Y/N grunted, barely fighting against her restraints. They were tightly strung, and she was  up against a ninja of more than twice her power size. She flinched underneath his strong gaze. His sharingan was deactivated, but he was by no means harmless. He reached out and pulled lightly at her pigtails, pinching two strands between them as he studied her hair. She squeezed her eyes shut.

"There are things worse than death you know." Itachi commented lightly. "All it takes is to come across the wrong person." He smirked as he pulled her hair strongly, making her squeal. "There are men like me that would love to take advantage of ones like you."

"Stop it." She whined. "I don't have information, nor would I give you any. I just want to die." She begged him as he let go of her, turning back to his tea. He sipped it while she weakly flopped onto her side. "There's nothing left back there."

"Not true." Itachi smirked at her. "Don't think I didn't approach you without doing my research, silly child." Itachi nudged her like old times, making her drop her jaw. "You have two friends you care about more than anything in the world." Itachi smirked as he looked down into the fire. "I had something like that before too."

Y/N glared at him. "Then you killed them." She turned her back on him. "You killed him and you hurt my friend more than anything in the world." She frowned. "You became just like this sick and twisted world." She spit at the ground.

Itachi nodded. "I did." He agreed to her. "This world is cruel." He got done on his knees and leaned over her to look her in the eyes. "But to forget everyone who got you so far, do you really not care that much?" He said while grabbing her chin. Y/N was forced to look him in the eye.

"Answer me." He commended louder, tightening his grip. She whimpered and shook her head no.

"I do care, that's why I don't want to care anymore." She shut her eyes to look away from him. "Everyone hates me, including my own family." She said quietly, her forehead rustled as Itachi got closer, his lips at her ear.

"I've never heard such bullshit." He teased her, her eyes flew open as he moved away from her with a smirk on his face. It was the same line she had heard Sasuke said.

"You were watching us." She sneered at him. "You're such a jerk."She huffed and looked away triumphantly.

"I was watching." Itachi nodded. "I have to say, I never expected your petty teammate to leave you for dead." He chuckled at her as she rolled her eyes.

"I was counting on it." Y/N smirked as Itachi shook his head at her. "The only ones that would care are Sasuke and Naruto." She frowned. "And even they would get over me quickly."

"Do you really believe that?" Itachi murmured. She shook her head in disbelief.

"No." She whimpered, a tear going down her face. Itachi let her sulk on the floor, a look of complete exhaustion on her face. "But they'd be better off." She muttered as Itachi rubbed a piece of hair behind her ears. She barely flinched, accepting her death.

"I've never seen someone so oblivious." Itachi commented to her. Y/N shrugged in her bindings, uncaring. "I didn't ever take you for the person to give up." Itachi shook his head at her. She nodded, shamed.

"Yeah. I didn't either." Itachi listened to her speak with weak conviction. He shook his head.

"You have no idea how good you have it. You have no idea how many in this village think you're amazing." Itachi chuckled. He looked at her darkly. "You get a few bad apples and you think the entire orchard is bad." Itachis shook his head at her. Y/N stayed silent.

"Your 'comrade' Itachi said darkly. "Had it been anyone but me, they would have loved a pretty girl like you." Itachi made her shiver. "You say you want to die, but you do realize there is way worse than dying." Itachi spoke with clear conviction. "A pretty face like that.."

Y/N almost threw up from what he was implying. "Such youth too." Itachi poked her cheek with his free hand. "So breakable. If you thought you were broken before, that's nothing compared to what they could do to you."

She fought to control her disgust at the thought. "I never thought of that." She admitted, a frown on her face. Itachi nodded.

"You're still a child, it's uncommon for you to think." Itachi chuckled at the look on her face. "It's not just Sasuke and Naruto you know." Itachi rolled his eyes. "Your sensei is frantically looking for you as we speak."

"He has to." Y/N rolled her eyes. "I'm his comrade."

"Just like she attempted to murder you?" Itachi glared at her. "Don't be ridiculous. Do you know how many people leave gifts and flowers on your door."

