"Oh my gosh, that fucking bastard!"

I stare down at the copy of the contract between my landlord and Niccolo in disbelief. There is no way this is real. It can't be.

"Damn Autumn. What's got you all worked up?" Gabby asks, popping her head into the doorway of my apartment before stepping inside.

I regret giving her a key.

She walks towards me and plops down onto the couch beside me. She glances over my shoulder to read the contract in my hand. "Isn't Niccolo Fierri your boss?" She questions.

"Yes," I frown.

"Why would he-"

"Because he's freaking delusional!" I seethe, cutting her off. I apologize when I realize I've taken my anger out on her by raising my voice.

She wasn't the one I was upset with. My anger should be directed towards Niccolo. But the last two times we've gotten into it, he's always had the upper hand. He's cornered me twice, and choked me once now already.

Although I've gotten aroused by having his fingers around my throat, I've had to wear a turtle neck and my hair down to hide the marks he left on my skin from Gabby and the rest of my family.

It's almost a hundred degrees outside, and it's in the middle of June. I just hope they believe it to be hickies. That's far more believable then telling them my boss held me at gunpoint, or choked me until I could hardly breathe.

"Well, have you spoken to the nice one- Marcellius about it?"

I shake my head. "No, but maybe I should." Setting the paper down, I grab my laptop off the coffee table in front of me and place it onto my lap.

Flipping the laptop open, I type Marcellius' name into the search bar. His name, work number, the club, and couple other things pop up into the results.

I stare at the word, blinking several times to try and register what I'm staring at. Mafia. Clicking on the link that reads: "The Four: The Most Feared Mafia Brothers In All Of New York." I skim over the article, completely forgetting why I even looked up my boss' name.

The article provides me information about this Mafia known as "The Four." My eyes widen when I read over four familiar names. Marcellius, Niccolo, Luciano, and Cesare Fierri.

I skim over another paragraph informing me about their father named Giovanni Fierri. Apparently, he was murdered five years ago in cold blood. And now, Marcellius Fierri, the oldest son has taken on the leadership role.

Unable to stop my eyes from reading the words, I continue well into another paragraph. It talks about Marcellius losing his oldest son, Miko's mother, to a rival Mafia gang four years ago. Damn, that's got to be tough. I see why Marcellius doesn't smile. He's lost a lot.

My eyes zero in on a familiar name. Mia Davis. I remember her. That's his wife from Davis Cafe and Diner. They were so cute together. And she looked like she was about to give birth at any minute.

Scrolling down, the article comes to an end. It doesn't say much else, except about the Fierri's owning Fallen and the club's success in popularity.

If all this information is true, then that explains the gun, the drugs, and the several men in black surrounding the perimeter.

And it might also explain the man Niccolo called, Sin. Maybe he's a business partner, or someone who's also in the Mafia. I shudder at the thought. That makes him ten times scarier now.

Gabby must have been reading as well, because when I look up and over at her, her eyes are so wide that they look like they're going to pop out of its socket.

"Your bosses are in the damned Mafia, Autumn!" She shouts, jolting to her feet. "You have to quit," she says, fear in her eyes.

I didn't see what the issue was. Besides Niccolo, they haven't given me much reason to be afraid of them. In fact, they are kinder than I thought for a group of Italian men in the Mafia living in New York. You just don't see that everyday.

"I'm not quitting," I tell her calmly. "I like my job. I like the people, and I especially like the money."

Gabby raises her voice, bewildered by the fact that I'm so unfazed by all of this new information. She's staring at me like I'm crazy, which wasn't wrong. I am crazy. But unlike her, I embrace my crazy.

"Do you even hear yourself. I love you hermana(sis), but you have lost your fucking mind."

"So I've been told," I reply with a shrug.

She walks around the little round coffee table, and begins pacing in front of the TV. She combs a hand through her blonde hair, trying to think of ways to convince me to quit I'm sure.

If she knew about the enemy I've made of myself with one of the Fierri brothers then she'd really flip her shit.

"Not only are you working as a stripper for a club owned by the Mafia, but one of them just bought the apartment you're living in because what- he thinks he owns you?" She stops pacing to look at me. "Did I miss anything?"

I shake my head. "Nope, sounds about right." I give her a wide smile.

She blinks at me as realization washes over her. "Oh my God. My sister is a lunatic."

"You're just now figuring that out hermana(sis)?"

She shoots me a glare, her lips curved down into a frown. "Mom and dad are going to kill you."

They're going to want to kill me even more when they find out I invited one of them to the party tonight.

"How does this look po' rossa(little red)?" Cesare smooths a hand down his traditional black and white suit, posing in the mirror.

"If we weren't friends, then I'd fuck you right here and now," I joke.

His eyes flicker to me, lust burning in his ocean blue eyes and a smirk on his face. His voice lowers an octave. "Who says that still can't be arranged?"

"Oh please, Cesare," I say with a laugh and a dissmive wave. "You wouldn't be able to handle someone like me."

He sexily cocks his head to the side, the smirk on his face stretching up to his eye. "But Niccolo would?" He counters with a quirked brow.

I end up blushing at the comment, caught off guard.

Damn him.

I've been wanting his older brother to fuck the shit out of me since we crossed paths. And although I hate him with every being in my body, his aggression, and masculine energy makes my entire body burn with desire.

Who says enemies can't have benefits?

I realize now that I shouldn't have told him about me and his brother. Not that there was anything really to tell. But now he won't stop bringing it up every chance he gets.

"I never said that," I say, my voice just barely above a whisper.

"Oh that's right. My bad." He shakes his head. "You said that you could handle him. Remember?"

I roll my eyes ignoring him. Stepping into the mirror, my eyes scan over my dress. My mother is going to hate this dress, which brings me great joy.

A sleeveless red dress that reaches the floor. The dress is a two piece, with the upper half a halter top and the bottom mermaid shaped to cling to my curves. Two slits reach all the way to my thighs. One wrong move and I'm flashing everyone.

Having decided to flat iron my hair, I let it fall at my sides to show every piercing on my ears. I look sexy as hell. If Niccolo could see me now...

Ew.

Why am I even thinking about that asshole, especially after what he did?

Fuck him and his rich ass.

"So, how do I look?"

"Fuck-able," Cesare says behind me, biting at his lip. He's eyeing my body in the dress, his hands shoved in the pocket of his suit pants.

"Thank you." I turn to face him with a knowing smile. His eyes snap up to me, unbothered by the fact that he was just checking me out. "I know we are friends, but you can't keep looking at me like that. I might get the idea that you want to fuck me."

"I do want to fuck you," he admits. "But you already knew that, friend."

I roll my eyes. "When's the last time you even got laid?"

He checks the time on his diamond encrusted watch, before looking back up at me. "Thirty minutes ago."

Of course.

I burst into laughter. "You are just a man whore."

"Says the whore who tried to suck off Ethan to keep him from snitching on your ass."

"Hey," I say with a shrug. "You got to do what you got to do."

He nods. "Agreed. Now let's hit this party, so we can piss off your parents and get white girl wasted."

I hook my arm around his with a grin. "I like the way you think."
