The rest of the day with Jesse was next to impossible. He forced me to clean the men's bathroom, which was horrendous and I can't believe boys can even breathe in there. While I was mopping the floor, Jesse decided to pull a small prank where a fake spider was hiding underneath the soap dish. Needless to say, I screamed, I slipped and my arm went inside the toilet while the rest of my body twisted in an unnatural manner onto the ground.

I was pissed.

I flung my arm a few times trying to get the disgusting sewer smelling toilet water off of me. Drenched, I stepped out of the bathroom to find Jesse waiting for me, camera in hand.

"Say cheese!" He snapped a pic.

"That's it!" I threw the mop at him and barely missed his head. I slipped walking out of the bathroom, my flip flops not getting a grip on the concrete floor. I passed him and grabbed my purse and keys to leave.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," he jogged over to me and stepped in front of the door. "Where do you think you're going? It's not six."

I stepped up to him, fuming. "You have been inappropriate with me all day, called me Yeti, slapped my ass more times than I count, and you made me fall into your disgusting toilet," I grit my teeth, ready to smack him. "Move," I demanded.

"You're cute when you're angry," he laughed. The anger inside of me building like never before. "Like an angry kitten." He flicked me on the end of my nose.

I shoved him aside and shoved the door open. People who were walking outside gasped and stepped away from me. I saw a little kid cover his nose and ask his mom about the smell. Pissed, I pushed through the crowd of people and began heading home.

I got home and immediately stripped my clothes off and jumped into the shower. I stood in the hot water, hoping to wash away this awful day. After I got out I had several texts from Lissa, asking if I wanted to go to the movies tonight.

Holding onto my towel, I peeked my head out of my room to listen for Mom and Jared. I didn't hear anyone in the house so I took that as a sign that I could go without worrying about them. I quickly texted her yes and hurried into my closet to find a cute outfit.

Adam is excited to see you ;)

I rolled my eyes at her text, but my heart skipped a bit. I reached for a cute maxi dress that fit really well to my body, but in a classy way. I quickly dried my hair and let it wave naturally. I stared in the mirror and decided for a natural look, my normal. I felt like the dress was a step up in itself.

When I flipped the light off in my room, I headed downstairs, nearly tripping over Dusty chasing after me. He always thought my purse was a toy.

"Give it back Dusty," I warned. He had a hold of the fringe hanging off of my purse. We played tug-o-war for a moment before he finally let go of it. I shut the door with him giving me his sad eyes. I frowned and waved at him.

When I got to the theatre, I didn't see Lissa's car anywhere. I always hated being the first anywhere. I never handled it in a smooth manner and almost always embarrassed myself.

I saw her car pull in and she parked right next to me.

I got out and walked to her door. My heart was pounding at the anticipation of seeing him.

"Are they meeting us inside?" I asked.

She gave me a once over and smirked.

"Nice dress," she winked.

"Shut up, now where is Demi and everyone else?" I crossed my arms, wishing I would have worn something more low-key. Lissa was wearing a simple romper and her hair was in a bun. It isn't often she is wearing something more casual than me.

She shrugged.

"Demi should be here any second, she was right behind me, but we all know how that goes," she shuddered. "The guys are here already."

"What?" I squeaked and my hands immediately shot to my hair, making sure the humidity hadn't gotten to it yet.

Lissa smiled. "I knew you liked him," she laughed. "Come on," she grabbed me. "You look great, just have fun!"

She dragged me to the theatre doors as Demi pulled into the parking lot, her music audible even from the outside of her car. Lissa shook her head and opened the door, ushering me inside before her.

"Wait, but what about--" My words were cut off by running into someone after Lissa basically shoved me inside. With an oomph I was stopped dead in my tracks and before I could apologize the guy wrapped his arms around me and swung me around.

"No Name!" I leaned back as he sat me back on the ground and recognized Jake, minus his leather pants.

"Jake, how are you?" I asked. Because it's casual to be talking to the country's top artist. All cool.

"Oh you know, just trying to avoid crazy fans and whatnot," he shrugged with a smirk.

