We didn't leave that day like I was hoping. No Tate said we have a job to do so we stayed but a lot has changed. I quit talking. I'm not sure why. I just shake my head or nod giving them my answer. I no longer guard Alex. I walk the perimeter now. I don't have to go to school. They keep me away from Alex and Alex away from me. I eat at different times. I train while they are at school, walk the perimeter when they get home.

If we all have to go somewhere with Alex I'm in the back. I'm not the head leader of this mission. It's Blake. Tate and Trent are afraid in going to have an episode. Whatever that means. Or that I might let Alex get killed on purpose. They should know me better than that. I might hate him but I wouldn't let him get killed.

Trent takes me out for ice cream every other day. I never had it before and let me tell you it's awesome. I try out different flavors. He tries to get me to talk but I won't. He told me what's wrong with me. I'm heart broken. My mate rejected me, slept with another girl and threatened to kill me. He said its bound to tear my heart apart. I couldn't understand that. So I just nod. He will tell me what Alex has been up too. I've tried to walk away buy he won't let me. He makes me sit down and listen. He's told me Alex is just as messed up as I am. He just mopes around. He won't go near that bitch. He's apologized to everyone for believing her. But me. I know for a fact he hasn't been sleeping with anyone because I don't feel it like I usually would. He tells me all sorts of stuff. I'll just nod to let him know I'm listening.

'Anissa south perimeter Sammy' Tate says almost panicked thru mind link. As soon as those words left his mouth I bolted with one thing in my mind. God no please not them. I've come attached to little Sammy. Melinda has brought Sammy to me damn near every night so I could get him to sleep. She said since that day I rocked him to sleep he's been difficult to put down. So she decided to try me again and when she found I was walking the south perimeter. She asked me to try so I nodded and did. He fell asleep instantly.

Now she brings him to me when he's difficult. We would just walk in silence until he is asleep. I usually walk the south but tonight I walked the north because there's been excessive rouge sightings. So they put me north and Lee south. When I reach there there's nothing but wolves. Snarling, growling, fighting wolves.

I pull out my gun and start shooting. One by one they fall. I look to my left and see Sammy being dragged by the arm from a still Melinda.

"Sammy!" I scream horsely. I shoot the wolf as run to them. I skid to a stop to see Melinda's throat ripped out and Sammy a couple feet away screaming in pain blood all over his body. I run to him picking him up being careful with his arm cradling him in my chest with one hand. I know they can handle it but I start to shoot anyway. Then I take off running towards a tree so I can hide him shooting as I go along.

'Anissa go get Sammy to the pack doctor were fine now' Trenton orders me. I don't answer back I just turn on my heels haul ass to back to the pack house. I don't stop until I reach the infirmary.

"Doctor!" I yell as I run to the door. I fling in open and lay Sammy down on the bed. "Work now!" I order him as I point to Sammy. He just nods getting to work.

"Please wait outside." he says a few minutes later.

"What? Why?" I ask.

"Your growling at me." he tells me. I have no clue what he's talking about but I just nod and walk out. I wasn't growling at him was I?

I pace up and down the hall for I don't know how long when Alex comes in.

"How is he?" he ask me. I stop pacing, look up at him and shrug. Then start pacing again. He looks rough to be honest.

"Anissa." I hear Tate say. I stop pacing look up at him and nod. "How is he?" Tate ask me. I shrug once again then start pacing again. "You haven't heard?" he ask me. I shake my head no.

"Everything taken care of?" I ask him.

"Yeah." he says. I nod.

"Need me for anything?" I ask.

"No stay with Sammy." he tells me. I nod an okay.

"His father? Someone needs to go get his father." I say stopping.

"Uh Anissa." Alex says. I stop and turn around to face him. "He doesn't have a father." he tells me.

"Of course he does." I argue. "He didn't just come out of thin air." I say.

"No I mean his father is dead." he says.

"Shit! Now what happens to him?" I ask them.

"Now we fine someone that's willing to raise him." Tate says. I nod and start pacing again.

"Alpha." I hear the doctor say after a hours of us waiting and pacing. I stop pacing and turn to look at him.

"How is he?" Alex ask jumping up from his seat. The doctor sighs.

"He's fine but he lost a lot of blood and it's to soon to tell but he might not ever be able to use his right arm." he tells Alex.

"What do you mean?" I ask him. He sighs again looking at me.

"I'm guessing rouges did this?" he ask. I nod. He waves his hand for us to follow him. We do and he leads us in Sammy's room. He leads us over to an x ray. "Well when they bit down on his arm." he says pointing to the x ray. I saw an area above his elbow completely shattered. "It shattered his bone and did very extensive damage to a lot of nerves. Now I repaired what I could but I couldn't repair them all. So I'm hoping with what I did repair it will give him some use of his arm but it's to soon to tell." he tells us.
