I shoved a pillow over my head as the coastal sun shone through my bedroom windows.

I groaned and felt my dog start licking the back of hand. "Dusty, no..."I grumbled into the bed.

"Honey!" My mom called from the kitchen. "Honey! The girls are here for you!" She called. My dog heard my mom's voice and he went running down the stairs.

I lifted the pillow. "Tell them to go away!" I halfheartedly joked as I heard them trample up the stairs and burst through my bedroom door.

"Excuse you," Demi said with a sassy tone as she plopped her bag onto the floor and collapsed onto my bed.

"Yeah, so rude," Lissa said as she sat in the bean bag in the corner. She poked it, some little white balls poofing out. "Dude, I can't believe you still have this thing."

I threw my covers off and sighed. "No privacy here," I murmured.

"Umm, what are we, your mother? Of course not," Demi said sarcastically and scanned her phone.

"So when were you going to tell us about the hunk you met last night?" Lisa asked, her manicured nails clicking against the table beside her. Her mouth curved into an evil smirk.

Demi gasped. "Yes! I almost forgot, how could you not mention that?" She slapped my leg.

"Because I was trying to find my clothes, no thanks to you two," I glared at them and they laughed.

"That was so gold," Demi stood up and walked into my closet. "Hey can I borrow a pair of shorts?"

I sat up and waved at her to say yes.

"How did you even hear of Adam?" I asked as I slipped my bunny slippers on that I've had since the fifth grade.

"Oooo Adam!" Lissa gushed. "Hot name, don't you think Dem?"

"Hot name!" She called from my walk in closet. "Channing hot or--hey!" A pair of jeans flew out of my closet. "Those are mine!"

I went to my bathroom to brush my teeth.

Lissa rolled her eyes. "Anyways, Channing hot or Beiber hot?"

I grimaced. "Beiber? I may listen to his music now, but I still don't think he could even compare to a Channing."

"Well that's why I asked, so spill!" she tossed a dog toy at my leg.

I rubbed cleanser on my face and thought about it. "I don't know, Adam was a league of his own. Sets the new standard I think," I said after rinsing my face off. I reach for the towel hanging and wipe my face.

"Wow! So Adam hot will be our new comparison, right on," Lissa said checking her hair in the mirror beside her.

"So are you going to see him again?" Demi asked from the closet before walking out in a crop top and a pair of my high waisted shorts. "Where are your Berks?" She pitched her hands on her hips.

"Yes, you may borrow all of my clothes Demi, thank you for asking," I said, rubbing lotion on my face.

She raised an eyebrow. "You have cute clothes, I can't help it."

"They're downstairs," I said before sliding on a pair of my shorts and a t shirt. I reached for the ball cap and placed it over my long blonde hair.

"You and that hat," Lissa shook her head.

"I love this hat," I said defensively.

"Your brother loved that hat too in high school, circa 2000," Lissa said and smirked.

I sighed. "It's sentimental and no one in the world has this hat."

She raised her hands in surrender.

"I think it looks cute," Demi said cheerfully.

"You think her brother is cute," Lissa replied.

Demi blushed. "Do not," she said quietly before leaving the room to go search for my shoes.

"She so does," Lissa confirmed and I shrugged. "Where is Jared anyways?"

"He should be coming home for a week or two at some point," I said as I slipped on a pair of vans. "He doesn't come home often after, you know."

Lisa's face fell. "Of course, I don't blame him I guess."

"Anyways, I doubt I'll see Adam again, do you know how mortifying that was? The boy saw me butt naked, I didn't even tell him my name," I said as I sat back on the bed to wait for Demi to get ready.

"You didn't tell him your name?!" Lisa sat up. "Are you nuts, why not?"

"Umm hello?" I asked obviously. "I was butt naked, Liss! So embarrassing."

"Alice, you are smoking hot, quit being so bashful," she scoffed.

"I am not like you and Demi, you guys know that," I said.

"That's probably a good thing, some women have to stay classy to even out the rest of us." She winked.

Demi came bounding up the stairs and modeled her feet in front of us, showing off my shoes.

"Let's go!" She beamed and bound back down the stairs. Lissa and I followed suit.

.................

I sat on the dock of my family's boat and licked my ice cream cone.

"What about a movie?" I asked.

Lissa and Demi both groaned. "All you do is see movies!" Lisa groaned.

"All you do is drink!" I exclaimed. "For someone who is obsessed with health, you fail to see the reality of alcohol making you fat."

