungkook asked teasingly.

"aiishh I'm not !!! why would I cry ?"

jungkook chuckled on seeing jenny sniffing while trying not to be obvious that she cried. he went near and pulled his sister into a tight hug.

"jennie noona~"

"aah why are you calling me noona , now?~~ don't make me cry , brat"

"you are already crying. don't blow your nose on my shirt ! ". jungkook joked to make the scene less sad.

jenny hit jungkook's shoulder and hugged him tighter.

"yah.. you really need to go?"

"why are you asking this now?.. you already know that I should move to Seoul , jennie. you also said you were happy for me"

"y/n and you will be having a lot of fun. I am here all alone !! bad jerks , hmph! you are leaving me alone .. we never seperated in these 12 years. I too should have placed top in that photography contest , aaarrghhh!! "

jenny whined and stomped her feets on the floor. jungkook held his sister's hand and smiled to her.

"jennie~"

"what?". she replied in an irritated yet sad tone.

"you don't like photography , do you?". jungkook continued as jenny shook her head answering a 'no'.

"the school we got selected trains students in the field of photography mainly. we get enrolled in university in the same field. you don't want to do that. are you ready to give up on your modelling dreams just to come with us?"

"no.. "

"then why are you throwing a fist now?". jungkook asked calmly to jennie who is now pouting her lips.

"I am already missing you and y/n. I can't stay like this. I don't know how I could do everything I used to do with you two. going to school , eating lunch at the cafeteria , playing jenga , watching movies , fooling around in house.. there are a lot of things we used to do together. a-and now-

"jennn~~ !!" The door clicked open and a cheerful y/n entered the room. she looked at jungkook , then over to jenny and sensed the atmosphere.

"noona.." Jungkook gave a small smile to y/n and pointed to jenny.

"jenn~~ what happened?" Y/n walked towards them and held jenny's hands. "hey .. why are you crying?"

"you don't know?" Jennie gently hit y/n's arms as an act of complaining.

even she acted carefree and tough outside , jennie was a softie who gets sad over little things. being her bestfriend for 12 years , y/n knew it better than anyone.

"alright" Y/n pulled jungkook with her and sat on the bed. "we aren't going"

jungkook's eyes widened as he looked at y/n. he was about to protest but stopped when y/n patted his back with a smile of assurance.

jenny shot her head up to look at y/n.

"what did you say?"

"if you really don't want us to go.. then.. we aren't leaving , jenn~"

( mimi's brain : yah! are you shooting a morning drama or what? where did this cringey scenes came from?!
mimi : aiishh let it be ! I'm having extra-dramatic syndrome today. it's none of your business , so don't interfere !

after a pretty two minutes of silence , jenny turned to them and smiled.

" go "

"hm?" Y/n raised an eyebrow as she asked jenny to be more clear.

"go to Seoul" Jenny took a deep breath and looked at the two. "it's your opportunity to make your dreams true.. the way to your future. I was just.. um.. just sad and you know.. no matter how close people are , sometimes they have to part their ways somewhere .. AAAH WHAT AM I SAYING ?!!! "

jenny grabbed her hair in frustration and jungkook giggled.

"I am really bad with words !!! "

"I know it , jenn~~" Y/n smiled and side hugged jenny.

"me too ! " Jungkook said while tapping jenny's shoulder

"so what I want to say is.. I am happy for you and you two are leaving now. definitely I will feel lonely , but I am gonna be alright. so don't worry. I will also study hard and make my dreams come true !! and after I graduate .. who knows? I may be coming to Seoul to pursue my modelling dreams !! "

"this is my jenn !!! " Y/n clapped

"woahh you really sounded cool , jenny ! " Jungkook gave a thumbs up

"I know I am ! "

jenny did a hair flip and the three giggled , sharing a group hug as their farewell.

jungkook placed their luggages in the car. they were about to leave their hometown , moving to a new city. y/n's mom was also there. as y/n was getting into the car , her mom called jungkook secretly. he quickly went near y/n's mom.

"what's it , aunty?"

y/n's mom let out a sigh and smiled to jungkook , as she patted his head.

"jungkook , aunty is sending y/n away only because you are with her. even she's one year older than you , even she acts all tough outside , she's like a child. she may not show it but .. y/n can easily get hurt by little things."

jungkook nodded his head. y/n's mom took a deep breath as she continued.

"she has never been out of my sight from the day she was born. and now she's going to another city.. with you. I know you are also a little boy .. still.. "

"don't worry , aunty .. " Jungkook took her hand and held it with both of his hands

"I will protect noona. I will make sure .. that she won't get hurt. you can count on me"

jungkook smiled when y/n's mom pulled him to a warm embrace. he quickly greeted his mom and jenny , and got into the car with y/n.

the family waved at y/n and jungkook with a big smile and tint of tears in their eyes. as the car passed the neighborhood roads , y/n leaned back to the seat and looked at jungkook. he was talking with the driver about the shifting and arrangements done beforehand in Seoul.

y/n closed her eyes and inhaled deeply.

the scent of Busan.

looking through the glass window , she let her thoughts take over.

noisy neighborhood. beautiful beachside. the way to school. side dishes shared between next doors at dinner. weekend gathering with our families. bestfriend talks with jenn. mama ..

there are a lot of things I am going to miss.

it's sad .. but ..

y/n tilted her head to jungkook. he was already looking at her.

"noona? you want something?" The boy asked while blinking his doe eyes.

"no , jungoo~"

"then , are you sleepy? here , lay on my shoulder if you feel like sleeping" He scooted closer to her.

"I'm not sleepy" Y/n smiled.

"noona~ "

"hm~"

"don't think too much.. don't be sad too. I will take care of everything from now on , so noona don't need to worry about anything"

y/n gave a warm smile to jungkook as she patted his head. she nodded and turned her head to the window again , resuming her thoughts.

it may be sad , but ..

I have jungoo with me.

and.. as long as I am with him , I can be happy.
