"Hello Miss Greene so glad to see you're doing better." My doctor said coming into the room where I sat nervously on the bed.

"Yeah I'm so glad to get rid of that walker and switch to a crutch." I told her.

"So your legs are feeling normal and no weird pains or swelling? What have you been doing at home to stretch and exercise?" She asked.

"Yes they feel normal, and I've actually been doing more than walks, for the past week my friend has been helping me with exercises and it's helping so much, even though my legs are gonna take a while to grow muscle I can definitely handle a lot more on my legs than before." I answered.

"Oh wonderful. And you'll be surprised how fast muscle can actually grow if you're consistent." She said.

"Okay so we ran all your tests and everything is running smoothly. Let me just look at your leg here just to make sure everything is still good." She said while putting gloves on.

"I'll need you to lay down please." She said.

I did as she told me and laid flat on the bed. She began to press onto my leg and feel around "Does this hurt?" She asked. I answered quickly with "No."

"No bruising or sensitivity?" She asked.

"Nope." I said.

"Okay you can sit up" She told me. This time she grabbed her little tool and tapped on my knees to make sure my nerves are still working.

"Looks like everything is running perfectly Jade. Just keep up on the exercise. Do you have any questions?" She asked throwing her gloves in the trash and then writing on her little clip board.

"I do but it has nothing to do with my leg." I said.

"That's okay. That's what you're here for, tell me what it is so I can help." She smiled at me.

"Um, I wanna get on birth control." I said.

She chuckled. "No problem. We can go over the different types and see what we can do for you." She said sitting down to her laptop and started typing away.

"Have you been on birth control before?" She asked

"No."

"Are you sexually active?"

"Um yes."

"Do you have any abnormal menstrual cycles?" She asked.

"No I think they're pretty normal." I said.

"Okay so your options are the pill, the ring, the patch, a shot, and a IUD. I have a paper that you can look at with all the benefits and disadvantages and information about each treatment. I just have to run and grab it out the printer, so I'll be right back." She said and then proceeded to get up and go get the paper.

This will be good for me. A couple years to figure myself out and then when I'm ready I can think about kids. Just thinking about being pregnant again right now makes me wanna crawl in a hole and die.

"Okay! Here you go." The doctor said coming back in. "You can look at it as long as you need. If you're not sure on a choice you can take it home and come back. Although you will have to come back for the IUD." She said sitting back down.

"I would like to think it over, I wasn't aware there is so many choices." I said looking at the paper in my hands.

"Okay no problem, and I'm glad you came to me about this. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Do you have anymore questions or concerns before we finish up?" She asked.

"Um.. I think that's all." I answered.

"So you're all on track, Healthy, functional, and you're coming back for birth control." She said typing into her computer. "Would you like to do the birth control in your appointment next week since you'll be here already or would you like a separate appointment?" She asked.

"We can do it during next week's appointment. I should have decision by then." I said folding the paper and putting it in my pocket.

"Okay sounds good. Well thank you for the visit today Jade and I'll see you next week." She said standing up and opening the door.

"No thank YOU." I grabbed my crutches and slid off the table, I grabbed my things and followed her out.

"Take care Miss Greene see you next week." She said holding the door open for me.

"You too." I said wobbling over to Seth who was waiting for me in the waiting room. He was looking at his phone until he heard my voice.

"Hey, That was quick." He said standing up.

"Yeah everything is going great, just a few questions and I was good." I told him while linking my arm with his for more balance.

He held the door open for me and I walked outside "So does that mean you're clear for more activities? You know... Riding the horse or something like that." He said.

The door closed behind him as he walked away from the building. "Or something? And you know I didn't brother to ask but since I've been working out I think I could handle it." I said a little too casually.

We got to the house and Carter and Hunter was packing their truck with beach stuff and their surfboards.

"Oh good! Glad to hear you're improving. It's nice seeing you up and around, being you again. Speaking of which are you going to the beach with us?" He asked.

"Yes we are but we're gonna meet you there. We just have a couple things to do first." I said.

"Okay cool. Well we won't keep you then." Carter said.

"We won't be long. Be careful on those waves." I told them while walking to the house.

Seth closed the door behind us and I turned and looked at him. "Is this the part where you claim I'm yours and man handle me to the bedroom?" I said remembering a time that was done.