Y/N gave him an incredulous look. "No way." She had never received anything. "I have never ever-!"

"Seen them." Itachi rolled his eyes. "They were stolen each time." Y/N rolled her eyes.

"Who would do that?!" Y/N snapped. Itachi raised an eyebrow at her in silence. It dawned on her.

"Why would Sasuke do that?!" Y/N laughed aloud. "He wouldn't care."

Itachi smirked and looked away. "Children like you are so oblivious." He commented. "Are you really ready to give up your soul?" Itachi looked her in the eye, his sharingan raring to life. "Are you ready to lay down your life, get tortured in all kinds of ways until you're kept alive to die slowly-!"

"No." Y/N frowned. "I don't want to hear it."

"Everyone in that village that loves you, and you just throw it away because a few people don't love you. How selfish..." Itachi murmured, looking towards the fire. Y/N glared.

"Those few people mostly belong to my own family." Y/N glared. "My own mother casted me out and orphaned me." Y/N shook her head. "I don't even know if I was a bad kid. I was too little." She frowned. Itachi shrugged.

"And? You got to meet people that truly cared for you. You had a lot of fun, you met Naruto." Itachi smirked. "I remember specifically this little girl with pigtails and excited eyes, always running away from her two friends.

"That was a long time ago. Until reality hit." Y/N added, her eyes on the fire. "Sakura didn't help." She frowned. Itachi grabbed her shoulder hard, causing her to wince.

"So you're gonna lay down and let her take what she wants?" Itachi glared at her. "You don't care as long because you won't be here right. You don't care about Sasuke running all over the place looking for you, praying he doesn't find your body-!"

"Stop it!" Y/N cried out, his fingers digging into her skin. "Why do you care so much?!"

Itachi stayed silent, bringing his kunai out. She opened her eyes as he raised it above her. "Your family." He said simply. Y/N froze in his grip as he swiped his knife down hard.

She whimpered while rubbing her recently freed wrists, feeling the soreness in them as he untied her legs as well. She looked at him curiously as he offered her a cup of tea. "You don't have much family left, I agree." Itachi murmured, handing her a cup as she stared at it suspiciously. She took it and placed it on the floor, not feeling thirsty. "But there are still others who care for you." He added.

Y/N looked at him angrily. "We are not family anymore." She crossed her arms and looked away from him. She moved closer to the fire, sitting on her knees while shivering. Itachi stayed silent but nodded.

"I understand. It's hard to trust me under the circumstances." Itachi murmured, his hand bracing his chin. Y/N nodded.

"You've done a lot of bad things." Y/N looked at him. "You hurt a lot of people."

"I know." Itachi murmured. "I know I did." Y/N looked away from him, anger in her face. She was angry at herself for missing him. He was truly a big brother to her.

"Do you remember all the fun times?" Y/N asked him. "Is there a reason why it wasn't good enough?" She murmured. Itachi pursed his lips and nodded.

"Yes." He confirmed. "I'm sorry I couldn't tell you." He frowned. Y/N nodded.

"Did you not love us?" Y/N murmured. "Was it really all about power?" She whimpered.

Itachi shook his head no. She sighed.

"Which one?" She questioned with a pout. Itachi smirked but stayed silent, shaking his head at her.

"You were so young once. So filled with love." Itachi nuzzled her head, making her wince. "You need to realize what you're losing and who you're hurting when this happens." Itachi fixed her with a glare. "Seeing your friends hurt always hurts you more." He commented as he handed her a plate. She took the plate of fish and ate it, uncaring.

"Your right." She frowned. "I would never put myself before them."

Itachi took one of her long pigtails and stroked it, his eyes rolling. "Are you really going to let people like her win?" Itachi asked. "She tried to kill you." Itachi murmured, seeing as a fire started to burn in her eyes.

Y/N was angry. She was actually fuming. Itachi went to monologue to her, his lips at her ear whispering things she had never known. Her eyes widened in shock at the reason her parents gave her up, and the secret as to why Itachi killed his parents. She clapped her hand over her mouth as he finished his whispers, then was surrounded by fury. "I almost lost." She murmured.

