Meet Demi at the top!! She's pretty adorable and awesome! Also, a video of what I picture Dark's Light to be.

"I'm not going," I stated, while looking in the mirror.

"Oh yes you are," Lissa grumbled while tugging at the hem of my dress.

"I'm not," I said. "You can't make me either." I crossed my arms and met her angry gaze.

"Are you serious?" Lissa blew her bangs out of her face.

"Yes!" I threw my hands up. "Lissa, I don't even know that I'll see him tonight at the boardwalk. Your plan is ridiculous."

Lissa raised an eyebrow and narrowed her eyes. "If you don't go tonight, I will actually kill you."

I narrowed my eyes. "Try me."

"You guys are both ridiculous," Demi said from my bathroom. "There is a concert going on tonight and it's going to be so packed. You won't see him even if he was three feet away from you."

I held a hand towards Demi. "See? Thank you Demi." Demi's head snapped up with a smirk.

"I still think we should go out, but not for him..." she trailed off and stared at my dress while furrowing her eyebrows. "I also don't think you should dress nice."

Demi looked at Lissa. "That's jumping the gun," she said.

"Thank you! Wait," I looked back at Demi. "I don't want to go to that concert. It's Dark's Light, the whole beach is going to be full of college girls." I crossed my arms again.

"Because it's Dark's Light Alice!" Demi said excitedly before placing the nail polish back under the sink. "We have to go, how many opportunities will we get to see them? Zero, zilch, that's how many."

I glanced between the two of them. Demi looked excited at the possibility of going out and seeing her favorite band. Lissa looked pissed and wouldn't make eye contact with either of us. Instead, she scrolled through her phone, her foot bouncing up and down with her legs crossed.

I sighed. "Fine."

"Umm, who said I wanted to go?" Lissa asked, annoyed.

"You aren't invited if you're going to act like a bitch," Demi pointed out and waddled to my closet, her toe separators squishing against the wood flooring.

"You're the bitch," Lissa mumbled.

"Lissa, it's not like you're never going to dress me, but c'mon I may never see him again," I reasoned.

"If I have anything to do with it, you will," she said pointedly. She stood up and walked to my closet.

I stood there, my hands on my hips. "Guys, I would like to pick my outfit out of my own clothes first."

.......................

"Ohhh my gosh," I said, my eyes wide as I stared at the beach now covered in the bikini clad college girls screaming their heads off as the opening band played. We squished through the crowd trying to get as close to the front as possible.

"This is so awesome!" Demi yelled over the roar of the crowd. Lissa glanced nervously around the crowd. Lissa hated crowded places with a passion. She would do nearly anything to avoid them.

"Demi!" I called over to her and leaned around Lissa, avoiding a girl sloshing her beer around in a red solo cup. Demi glanced around Lissa's blonde hair to look at me.

"I don't think we can get any closer!" I said and Demi waved my thought away as if saying, please, watch me.

Boy was she right. Demi weaved her way through the crowd, holding Lissa's hand, dragging her and I behind her. We ended up maybe ten feet from the stage and Demi was screaming her head off.

"Oh my gosh I love this song!" Demi yelled and jumped up and down with the countless other girls surrounding us.

I glanced at Lissa and saw her smiling a small smile as she bobbed her head to the song. I threw my hands into the air and matched the crowd.

"So, say Geronimo, say Geronimo!" I shouted with everyone.

"Bomb's away," Lissa sang.

"I had no idea they would be opening for them!" I said to Lissa.

Lissa shrugged and started jumping along with me.

"How is everybody doing tonight?" The lead singer asked the crowd as the band played. We all screamed. "Awesome, we are so happy to be here tonight with you guys. Can everybody do me a huge favor?" He asked. The crowd yelled their response.

"Alright," He slung his guitar around toward his back and lifted his hand up. "Everybody clap with me!" He began clapping in rhythm with the beat. The crowd followed suit, we all clapped our hands with him. Smiling, I couldn't help but be so happy I came tonight.

The lead singer began singing again, the band playing louder, our clapping becoming a thunderous echo on the beach.

"Yes! Keep going everyone!" The singer shouted. The song finished and we all clapped for them.

"We are Sheppard" He spread his arms out, signaling to the band and other singers. "It is such an honor to be with you all tonight. Is everyone having a good summer so far?" The crowd yelled.

He laughed. "How many ladies are out and about tonight?" Every girl screamed. He laughed again and glanced at the female singer in the band. She walked up to her mic. "That's right, we outnumber you guys tonight, be careful." She pointed at the guy.

"She really likes to sing a song with all of the ladies in the crowd, I'm pretty sure everyone knows the song."

