dixie told me she was on her way over to pick me up so i just waited in my living room. then i saw moan texted me

i smiled at his effort to us being back to where we were. then dixie texted me she was here she i walked out and got in her tesla

"good morning" she said driving off

"morning dixie" i bluntly said not really knowing what to talk about, because i'm not going to start off with "was it just a peck or make out"

she smiled and continued driving, and for the rest of the drive it was awkward and quiet and LONG where the hell was she taking me-

after a 45 minute car ride we arrived at RedBird, my favorite brunch place in LA. woah she is trying-

we were waited to be seated, "how's your day so far" she tried to started a conversation

"well i woke up got ready and now i'm with you, so you know it's weird" i said honestly

she nodded and we were finally seated and we ordered our drinks, mine being orange juice, hers being strawberry lemonade

"so where do you wanna start" she asked and i knew she meant with her and noah

"from the beginning"

"well you know i had problems with getting over griffin, i mean he cheated so it's harder to lose feelings for him, but anyways when you got too busy with writing and acting for your new movie, i had no one to turn to" she started

"as if you're not one of the most loved girls in LA, i call bullshit" i said but motioned her to continue

"i texted noah because he's obsessed with you and won't hang out with anyone else so he could help me out and he came. we talked for hours about you and griffin but then i started crying and he hugged me. then we kissed"

"peck or make out" i said wanting to know, BADLY

"peck, we knew we couldn't go farther because of you" she said crying, so i knew she really felt bad

"dixie, i know you both are sorry, i do. but you guys need to understand, i'm feeling how you felt when you found out. but much worse, you both were my best friends in the entire city. you guys met my family, i opened up to you guys about so many things. all for you guys to kiss behind my back"

"lizzie, noah and i would take back that kiss in a heartbeat. we know we hurt you bad and we can't express how bad we feel to see you this way, but you have to understand that kiss meant nothing to either of us. if it makes you feel better noah broke down crying because he knew he made a mistake" she laughed wiping away her tears

i laughed a little too, "he's such a softie"

"and when he called me last night to tell me we can no longer talk because that's what you had said, i knew he loved you so much. and i don't blame you for not wanting him to talk to me, if it was flipped around i wouldn't want him talking to you either. but i hope that doesn't mean you and me can no longer talk. because you are my best friend liz." she said making eye contact

"and you're my best friend even though you do the dumbest shit" i said getting up to hug her, "but we gotta take it slow, i have my doubts." i shrug but she nodded in agreement

"anything just to have my best friend back" she said hugging me tighter
