KUROO'S P.O.V.

After leaving Y/N I storm through the halls, cursing under my breath at Kenma for being so damn dense.

How could he not see what he was doing?

Once I get to my room, I slam open the door and see some chick with long hair who stares at me as though I've shattered the whole world.

"What's wrong with you?" Kenma asks me once he sees the pissed-off look on my face.

"Oi, you, Kenma's busy now. He'll see you another time," I say to the girl without responding to Kenma.

She looks over towards Kenma for approval who nods to her.

"I'll see you tomorrow."

I scoff at the words Kenma chose to say to the girl.

As she runs past, seeming almost terrified of me, I try to get a good look at her face. Although she refuses to even glance up at me, it's easy for me to tell she's mortified.

"What the fuck's your problem?" Kenma asks once the girl is gone.

"Who the hell was that girl?"

"My friend," he shrugs, "what's the big deal."

"Ya know, you're never gonna land Y/N if you spend more time with that other chick because she's gonna feel like there's no room left for her in your life."

I can tell that my words hit Kenma hard. The shocked expression on his face proves it.

"Why can't I be friends with Shiro? If Y/N doesn't like her that's not my fault," Kenma says as if it's no big deal.

"I didn't say you can't be here friend but did you ever stop to think that maybe Y/N doesn't like you with her because you are ignoring her!"

I find myself getting closer to Kenma as it becomes increasingly harder to contain my emotions.

"If you don't get your shit together you're gonna lose Y/N!"

"Why would I-"

"Because Kai is the one there for her, not you!"

My words ring in Kenma's ears. Same with my own. The two of us stand in silence for a moment as waves of emotions crash over my best friend's face.

Eventually, Kenma's aura darkens, giving me a bad feeling.

"Y/N would never go for Kai," he growls.

"Oh, so that wasn't Y/N I just saw walk into Kai's dorm? That's weird because I'm pretty sure his roommate is a pre-med student and is never-"

"Shut up!"

Kenma's outburst catches me off guard. I knew he was bottling up his emotions, but damn. Poor Kenma doesn't realize just how much he cares for Y/N.

"You don't know what you're talking about," he eventually responds, but this time in a might quieter tone.

Although I can tell Kenma is still pissed off, he will be more reasonable to deal with now.

"Okay Kenma," I shrug, "prove me wrong and admit you don't have feelings for Y/N."

"What?"

Now I've officially captured Kenma's attention. His eyes pierce right into mine as he's a bit blown back by your straightforwardness. For a moment I catch a soft look on his face before he returns to his angered disposition.

Before responding to my question, I hear Kenma mutter under his breath. Unable to understand what he's said, I ask him to repeat himself.

"Tch," he scoffs as he now avoids my gaze, "I said I don't like Y/N like that. We were just having fun and that's all."

I know that he's lying. I can tell by the way he acts around her compared to everyone else. Including that other girl. Why can't he just admit that?

Kenma walks over to his desk and sits down. I watch him in shock for a moment that he actually had the audacity to say that to me.

"Kenma!" I yell as you slam my hand down on his desk right in front of him, "Don't give me that crap!"

"It's not crap," he calmly replies.

Bending over, I lean in towards Kenma to get to his eye level.

"Then say it straight to my face."

Kenma looks at me once more with even more rage than before.

"I don't have to say shit," he rudely remarks.

"God, Kenma, I'm trying to help you out," I say defeatedly as I now lean against his desk, "Just... if you like her then admit it."

I watch as Kenma's face now softens as something new begins brewing in his mind.

"I did have feelings for her," he finally admits, "but she expressed that she didn't want it to be more than fooling around and made that very clear."

"Well did you even tell her how you felt? Like at all?" I ask.

Kenma shakes his head sadly as he understands where I'm going with the conversation.

I put my hand on Kenma's shoulder and stand back up.

"Well if you want my opinion, I think you should talk to her before it gets worse."

I watch my roommate as his head nods in agreement.

"I will tomorrow. Once we're all cooled off."

"Good idea," I reply as I pat his head, "thanks for listening."

Y/N'S P.O.V.

"Hey!" you call out to your friend on the other line of the phone.

"Hi Y/N what's up?!"

"I'm gonna be honest. I need to get off campus and do something fun for a bit."

"You wanna meet up halfway?"

"Do you mind? You're not busy right?"

"Nope. I'm free!"

"God, you're a fucking angel. Let's meet at Refuge Bar midway, okay? I'll text you the address."

"Perfect! Meet you there in two hours!"

After hanging up the phone, you take a sigh of relief.

Finally. A way to relieve my stress.

You look around your room as you figure out where to begin getting ready for your night out.

Two hours...
