The next morning, the scent of Marc's hoodie that I wore to bed immediately made its way into my nose after I woke up. I smiled to myself and made my way out of bed. I felt energized and was looking forward to seeing him at school. I checked my phone and saw that I had a new message from Marie.

"Morning girl. Wanna grab a coffee before school starts?"

I looked at the time and saw that I had enough time, seeing as we both only had to be at school for fourth period.

"Sure. Meet you there in 20?" I replied to her. Then I asked Ella if she wanted to join as well. I'm sure Marie would love to see her again, too.

I made my way into the bathroom. Once I gathered all the things I needed, I slowly pulled the black fabric over my head before folding it and putting in on my shelf.

I stepped into the shower and turned on the hot water.

Once I was done, I got out and my eyes fell onto the hoodie once again. Taking the towel from its hook, I dried my body and put on some clean underwear. I made my way into my bedroom and grabbed some jeans and then started looking for a sweater. Nothing seemed to be good enough after feeling Marc's clothes on me, so I went back into the bathroom and quickly put it back on. His scent was still present and I loved how it seemed to embrace my hwole body.

I blow dried my hair and put on some light make up. After that, I packed my bag for the day, grabbed a jacket and my car keys and left.

Ten minutes later I arrived at Marie and I's favourite little coffee shop that was located right next to Barkley High.

I quickly made my way through the front door and looked around, trying to find either one of my friends.

"Mae, over here!" I heard someone shout from a corner of the shop. Both Ella and Marie were already seated at one of the round tables, with steaming mugs of coffee in front of them. I waved at them and pointed towards the storefront, signaling them that I would order myself a coffee before sitting down.

"Hello there dear. What would you like to have?" The elderly woman who owns the shop together with her sister asks me.

"Morning Kath, I'd like a caramel latte, please." I said without looking at the menu first. It was my favorite drink after all.

"Of course. That'll be 3,50."

I paid for my drink and made my way over to the girls.

"You look like you're in a good mood this morning." Ella says once I settled down.

"I do?"

"Yup, what's got you in such a good mood?" Marie asks, before taking a sip from her coffee.

"I- I don't know. I'm just feeling good." I say , but I cannot hide the big smile on my face.

"Oh come on. Nobody looks that happy for no reason!" my fellow teacher complains. "Let me guess... does it have to do something with lover boy?"

I choke on my coffee. "Shut up!" are the only two words I get out before coughing.

"Ha! So it has to do with him!" Ella says and I know there is no way I'm gonna get out of this. They are not going to stop until they know every single detail. The only problem is, I don't know if I want to share everything with them. Yes, they are my best friends and I know I can trust them. However, everything that happened with Marc still feels so fresh and I haven't even had time to really think about it myself.

"I just saw him yesterday. That's all." I say, my eyes focused on my coffee. The hot steam coming from it suddenly seems way more interesting than this conversation.

"You what?"

"What?"

I slowly looked up from my coffee, a shy smile making its way onto my face. My friends were looking at me with wide eyes and open mouths.

"It's honestly no big deal guys. Our sisters hung out again and I stayed there as well. That's it." I tried to sound as casual as possible. I didn't want to keep what happened between me and Marc a secret form them, but I knew that if I told them right here, right now, they would freak out and I don't need the attention of all the customers in the store on me.

"Tell us what you did!" Marie demanded. Clearly, she wasn't the type of person to beat around the bush.

"Nothing special. We talked, had a bonfire, played with the girls..."

"Seriously? That's all we get? Come on Mae, it's obvious you like him and from what we can tell, he likes you, too!" Ella says, a pout on her face.

Desperately trying to change the subject, I looked at my phone and saw that we had to leave for school soon. "Oh, look at the time. I think we gotta go Marie." I said.

I got up, grabbed my stuff and started walking out of the coffee shop. I could hear footsteps behind me and I was sure that my friends quickly followed me.

"Don't think you're off the hook, young lady!" Marie shouts behind me. Smiling, I turned around. "Well, I would've loved to keep talking with you guys, but I could not possible neglect my job, could I?"

Ella rolls her eyes and then said goodbye to Marie and I.

"Don't worry, Ella, I'll get more out of her at school! I have my methods!" Marie threatens, a devilish smile on her face.

This time I was the one rolling my eyes.

The school day went by rather quickly, and before I knew it, it was time for lunch. I went to the teachers' lounge and saw Marie sitting at our usual table.

"Hey you!" I greeted her while sitting down. I grabbed my water and fruit salat that I prepared last night and began eating.

"What's up?" Marie asks, while chewing on her sandwhich.

"Ewh, that's disgusting!" I say, but immediately follow that with a laugh because she looked so funny. Marie rolled her eyes.

"Any news on the lover boy?" My friend asks.

"Oh my god, shut up!" I hiss, afraid that any of the teachers might overhear. "Stop talking about it at school" Even though she did not metion his name, I was still extremely paranoid and thought someone could know who she was talking about.

"Chill, Mae." Marie says and got up to throw away the wrapper from her sandwhich.

While she was gone, I took a look at my schedule for the rest of the school day. I only had two lessons lef, which was a double English class with the seniors. Which meant Marc. Thinking about him was enough to send a smile to my face and I had also started to feel tht warm feeling in my stomach whenever >I thought of him. I knew exactly what that meant, because I also had that feeling when I started dating my ex-boyfriend. The fact that I was now feeling the exact same way about Marc was scary, but I already went too far with him than to stop it now. I couldn't ignore these feelings or tell him that we had to stop whatever was going on between us. I would not only lie to him, but also myself.

"I'm back!" Marie announces and sat down opposite from me again. "By the way, nice sweater. Didn't realize it this morning, but I think someone stole someone's clothes while they were at their house." She says and winks at me.

My eyes went wide and for a moment I was lost for words.

"That reminds me" Marie says "I have to tell Ella!" Her eyes went to her phone that was sitting on the table, next to her water bottle. Before I realized she was about to grab it and text Ella and tried to grab it before she could, but I was too late.

"Uh-uh, Mae you have to be quicker than that." Marie laughs while holding up the phone.

"I hate you guys." I mumble while taking my own phone out of my jacket.

It was quiet for a few minutes. I was scrolling through Instagram when Marie suddenly exclaimed "Ha!"

I looked up from my phone and asked her what was going on.

"Oh, just Ella saying she was also wondering why you wore a sweater that she had never seen this morning."

"It's honesty not a big deal. We were sitting outside and I was cold, so he got me one of his sweaters." I tried to justify myself.

"But you kept it! And you're wearing it to school!"

"I just... I was running late this morning and it was just... it was just there so I grabbed it and put it on. No big deal!" I said.

Marie smirks at me. "I don't think so."

"So what do you think?" I challenged her. Right after I said that, the bell rang signaling the end of lunch break.

We packed up our things and right before we left the teachers' lounge, Marie leans towards me and quietly says "I think you knew damn well what you were going to wear today and not just grabbed it. Even sitting a meter away from you I could smell that this sweater smells like his perfume. And I'm sure you enjoy it and that's why you're swearing the sweater!"

"Oh, shut up!" I say, before making my way to my classroom.
