A dark room greeted me when I awoke. I was unable to see anything. I adjusted to the small lights in the room and opened my eyes to find myself in an unfamiliar environment. It was then that I realized I had been kidnapped. I examined the room more closely.

There were many people aged 18 to 20 in the room with me. Some of them were unconscious, while others were still drugged.

Then I realized I had played with a few of them and others who were on the list of the top 10. I looked at the VR glasses. I had no idea why they were there in front of me. Everyone seemed to have a pair as well, along with a name sheet and some food in a plastic bag.

A loud, sudden alarm went off. Students who had been drugged awoke to this sudden, loud noise. Almost everyone was awake.Only our hands were free, since our bodies were tied to our chairs and our mouths were stuffed with cloth. In an instant, the big door in front of us opened, and a grey-haired man entered. He wore a wig, I believe. If it was his real hair it would be a cringe as it was so shabby and uncared for.

 I heard him start talking

"Hello everyone. Perhaps you're wondering why you're here."

Each of you is an amazing gamer, so I thought we should play a game to see who is the best, but that game will decide whether you live or die. Now let's talk about what we're going to do. Today we're going to play a virtual game. We will play 10 rounds. Losing one round will result in you being electrocuted and automatically killed.

You are going to play a game of nightmares. What you see may or may not be your nightmare.If you survive the nightmare until the end of the round, you are saved. Each round will last one hour. But before you start playing, you all have to eat and rest because tomorrow we will start with the first round.

Men in black suits then came to untie our mouths and place the food in our hands. Nobody dared to make noise because we all knew if we did. We could die. We all ate our food and drank water because we were so hungry we didn't have breakfast. After eating we were taken to rooms.

 One room consisted of 6 people, there was a total of 30 people.

I entered my room and found five other people named Ruby, Chris, Stephen, Neha and Ruth. We were all going to be roommates. I started asking everyone how they got here. They had the same story as me, they were drugged. Then suddenly someone started talking on our bedroom speaker.

"Hello, welcome to your nightmares. We have your first match tomorrow, so rest well and come for lunch at 2 p.m.."

I looked at the clock to see that it was 2 p.m. We hurriedly changed and walked through the hallways in single file, black men surrounding us as we walked. The hallways were pitch black with small lights upstairs that weren't bright. We soon came to a large dark room. Suddenly the lights came on and we saw a large dining table with many chairs.

"Dear players, look ahead, find your names, sit in your respective places and eat your meal."I found my seat and sat down, then suddenly. People in white came to serve us food. We were to eat mashed potatoes and fruit with a bit of steak.

We all started digging as we were very hungry as we hadn't eaten for some time. After eating our food,  we were all escorted to our rooms to take a nap. I grabbed my blanket and pillow and climbed the stairs to the double-decker bed. I was on top and Stephen was below me. Then the lights went out because we were very tired, we fell asleep. I got up because it was a new day.We all fell asleep after having lunch. 

I got up and we were given new clothes. We all got up and went to the great room which I assumed was now the dining room. We all took our respective seats and started having breakfast. A packet of crisps and a bottle of fruit juice. Today was the first match. We were all very scared thinking about what these people were going to do to us.

"Dear players, the match will take place at midnight, be ready."

We all went back to our rooms.

"What are we going to do? (Ruth)

"The only thing we know is that we've been kidnapped and have to play this scary game" (Chris).

We all just went back to bed 'cause the game is tomorrow.
