Valerie wakes up to Leam nudging her and holding a tray of pancakes, orange juice, sausage, and bacon. She looks up at him through blurry eyes and rubs them. She sits up and leans against the headboard of the bed and he places the tray in her lap as he sits on the edge of the bed beside her.

"What's going on today that you don't want me to know, Leam?" She asks. He sighs, brushing hair out her eyes and she meets his with her startling green/brown eyes. 

"Lucas and I are going to meet someone. Someone that claims to have information on the pack that attacked us." She opens her mouth to say something but he quickly cuts her off. "You can't go. Lucas and I want you to stay here where you are safe."

"You wouldn't even know it was Moonstone Pack without me though!" She says and blows her wild hair.

"Please stay here. We heading out in a few minutes. Promise me will stay safe here Val." 

"Alright. I promise." She replies with her arms crossed. He goes to get up but she grabs his shirt. "I believe I should get something first." She looks at his lips and back at his eyes and bites her lips as she watches his eyes flutter to her lips. She leans in and he gives her a small and soft kiss and she smiles. 

"Lucas will come by to say goodbye as well." Leam walks out the door and Lucas walked past him through the doorway. 

"I'm sure Leam told you everything already?" She nods and finished her food. "Well did he tell you who it was?" 

"No, who is it?" She looks at him and he looks back.

"I'll tell you after we get back." 

"That's not fair!" She whines and he chuckles and kisses her forehead.

"Your cute when you act childish." He leaves her by herself in the room and she goes up to the window and watches them drive down the road. Now she was left with nothing but her thoughts.

She wandered around the house for a while but eventually grew bored. Then an idea hit her that she hasn't run in a while and that her mates never said anything about not leaving the mansion. She steps outside and the cold air hit her skin and she transformed into a wolf. She whined a little for it hurt more than usual due to her not doing it in a while because the nurses advised not to. She runs into the woods. It felt nice having wind flowing through her fur again. She slowed down seeing a stranger standing in the middle of her path. Eventually, she stopped seeing a rather handsome gentleman that you would see if you didn't have mates. His hair was black and in the back stopped before the nape of his neck. He wore a simple grey hoodie and was wearing ripped demi jeans. 

She sniffed the air it was filled with a scent she had never smelt before. She was looking at him from a crouched position and he had a handsome smirk on his face as he watched her.  She stood tall showing strength and dominance of the land. She transforms into human form and looks at him curiously. He walks up to her and she tenses ready to fight if she had to. As he gets closer she holds her fist up. His smiles falter for a second and then he begins to chuckle. 

"You're a tough one aren't you?" She glares at him as he suddenly appears upfront of her and gets a hold of her chin. "And rather beautiful I must say. Never seen one with your eyes. Quite like yours." She noticed his eyes were red. He realizes that and his eyes fades away revealing green eyes. She began having a flashback. Her laying in a puddle of blood and she freezes up. She began to cry and felt helpless.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" He lets her go and she stares at him with watery eyes surprised. "I didn't mean to scare you." He rubs the back of his neck nervously. "It's just I've never seen a werewolf with eyes like yours." She tucks her hair behind her ears and wipes her eyes.

"Who are you?" She demands.

"Whoa, I'm Alex, Prince of vampires. I came to see my two best friends. They are alphas of Mooncrest." He said and she just stared at him.

"You Leam and Lucas's best friend?" Val asks him more confused than ever.

"You know them? How do you know them?" She blushes.

"They are my mates. I have been here for almost a year now." She suddenly felt the need to throw up she runs to a tree trunk and throws up all over the bottom of it. When finishes she wipes her mouth. She has been feeling sick a lot but since she has been sleeping she hasn't much time to and when she was in warm water it would sooth the sickness. Then her mind begins to race. Wait, she has also been gaining tremendous weight and has been wearing her mates' bagger shirts to cover the fact, of course, Leam has already seen but didn't say anything. She wasn't that skinny before anyways. She has always been thicc and she wondered if it was because she had been bedridden but what if.. she was pregnant? That would be bad, really bad!

"Are you okay?" Alex asks and she jumps and spins around.

"Oh yes. I'm fine. I'm great actually! Um, my mates aren't home now but maybe come back later?"

"Well, actually they usually just let me come in the house.." He trails off. Suddenly an idea pops in her head. 

"Can you do me a favor? If you do this and don't tell anyone I will invite you in to wait." He agrees.

"Get me an at-home pregnancy test." His jaw slackens but leaves to get it. He comes back a few minutes later with a few pregnancy tests. 

"You know, for the future." He winks at her and she shivers a little.

"You are welcomed in until my mates arrive." He steps in and makes himself comfortable on the sofa. She goes up the stairs and goes into the bathroom. She read the instructions and sit on the toilet and pees on it.

"Now wait for ten minutes?" She read. "Ten minutes is a long time!" She says to herself. She hears a phone begin to ring in the office. She runs into the room and picks up the phone. 

"Hello?" She asks.

"Hey, Val." Lucas's voice came from the other end of the phone. "How is everything?"

"Oh, it fine." She said and lights up immediately hearing his voice. "Your friend Alex is here waiting for you."

"Alex? Wait really?" She hears some scuffling and argument and then hears Leam's voice. 

"Actually? He hasn't visited in a while." 

"We will be back home in a few, okay?"

"Okay." She says and she notices Alex come to stand in the doorway. 

"Bye," Leam says.

"Bye," Just as she pulls the phone away she hears 'Wait Val'! 

"Yeah?"

"We love you." She feels her face heat up. "I love you guys too. Bye," She sets the phone down and spins in the chair she was sitting in. She stands up and looks at Alex

"Can I get you anything?" 

He stays silent. She takes that as a sign he doesn't want to talk and went into the room bathroom again because it had been ten minutes. She picked it up and sees two lines. She reads the instructions again and again and two lines meant positive. She throws it in the trash and covers it with some toilet paper. She throws the extras and the box into the back of the cupboards and slams it shut. 

She steps out of the bathroom to see Alex standing there watching her. She steps sideways and his eyes follow her.

"Alex?" His hands slam on either side of her and she screams.

"You know its a shame." His eyes burn into hers and she swallows.

"What is?" She asks. 

"That you have mates' cause I find you attractive. I found you attractive before you even met them two!" He says.

"What? How could you? You just met me!" 

"True but I have been watching you." She looks at him and gathers her courage.

"Let me go! NOW!" He steps away from her. 

"They don't have to know." 

"There is nothing for them to need to know. You clearly don't know what a bond is like for werewolves. They never ever cheat on their mates' because only their mates can turn them on." Valerie walks out of the room and down the stairs leaving Alex staring at her back.