Itachi nodded.

"We were used." Y/N mumbled. "Used by the very things we loved." Y/N clenched her fists against her chest, anger in her eyes. Itachi leaned forward and wrapped his arms around her, enjoying the heat in her eyes. He laid her face against his chest, a strong feeling revealing from her.

"You fulfilled your secret mission and more." Itachi murmured, "And an entirely different burden arised for you."

"I almost let her kill me." Y/N glowered angrily at the floor. "I almost let this village kill me."

"Your more than that." Itachi stroked her hair. "Little sister." He shook his head at her as she nodded against his chest, missing him more than ever.

Y/N walked back to her camp, a fury in her eyes unlike any other. She also had a smile, Itachi's parting words soothing her as she quickly made her way back to camp. She stumbled into camp, confusion on her face. Kakashi was slumped over at the fire, his head bowed as he faced away from her. The second she stepped onto a leaf, he turned with swiftness, his kunai bared.

She smiled, a breath of air on her face as she looked into his crying face. "Y/N!" He called out loudly, dropping everything as he ran towards her. She was beaming now, running the rest of the way as she jumped into his arms.

"Kakashi Sensei!" She cried out, burying her face into his vest. He had strong silent tears trekking down his eye, a proud look on his face as he put her down, clapping her shoulders. "I'm okay." She promised.

"Y/N-Chan!!!" Naruto yelled as he ran out from the tent, his entire form knocking her down in tears as he sobbed all over her. She hugged him back, happy as she smiled so brightly. Y/N turned and looked while Naruto cried over her, her eyes meeting Sasuke's as he resurfaced from the tent.

He looked horrible, worry lines all over his face. His eyes showed a strong look of relief as he met hers, and even surprised as he saw the smile stretched out over it. She grinned at him, a soothed look on her face. "Sasuke-kun!" She had never called him that ever, he noted with a smirk. He breathed an air of relief. Y/N got up from underneath Naruto and ran straight into Sasuke arms, the ninja nearly buckling from her tight grip.

"I want to live." She proclaimed in his ears, his eyes widened. "I've never wanted to live more." She confirmed to him while nuzzling his neck. Sasuke groaned with relief, his own tear escaping while Sakura stomped out from all the ruckus. Her eyes widened at seeing Sasuke holding Y/N, a look of pure happiness on his face. He wiped it away quickly from embarrassment, and cleared his throat.

"I'm glad." Sasuke booped her head. "So what happened? Sakura told us you were killed by the enemy." He fixed Sakura with a confused look. Sakura's cheeks went bright red from embarrassment. She bounded forward, and bowed to Y/N in front of them all.

"I'm so glad I was mistaken for Y/N-Chan!" Sakura exclaimed as Kakashi took Y/N's free hand. He kissed it, a look of severe regret on his face.

"Sakura said she saw your throat slit." Kakashi explained. "We weren't leaving until we found your body."

Y/N fixed Sakura with a blank look, the two of them having a stare down. Sakura looked frantic, wringing her hands nervously. "Y/N-Chan, please say something." Sakura said, her heart beating in her chest. Sasuke looked in between them with narrowed eyes.

"Did something happen?" He interjected. Y/N's face was blank as she looked around at all the faces. Kakashi frowned at her.

"Itachi got me." Y/N said, causing the whole group to go pale. Sasuke looked at her like she smacked him in the face. "He touched me, not like that-!" Y/N directed towards Sasuke who was going red with anger. He looked as if he was about to explode. "He just wanted to talk to me."

"What did he say?" Kakashi frowned. "It must have been a genjutsu." He directed towards Sakura, who collapsed onto her knees in relief. Naruto clapped her shoulder, making Sakura give him a grim smile. Y/N shrugged off Sasuke's questioning looks.

