The cab pulled up in front of a large posh building. The trip was much longer than Ned had expected, finding himself far from his usual estate to the classy neighbourhoods with plenty of luxury boutiques and exclusive artisans. On any other day it would have been a literal waste of time for Ned to wander into this town, where even the cab fee would have burnt a hole in his wallet, but not today. Ned carefully passed the black card from Evan to the driver, afraid that Evan's limitless flow of funds was a lie and he would be arrested on the spot if the card was a dud.

Beep. The driver returned the card to Ned with a pleasant smile and helped him out of the cab into his wheelchair. Ned's body was still in a very roughed up shape, but looking at the rectangular piece of black plastic in his hand, he momentarily felt like the most powerful man in the world. He turned around to look at all the fancy aesthetics of the offerings of the commercial world and a wave of euphoria sent chills down his spine as he imagined himself purchasing and owning everything on display without a second thought.

Opening his eyes, he realised the building was getting further and further away, until he desperately reached for the brakes to stop himself from rolling back into the street. With his fingers just inches away from the handle, his entire body cramped up as he remained paralysed while his wheelchair continued to reverse onto the busy street.

Fortunately, a staff member rushed out of the building and swiftly wheeled him into the building. "Oh my, you poor thing, are you lost? How can someone leave you in the street just ilke that? Do you need me to help you call someone?" said the woman. She was very well-dressed, and full of youth, one of those people that were unbelievably young looking despite their age. Perhaps it was because of the smile that seemed to always be plastered on her face.

"Thank you for your help but no, I'm not lost. I'm actually here to see the doctor." Ned shamefully replied, as his body continued to tremble.

"Oh I see! Yeah of course! Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Michelle and I'll get you registered right away! Dr Nilin will definitely be able to help you out with whatever ailments you're facing! Right this way!" Michelle said as he pushed Ned down a long hallway with dazzling chandeliers and numerous portraits of a man with numerous prominent figures and just as many framed testimonials that swore to the man's miracles.

"Dr Nilin helped me walk again"

"I never knew my body could feel so good"

"He brings your body to its prime."

"I was never the same after a major accident when I was a teenager. I thought I would I have to live with the pain for the rest of my life, but Dr Nilin's treatments made me feel like I was a high schooler once again!"

The further Ned went down the hallway, the more skeptical he became. "Wow, this Dr Nilin sure does sound amazing. What kind of treatment does he do?"

"Dr Nilin uses a wide range of medical techniques, but he does use a lot of tissue manipulation, chiropractic bodily adjustments and chi channeling. He always says he's using the patient's own bodily energy to repair itself. He's definitely one of the best in this field." Michelle explained.

Chi manipulation? Are you for real? And Chiropractic?!?! I've seen videos of those, I'm not getting my neck and spine snapped!

"Before we begin the consultation with Dr Nilin, I just need you to fill up this form." Michelle handed Ned a tablet before moving off to another room.

Ned hesitantly filled up his personal particulars, highlighted the problematic areas (where he selected everything) and finally got to the summary page where it showed a rundown of the costs. His eyes widened to the size of golf balls as he scrolled down the page. It was a 5 digit figure. Guess I'll die.

The screen started to blink before a prompt appeared, select payment method. Ned gulped as he looked at the black card in his trembling and aching hand. It's now or never, it better be worth the money. Heh, well it is Evan's money. The last thought made it much easier for Ned to proceed.

Just as he had made the payment, Michelle reappeared and gleefully brought Ned into an elevator that was bound to the top floor. If there's only one doctor here? What is with the huge ass building and all these floors? Are rich people really that crazy? The doors opened on the 30th floor to show what seemed like a very comfortably decorated loft rather than a doctor's office. A man was looking at the tablet on the table at the far end of the room. He stood right up and walked towards the lift as it opened.

Even from a distance, Ned could see that the man had a very well-built physique, tall and muscular. The closer he got, the more in awe Ned was at his body, from the muscles bulging out from his rolled up sleeves to his handsomely chiseled face. Ned could not help himself from staring, unable to imagine such a man to even exist, it was simply too unfair.

"How are you doing Ned! I'm Dr Nilin, nice to meet you. It seems as though you're in quite a difficult situation! When you selected all the possible areas for treatment, and you say you've only been like this for less than a week?"

"Err... Yeah, hi Doctor. I had a crazy accident very recently and I really need to get well quick." Ned snapped himself out of eyeing the doctor from head to toe.

"There are some things you just shouldn't rush young fella, but you've come to the right place! It won't be easy for me haha, but I'll make sure you're running out those doors in no time. Well... actually, maybe it is going to take some time..." Dr Nilin said as he took over the handles from Michelle and slid his hands along Ned's shoulders.

The doctor helped Ned up to a bed beside the windows and lay him down, slapping on surgical gloves and warming up his arms. "Alright Ned, just try to relax and let your body's energy flow as smoothly as possible throughout your entire body."

Starting with his toes, Dr Nilin hovered his hands above Ned and slowly glided it up across his entire body, till he ended up to his brain. "It was a pretty bad accident huh? The damage is deep within the tissues and spread out almost entirely around your whole body. And your brain, it's not physically damaged, but the energies here are very congested and unhealthy."

"Wow doctor, you don't need any X-rays, or MRIs, or any devices? You just... move your hands around?" Ned asked, tracing every movement of his hands.

"Hahaha, very funny young guy. Those things can never see as clearly as I do. Have you seen a machine that can detect body energy? The key to our health and wellness is all within ourselves, you just need to let the body energy flow naturally and clear out all the blockages. Let's begin the treatment.=," Dr Nilin smiled before clamping down to the sides of Ned's head.