"Jake, don't grab her like that," I heard Adam say from behind me. I turned around and nearly froze. He looked so good, it hurt. He was wearing a plain white shirt, his hair tucked behind his ears and his muscles....oh those muscles.

He smiled down at me. "No name, a pleasure as always," he greeted.

I smiled back, struggling to find words. "Uh, same," I mumbled.

"Okay!" Demi said loudly as she blew in through the doors. "Wow, what is with all of the cops out here?"

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"Oh, we had to have them block the place from the dicks," Jake explained.

Adam shook his head. "Jake didn't want paparazzi around so he had it taken care of," he corrected.

I nodded and we all stared at each other awkwardly. Lissa sighed and clapped her hands together.

"So! Shall we?" She broke the silence.

"After you ladies, we are down the hall to the right...I think," Jake said, trying to remember. He dug around in his pocket for his ticket, but came up empty.

"You're right," Adam confirmed.

I followed Demi and Lissa, the guys trailing behind me, and we headed to our theatre. I was acutely aware of how I normally walked all of the sudden. With them behind me, it was like I forgot how to walk. Don't girls usually swing their hips or something a little more? Ugh, this is so mortifying. When we sat, I got stuck between Adam and Lissa, which Adam apparently thought was very entertaining.

I shot him a look of confusion when he began laughing. He leaned closer to me with a smile.

"I wasn't joking earlier about the making out," he murmured, his minty breath distracting me.

My cheeks flamed. Wait, did he just say something about us making out? My heart took off.

"W-what?" I stuttered.

He did a double take, my expression hiding nothing.

"Oh," he said after realizing what I thought he meant. "No, no, Lissa and Jake remember?"

Relief flooded me. "Right!"

As the movie trailers came on, I sat there silently and very aware of his arm right next to mine. Every now and then he would accidentally bump into me while he adjusted his drink and popcorn and each time it made me flush.

As time went on, I felt slightly disappointed that his comment wasn't about us. Ridiculous, I know, but some part of me...I don't know.

"Let me know if you want to switch at any point," Adam whispered, leaning closer to me. I glanced at him and then back at Lissa who was next to me. Sure enough, they were latched onto each other. Demi leaned around the two of them to give me a look of disgust.

I glanced at Adam who was intently watching the screen.

"I may take you up on that offer if it goes further," I whispered back. He didn't look at me, but he smiled and gave a small nod, his arm bumping into mine, but this time he didn't move it away. A warmth spread through my heart like I had never felt before and I struggled to not smile at the feeling.

I quickly discovered that I never thought to ask what movie we were watching. Good thing because I wouldn't have come. It was a scary movie, not just a scary movie either. It was a paranormal movie, which Lissa knows I hate. After seeing movies like these, I wind up sleeping with a light on for weeks.

I jumped and pulled my legs to my chest, allowing my hair to fall in my face so I could somewhat hide the terror written on my face.

I heard a soft chuckle from beside me and glanced over to Adam who was smirking at me.

He mouthed 'you okay?' silently to me and I let out a deep breath before nodding. He struggled to keep his smile hidden as he watched me, his blue eyes piercing even in the darkness of the theatre.

He slid down in his seat so he could be closer to me and his shoulder bumped into mine.

"Pst..." he whispered.

I glanced at him, my heart racing at the feeling of his shoulder touching mine. There were screams coming from the movie screen and I refused to look at it, keeping my eyes on his strong jaw line as he stared at the screen.

Finally he looked at me, our faces much closer than I expected, making a blush sweep across my face.

"Have you ever tried milk duds and popcorn?" he asked.

I shook my head, narrowing my eyes at the thought of eating those two things together.

"Don't knock it till you try it no name," he whispered before sitting up a bit. He reached into his back pocket and brought out a box of milk duds. He grabbed his popcorn and ripped the box open and mixed the contents together.

Demi shushed him from the other side of Lissa and Jake. Adam made an oops face before scooting down to my level again.

He passed me the bag of his popcorn and I took it. I hesitated before grabbing a milk dud and a few pieces of popcorn. Holding it in my hand I glanced at him. He was anxiously awaiting.