"He told me not to give up yet." Y/N smiled brightly. "That I'm so much stronger." She gave Kakashi a bright smile. The group was tense, but Kakashi was happy to make sure Y/N was completely okay. Sakura stayed looking at the floor as Sasuke took Y/N by the arm.

"Sasuke-kun don't you want to sit by me?" Sakura smiled excitedly. Y/N laughed and turned around, fixing Sakura with a steel look.

"Actually, he's by me." Y/N said boldly, shocking Sakura. "Nice try though." Her voice got deeper as she added that, and Sasuke smirked as they and Naruto went into the tent. Kakashi and Sakura were left, Kakashi fixing Sakura with a look.

"Is everything okay Sakura? Y/N seems mad at you." He looked at her with what was clearly a warning look. Sakura gulped.

"Yes Kakashi-Sensei."

Y/N caught up to the group of three pretty easily, an uneasiness on her face. She frowned as she neared them, Nagi seeing her easily with his knowing face. "Mother!" He called out, waving to her other. Ko smiled at her, hugging her as she came close. "My mother!" He challenged her, Naruto instantly separating Ko from Nagi.

"Did you tell him yet?" Y/N asked Naruto. Naruto shook his head no.

"No I was too busy catching them out the window." Naruto glowered at Nagi for being irresponsible. Y/N gasped, looking back towards the building.

"You guys fell from that closet right? Were you trying to get away from someone creepy?" Y/N asked aloud. Nagi nodded, a pout on his face.

"He chased us Mother." Nagi pouted. Y/N turned to Naruto with a sigh.

"There was a creepy guy trying to break down the door. I think we should confront him later. He was very suspicious." Y/N directed to Naruto. He pursed his lips.

"If he's trying to Nagi, do you think so..." Naruto thought to himself aloud. "Perhaps he's really after Nagi? How weird was he."

Ko giggled. "I don't know what he looks like, he never saw us." Ko looked down at the floor and then up at Y/N. "Will you protect us from the weird man? I think he likes cute girls." Ko whimpered as Y/N leaned over and hugged her back.

"Don't worry, no one will touch either of you. Nagi, did you ever see a weird man with dark clothes and blonde hair?" Y/N questioned Nagi as he ran into her arms, wrapping his own around her waist. He shook his head no.

"Maybe he's not after Nagi, just people." Y/N murmured. "Nagi, the ship we were on.. Did you have any important people there?" Y/N asked him, patting his head. Nagi shook his head no.

"No mother, just everyone I'm with now." Nagi smiled. Y/N sighed.

"Everyone went missing Nagi, you didn't meet anyone that could be suspicious did you?" Y/N asked him gently, trying to brace the news.

Nagi smiled but shook his head no.

"All I care about is right here mommy." Nagi hugged Y/N tightly. She sighed.

"You need to tell me the truth right now Nagi, where are you staying?" Y/N placed her hand on Nagi's cheeks. "I won't be mad, tell me where all your stuff is."

Nagi smiled. "My room." He shrugged his shoulders. She sighed. "Can you show me?"

Nagi stayed quiet, Ko looking at him in concern from underneath Naruto's arm.

"Nagi." Y/N frowned at him. He shrugged.

"Okay." Nagi smiled. "It's at the playhouse. I didn't get to introduce you to my friends yet, did I? Nagi smiled. Y/N nodded.

"I'll show you later then mommy, I promise." Nagi smiled at her sheepishly. "If you're worried about me, don't be. I'm safe." He added with a cute smile. Y/N sighed. "If you're worried about your special naked time with papa, I'll give you time for that too."

Naruto burst out laughing as Y/N went red. "Fine, later." She added to Nagi while looking away.

"I just want to spend time with you." Nagi smiled, laying his head on her waist. She sighed but nodded.

"By the way, you aren't going out tomorrow." Nagi directed to Naruto and Y/N. "I'm taking Papa out, and you're going to stay home." Nagi said with a smile.

Y/N blinked. "I mean that's good with me-!"

"Totally, it's been a while since I had a special time with Y/N-Chan!" Naruto smiled. Y/N sighed, confused but happy that the kids were safe.