"Alcohol does not make you fat," Lissa argued.

"Maybe not you," Demi said, wiping some chocolate ice cream off of her nose. "You drink straight liquor, you save the unecessary calories."

Lissa shrugged. "Gotta do what you gotta do ladies," she said.

"Whoa," Lissa stood straighter and peaked around my head. "Who is that?"

I rolled my eyes. "Can you go one day without hitting on someone?" I took a bite out of my cone, trying to get the remnants of my ice cream.

"Mmm," she thought aloud. "No, it's too much fun." She smiled at me as I shook my head.

"Well, go ahead," Demi ushered her off. "Go do your Elizabeth signature and make the boy fall for you."

"Don't mind if I do," she tossed her ice cream in the barrel and put some chap stick on before sauntering her hips away from us.

"He is super hot though, I mean we are kind of far away, but wow," Demi examined the guy. I didn't even bother to look up. The amount of cute guys that come through the docks is unheard of, you become immune.

Demi kicked her feet back and forth over the water. "Hey," I said, pointing at her feet. "Lose my shoes, and you buy me a new pair."

"I'm not going to lose your shoes--Oh my gosh you won't believe this, they're coming back this way!" Demi laughed and smacked my shoulder to look. I glanced back and saw Lissa, well, not being as flirty as normal. She was being friendly, but then she pointed back at us.

"What is she doing?" I asked.

"Must not be as cute as she thought," Demi reasoned. I laughed, nodding my head in silent agreement.

They were getting close and you could hear her voice. "It's so nice to finally meet you, I've heard a lot about you." I narrowed my eyes, who could she be talking to.

"Do we know someone she doesn't?" I asked Demi.

Demi gave the same questioning look.

"Adam, you have to hang out with us sometime!" I heard Lissa say and my heart stopped. I looked up at Demi and her mouth dropped.

"She didn't..."I said, my heart picking up its pace.

Demi half smiled while her mouth hung open. "Oh...she did."

"Hey--" I swung around and hopped up. "Lissa! Wow," they walked up to us and I grabbed her elbow. "Why did you bring him over here?" I hissed.

"Oh my gosh, he so cute!" she whispered with a grin. "You totally have dibs, so have at him."

Appalled, my mouth dropped as she spun me around to face him. I sucked in a breath. Whoa, cuter in person. Sexy, the word is sexy. Wow that hair, those smoldering blue eyes, those lips, that jawline, his muscles...

"No name," Adam said in his familiar deep, smooth voice.

I blinked, not able to find words. Lissa elbowed me in the back, smiling at him.

I cleared my throat. "Adam, wow," I bit my lip. "I did not think I'd see you again."

"Well I am staying here," he said while running a hand through his amazing blonde hair. "Plus, a beautiful girl challenged me to figure out her name. I don't back down."

A blush spread across my cheeks. Normally this happens to Lissa, definitely not me, oh my gosh I'm being so weird.

"Right," I laughed. "How's that going for you?" I asked.

I could see Demi and Lissa elbowing each other and grinning at us. Ugh, they have got to stop that.

"You tell me," he smirked. I couldn't stop staring at him, thank goodness for sunglasses. Look at his chest, you can see his pecks through his white t-shirt.

"Seems you have more work to do," I responded, trying to play it cool.

Adam smiled his million dollar smile. "It seems I do, I'll see you soon No Name." He placed his hand for a second on my arm before turning to the girls. "Ladies," he smiled and turned around.

"Wait, where are you going?" Lissa called out. Embarrassed I shot her a glare.

He turned around and walked backwards. "Family lunch, maybe I'll see you later." He said it to me.

My heart fluttered. After he was out of earshot I glanced back at Lissa and Demi where they were anxiously waiting for my reaction.

"He is so hot!" Demi squealed and jumped over to me.

"You have to look hot tonight! Yes, lets go shopping," Lissa grabbed my hand.

"Guys, I am so broke, no way," I grumbled, hating the mall.

"Pshh, this is Adam we are talking about," Lissa said. "I mean look at that ass." We all turned to stare at him walking down the beach.

"Oh...he is so cute," I said quietly. Lissa patted my shoulder and nodded.

Lissa glanced at me. "I'm so proud of you," she mocked and I rolled my eyes.

"Shut up Liss," I said and grabbed my bag.

"No seriously," Demi said, falling into step beside me. "He is honestly the hottest human being I have ever seen, trumps Channing."

My heart fluttered as I remembered his touch. "Yeah, I know he does," I said as we all headed off the dock.