"And the dance!" She piped in. The guy smiled and signaled to the band to start playing.

She pointed at all of us and began singing. "I threw a wish in the well, don't ask me I'll never tell."

Excited, I screamed and began bobbing my head, singing along with her and the rest of the crowd. We all started the ridiculous dance with our arms and sang along with her.  The lead singer jumped up and down as the song ended.

"I just love how everyone knows that song," she said to the other singer.

"I just love this crowd," he said in response, the crowd erupting. "See?" he said.

"Well ladies and..." he scanned the crowd. "Man, the ladies sure love Jake and his crew don't they?"

All the girls screamed. He laughed. "Well ladies and some gents, it has been so fun playing for you all. We hope to see you again soon, but we would like to introduce the real band you all came here for." Everyone screamed.

"Oh my gosh, I love them!" Demi screamed.

"Everyone, let's give a warm welcome to the one, the only, Dark's Light!" he called and the crowd erupted once again. Slowly, Sheppard, cleaned up the stage and cleared out while people dressed in black began setting up guitars for the guys coming on next.

As the band started to walk on stage, I thought girls were going to cry. The screams were piercing. Lissa and I glanced at each other and grimaced.

I honestly thought I would never see this band in person so Demi was right. How often would this happen? On the other hand, I think there is a reason I wouldn't ever pay to come see them. I'm not walking off this beach without ringing ears and beer stained clothes.

The bass player standing in front of us had a shaved head and a tattoo covered body. He smiled at the crowd and waved. The guitar player over on the left smiled a million dollar smile as he reached out to touch some of the girl's hands. He had a man bun and a plaid shirt, ripped guy though. The drummer had an insane mohawk, colored red this time. Then the infamous lead singer, Jake. He ran out with his dark brown hair perfectly styled on top of his head and thin framed body bounding with excitement as he waved at the crowd.

"Hello Massachusetts!" He said, beaming. "My name is Jake," he pointed at the man bun guy with sunglasses on, "You all know the main man Hawkins!" Girls in the crowd screamed as the buff guy smiled and waved. He had a guitar pick in his mouth and he took it out as he played a small riff on his guitar. Girls of course screamed, including Demi.

"Can't forget about our favorite Caleb!" Jake pointed at the drummer. Caleb pointed his sticks up into the air. "A lot of you probably don't know this, but Caleb just had a baby girl with his wife. Don't let that mohawk fool you, he's a softie." In unison, the crowd responded with a long awww.

"And last, but not least," Jake pointed at the shaved head guy with tattoos. "Give a warm welcome to James!" The crowded erupted once more.

"We are Dark's Light!" The band began playing one of their old songs. Demi screamed in excitement. Her favorite song. The lights on stage blinking rapidly, the band members in the dark.

"I'm going to make you bend and break," Jake sang. The spotlight hit him.

"They sent you to me without wings," Hawkins sang as he played. A spotlight fell on him next.

The crowd immediately sang along with them. Demi smacked my shoulder and yelled over the crowd.

"We have to get closer!" She grabbed Lissa and I and started weaving closer. We ended up near center stage, only a foot away from being able to touch the security gates wrapped around the giant stage. We were now standing so close, the bass vibrated our bodies.

"He looked at me!" Demi squealed. I shook my head and laughed. That cliche line that every girl says at every concert. When in reality, on stage you can't see a thing most of the time from the lights.

"Oh man!" Jake, the lead singer said at the end of the song. "You guys are awesome! What a beautiful day right?"

"It is a beautiful day," James confirmed from the other side.

"Look at this sunset, man you guys have got it made out here," Jake said pointing to the beautiful setting sun.

"Hawkins," Jake said and ran over to put his arm around him. "You've been here with some friends for a week now. Tell us about the babes here," Jake said.

The girls in the crowd screamed at the realization.

Hawkins smiled as he rested a hand on his guitar. "Jake, man I've never seen more beautiful women in one place."

"Ugh, he is so sweet!" I heard a girl behind me say.

"I love you Hawkins!" Someone from in front of me yelled. I rolled my eyes, please.

"Ladies, watch out, he's coming for you," Jake laughed as he mock smacked Hawkins on the butt and jogged back to center stage before he sat at the piano.

I looked back at the Hawkins guy and he was readjusting some things around his mic when he finally got frustrated and ripped off his sunglasses and hooked them in his shirt.

I sucked in a breath when I saw him without the sunglasses. "Oh shit," I whispered.

"What's wrong?" Lissa asked.

The guy looked up as some girls in front of me screamed his name, only that's not his name. He smiled our way trying to make out who yelled his name. His eyes met mine and he looked taken a back. My jaw dropped.

"Adam," I said to Lissa.
