We continued kissing for another rminute or two, before I pull away.

"I gotta call the pizza place." I whisper. Marc's forehead was pressed against mine and we were both still breathing heavily from our little makeout session.

"Okay." He says. "I'll take a big pepperoni pizza with extra cheese." He gave me one last peck on the lips before heading towards the classroom where our homecoming dance meeting was held. Before opening the door, he quickly turned around and gives me a wink.

I shake my head, smiling widely. I don't know how, but this boy was slowly but surely making his way into my heart and there was no way I could stop him.

I took another minute to steady my breathing and then returned to the classroom, too.

"There you are!" Marie says when she sees me. "So, we figured out a playlist for the DJ while you were gone."

"That's great." I say and made my way to the chair I previously sat on. Only now, it was occupied by Marc. He looks at me with one eyebrow raised. "Something wrong?"

I felt like Marc and I had become the new big attraction among the seniors, because I could feel all of their eyes on us. "Nope, everything's fine." I say and stand behind him. "Pizza will be here in 30."

We continue planning and before we knew it, the pizza was there. A few students went to pick it up and I went over to the desk I had put my bag on earlier to grab my water bottle. Meanwhile, Marie and the remaining students reorganized the tables so that we had a nice seating arrangement for lunch.

"You know I would've given you the chair back, right?" I hear Marc's voice whisper next to my ear. He was standing very close to me and I could feel his fingertips resting lightly on my waist.

"Stop it." I say quietly.

"Stop what?"

"We're in school!" I reply.

"No one's looking." I know his eyes are on me and that he actually doesn't know if someone's looking at us. Even though the only people in the room with us were Marie and his friends, we still had to be careful.

"I was okay with standing. I sat for like two hours before that." I say.

Marc's fingers started travelling up and down my waist. I loved the feeling, but I knew I had to stop it. So, I took a step to the side and looked at Marc.

He was pouting at me and I laughed because he looked so funny and adorable. "Come on, let's sit down."

The door opened and the students who picked up the pizza came in with a lot of pizza boxes in their hands. They put them all down on the tables and we started distributing the pizzas.

Marc sat down to my right. Everyone started cutting their pizza and talking to each other. I saw that Marie was having a heated discussion with Leo and Laura about whether or not the soccer team would win on Saturday and opposite from me, Finn, Lisa and Cooper were talking about some new action movie.

As I was taking a bite form my pizza, I felt a hand rest on my right thigh. I looked to my right and saw that Marc was looking at his pizza, but there was an obvious smile on his face.

I turned my attention back to my own food and started listening in on one of the many conversations going on around the table.

Slowly, Marc's fingers started travelling up and I felt chills all over my body. They went higher and higher, and I was scared that someone could notice that my breath was getting quicker. I put my own hand on Marc's and moved it back down. I heard him chuckle next to me and gave him an angry look. "Stop it." I hiss.

A couple minutes later, I felt Marc lean over.

"By the way, you still have my hoodie." He whispers in my ear.

I keep looking at my food. "Do you want me to give it back to you tomorrow?" I ask him.

"No."

Now, I turn my head. His face was only inches from mine and I was hoping that the others were occupied with their own conversations and did not notice our closeness.

"Why not? It's yours." I whisper.

Marc smiles at me. "But you look so much better in it. And it reminds you of me."

I smile back at him. "I guess you're right. I do look better in it than you. And it smells like you."

It still felt weird saying these things. Even though I have talked like this with men before, flirting with my student is still new.

"But... the smell will probably go away soon so..." Marc says with a low voice.

"So..." I say.

Marc moves hi lips to my ear. "That means you have to come back to my house soon to get a new one." He whispers, his lips touching my ear. Right before he removes his lips, they lightly touch the space below my ear.

Marc goes back to eating his pizza as if nothing happened and I quickly let my eyes wander over the whole group, seeing if anyone had noticed. Luckily, it seemed like everyone was too distracted.

An hour later, the meeting was done.

"Mae, don't forget to take the left over paper with you!" Marie says while the students were tidying up the room that had posters, flyers and decorations all over it.

My mom worked in an office and they kindly gave us a couple boxes full of paper which we used to print flyers for the dance. We ended up not using all of it, so I had to bring two boxes back to my parents' house so that my mom could return them.

"Oh thanks for reminding me! I'll drop them off at my parents' on my way home." I say and went over to the boxes. They were pretty heavy, so I had to carry one at a time outside to my car.

As the students made their way out, I took my bag and then picked up the first box.

"I'll take the other one." I hear someone say behind me. I look over and see Marc picking up the second box.

"Thank you."

We make our way out of the school and to the parking lot. As it was already late in the afternoon, my car was the only one left. Marie was in a hurry to get to a dinner, so she already left.

I unlock my car and open the trunk. After we put the boxes inside, I close it and look around the parking lot.

"How are you getting home? Didn't you come to school with your car?" I ask Marc.

"It's at the workshop, my mom dropped me off this morning on her way to work." He replies, taking a few steps closer to me.

"Ok, so do you want to-" I start, but I am cut off by Marc taking my face in his hands and kissing me. I put my hands on his waist, enjoying this moment because I knew there was no one around to see us.

After he pulls away, I look him in the eyes and smile. "Your hair is still sweaty." I say, running my hand through it.

"Yeah, I should really get in the shower." He laughs, before gently caressing my face.

"Yeah, you should." I agree. "Come on, I'll drive you home. We just have to stop at my parents' house to drop off the boxes on the way."

I make my way to the front of the car and see Marc doing the same. We both get inside and I start the car.

"I could get used to this, you know?" I hear Marc say next to me.

"What do you mean?" I ask him, my eyes on the mirror while I reverse out of the parking space.

"Sitting in the car with you. Driving home with you. Holding your hand."

"You're not holding my hand."

"You're right." Marc says and then takes my hand while I pulled onto the road.
