Valerie was sitting in one of the seats in the Alphas' office.  Leam and Lucas were looking down at a map they had they placed down on the table.

"They could be from Bluemoon pack." Leam suggested and circled an area on the map. 

"No, because they went south in the woods," Lucas replied. "If anything it has to be in this area." He circled the south area. Valerie stands up from the seat she was in and walked over to look at the map.

"May I try?" She asks them. They look at each other and then back at her. "I'm gonna be the Luna." They split and she steps up to the map. She examines the map and picks up some pens from the table. She unclips the red and starts drawing pathways to different territories from theirs. "it doesn't matter which way they went into the woods. They could have done that to make it hard to guess which territory they are from." She uncaps a green pen and begins to make marks. Which the twins soon noticed it was how long it would take to run there from their territory. "this isn't exact but approximate time. Lucas, you mentioned that they went into the woods south? Nobody would have their pack run far unless they have some real problems. What packs do you have trouble with?"

"Nighthowler and Shadow pack." Lucas points at them and she flinches slightly as he said her old pack name. She crosses out all the other except for 3 territories. She did a bright neon circle around the Moonstone territory. 

"This is the pack that did it." She tapped the area. Leam and Lucas looked at her surprised. 

"Are you sure?" Lucas asks.

"Where did you learn that?" Leam asked at the same time.

"I recognized the light-colored wolf. Her name is Daisy Lacy. I saw her when I was with the Nighthowlers. She was a friend of mine. I don't know why she would try to kill me." She turns to Leam. "I read the books you gave me. The math was already mine but there were a few chapters about knowing where they came from. The attackers I mean." 

"Okay." Lucas and Leam nodded at each other as Valerie goes and sits back down.

"If they only knew what the real reason that I knew."

Lucas looks up at her with brows furrowed. Leam stares at the map with furrowed brows as well.

"What do you mean?" Leam asked furrowing his eyebrows further. Valerie looked up at them.

"Huh? I didn't say anything." She thought for a second and realized. "Oh, that's right when you claim me you can read and hear my thought right?" They nod and look at her waiting for her to tell them. "It isn't very important. Can we talk about another time?" Leam opened his mouth to protest but Lucas interrupts him quickly. 

"Of course. We don't want to force anything from you. Ain't that right Leam?" Lucas looks at the Leam who hesitates but slowly nods. Valerie could tell he wanted to know. Leam kinda perked up and she could tell he heard that. She was glad they weren't forcing her. "you can tell us whenever."

"It's not that I don't want to tell you it's just that I think this is more important. We can come back to this after we solve this right? So let's figure this out as soon as possible."

They all smile at each other as they gather around the map. They began to discuss the plan. Eventually, the beta male named Mike and female Beta named Jasmine to help plan out the meeting and if it comes to, battle plans.

"We will most likely have to surround the pack's land," Jasmine says as she circles around the pack's land with her finger.

"Yes, which wouldn't be too hard because we have a bigger pack than them right?" Valerie asked as she bites her top lip nervously. "But that means we don't have to surround the land. Most likely all the pack will be near the main house while the meeting happens. So we can just surround the main area." 

"Exactly. That's what I was thinking." Mike said and gave a small smile to her knowing the alphas is possessive. "So we can just surround that one area. You are gonna make a really good Luna." 

Valerie was sitting biting into a cold piece of bacon. They had been going over plans for the meeting trying to perfect the plan.  Valerie was tired with dark bags under her eyes from staying up late reading about the other packs and other stuff. Jasmine sits beside her. Jasmine was a very pretty werewolf. She had long black hair and light brown eyes. She sits beside Valerie tired as well because she has been helping Valerie while their mates slept. Sometimes they would sidetrack and talk about their mates, like how Mike snores too loud at night. Valerie doesn't have much to complain about except she feels shyer around her mates. 

Jasmine had become good friends when she came into the library late at night hearing Valerie rummaging through the books looking for important books. Jasmine turned the overhead light and Valerie froze with arms full of some books. She apologized for waking her and Jasmine just started helping her as Valerie took notes in her notebook and after that, they became best friends and study mates. 

"I'm exhausted. This is how Lucas and Leam when they pull all-nighters?" Valerie whispers to Jasmine. She just nods silently chewing slowly on the bacon. Valerie and Jasmine could barely register anything now. 

"Don't push yourself too hard Luna. We have been at this for 3 nights now." Valerie looks at Jasmine and sighs. No matter how many times she tells Jasmin to call her Valerie she still calls her Luna.

"I know, it's just I don't want them to be disappointed in me, you know? Out of all the beautiful werewolves, there are they got me. Someone who has many scars and a bad background story. Also not so pretty. I mean look at these." She shows the scars on her arm and the scars on her midsection from Raymon's blades and punishments. 

"What a sick bastard." Jasmine murmured.

"I-i even get scared when we are in bed. The mates and I. I get flashbacks and I get scared. When we begin to kiss and they go to unclothe me I get scared and have to force myself to remember that these are my mates and they would never hurt me." She pauses and looks at Jasmine. "You want to know what my favorite marks on my body are going to be?" She gave a grim smile. "Leam's and Lucas's claim mark."

Jasmine smiles at Valerie and squeezes her hand. "Let me share my story with you."