"This sounds terrible," I said.

He smiled, the close proximity making me nervous.

I placed the contents in my mouth and chewed. It was an interesting combo, almost slightly annoying because the caramel was sticking to my teeth and the popcorn. It made it next to impossible to eat. The taste was average too.

I looked at him.

"Not that good," I murmured. His jaw dropped and he reached over to take his bag back. With his arm over me, grabbing the bag on my other side, his face was even closer. It took us both by surprise as our eyes met. He glanced down at my lips and I glanced down at his. A hint of a smile dusted his lips as he slowly leaned away with his popcorn bag in hand. He ran a hand through his hair and sat up straighter.

He grabbed a handful of his snack and watched me as he placed it in his mouth. I grimaced and he grinned before chewing.

When I peeled my gaze away from him and paid attention the movie again I regret it. I jumped again and shut my eyes.

When I opened them, it was a calmer scene. I watched intently wondering what would happen to the little girl on screen. Pretty sure she was about to die.

"Boo!" I shrieked and jumped, elbowing Adam at the same time.

"Lissa!" I whisper yelled before turning to apologize to Adam. He was rubbing his side.

He gave me a look like it was okay, which it so wasn't. I was going to kill her for that.

When the movie finally ended, we all shuffled out of the movie theatre. Jake's arm was around Lissa and they were walking in front of us. Demi walked next to me and Adam was in the middle of our group, walking alone.

"How long do you think that will last?" Demi asked.

I shrugged. "I give it a month," I answered. We glanced at each other and nodded in agreement.

"Now you and Adam on the other hand," Demi began. I shot her a look to make her be quiet.

"What? You guys would be so cute," she defended.

I shook my head. "I won't ever see him again after this summer, what's the point?"

"What's the point of ever dating Al?" she pointed out quietly.

I sighed. "I don't foresee him ever doing anything," I finally said.

Demi rolled her eyes before changing the subject. "So where is your brother?"

I gave her a curious look. "I don't know, why?"

She shrugged. "Just wondering."

I was about to dig more into this so called crush she has on my brother when I was interrupted.

"Hey, so we are going to go get some food," Lissa said. Jake stared at her like there was something more to that. I took the hint and smiled.

"You two have fun," I laughed. She winked at me before turning around and walking away with Jake following her like a puppy.

"I'm going to go on a small search," Demi said hesitantly. I narrowed my eyes at her.

"You're going to go find my brother," I said.

She pursed her lips and I sighed. "Go on," I told her. She beamed and hugged me before bounding away.

I rubbed the back of my arm awkwardly while Adam and I stood outside of the movie theatre.

"I can't believe you have never tried milk duds and popcorn before," he said in disbelief. I stared at him. His jeans showing his muscle, but were relaxed. He was wearing simple grey vans. I couldn't stop staring at him.

Wait, what did he say...milk duds, right.

"I don't know anyone that has tried that...willingly," I teased.

He smiled. "I love it," he said. "When I first started playing in the band, our gigs were at fair and rodeos and we always tried the weirdest food. Have you ever tried fried oreos?"

I grimaced, that definitely didn't sound good.

He laughed. "That was the look I had too, but they actually aren't bad. It's amazing what they have at those places," he remembered.

"I don't really branch out with food I guess," I admitted. He glanced at me and we held each other's gazes.

"Hmm...we'll have to change that," he murmured with a smirk.

A small smile made it onto my face and I glanced away.

"I hate to be this guy," he began and moved closer to me. "But Jake was my ride..."

"Oh," I dug in my purse for my keys. "Of course."

Adam placed a hand over my hands with my keys. "Now hold on a minute," he laughed. "I wasn't demanding that you drive me home or anything."

My face turned red at his touch. I glanced up to see him watching me. There was a look on his face that I couldn't quite understand. He shook it away quickly, clearly trying to hide it from me.

"It really isn't a problem," I said, his hand still covering mine.

"Actually," he said and looked off for a second before turning back to me. "I have an idea."
