HYUNJIN'S HOUSE
He sat there. On the floor on his bedroom. Leaning against his bed. Playing the guitar while also singing the song 'You belong with me' by Taylor Swift. (The lyrics are too relatable to not be in this book😩)

"Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find that what you're looking for has been here the whole time" he sang slowly in a deep voice

He met y/n at the age of 5. There families were great friends. But then, y/n's father left and slowly everything went downhill. Hyunjin's parents died when he was just ten. They were quite rich, so Hyunjin had his own house and car and everything.

Ever since the death of his parents, his only source of happiness was Y/n. The cute, talkative, little girl became his whole world. They grew up together too and Hyunjin began to know her really well.

In the process of all this, he never realized he fell in love. Until the day, she pranked him by saying she was moving away forever. That moment was when his heart stopped and he came into realization.

"F*ck, I think I'm in love"

"Can't you see...you belong with me~" he ended

"Oh god, I'm going to go crazy singing songs in this house all alone all day. I need some coffee" he spoke frustratedly

The coffee was already finished in his house, so he went out in his expensive ass car to a nearby cafe, The Snug Cup, instead. The weather was cool and breezy with grey clouds indicating it would rain soon. It was perfect to match Hyunjin's mood.

The traffic light turned red and he was quite mad. He hit the steering wheel of the car and ran his hand through his hair. He drove his car across the red light not bothering for it to turn green.

AT LISA'S HOUSE
Lisa giggled happily with Y/n who just arrived after the driver dropped her off. Y/n had been begging her brothers to let her go to Lisa's house. She knew Yoongi could never say no to her or scold her, so she played her beautiful acting skills and irresistible puppy eyes to get him to say yes.

"I'm so glad you're here! We haven't hung out in ages!" Lisa spoke

"We just met yesterday at school-"

"Anyways, this is the perfect weather for us to drink hot chocolate!" Lisa spoke

"Wait Omg! I love hot chocolate, we should definitely make some come on to the kitchen" y/n spoke, dragging Lisa with her

They both opened the cabinet with happy smiling faces only to realize there was no milk left.

"AISH!" Lisa whined

"Let's go to a cafe then, that popular one called, The Snug Cup, come on!!!" y/n pleaded

"Alright. I'll get my coat wait here" Lisa spoke, running upstairs exhilarated

AT THE SNUG CUP CAFE
Hyunjin walked in to the cafe and ordered a strong black coffee because he needed energy to stay awake. While waiting around his eyes widened to see him.

Jihun.

With his ex.

Kissing each other.

He was so disgusted by them both and VERY furious. He wanted to go ahead and punch Jihun again, not even caring he'd make a scene. Before he could do that, the cafe door opened.

"Oh no..." he spoke

Lisa walked in with Y/n.

Lisa's eyes saw Jihun and then met with Hyunjin's. Hyunjin's eyes also met with Lisa, signaling something to her. But it was too late. Y/n saw Jihun.

Her heart was shattered apart and thrown into pieces. The color on her face went pale. Her eyes couldn't believe it, they were fixed to that spot. She wasn't even moving. Her breathing hitched. She wanted to cry but no tears came out. There were no more tears left to cry.

Lisa cupped y/n's face with a sad expression.

"Y/n, it's okay. I'm here for you. It's gonna be fine okay?! Baby respond" she spoke

She didn't respond nor move. Hyunjin left everything behind and went running to y/n.

"Y/n I'm so sorry you had to witness that...please respond. Look at me, look at my eyes. It's gonna be alright" he spoke desperately

For some reason, Hyunjin felt physical pain seeing Y/n hurt. He wanted to protect her and be there for her in every hard moment like she was in their childhood.

Y/n removed Lisa's hands from her face and walked past Hyunjin. Straight to Jihun's table. Jihun got up from his table as soon as he saw Y/n.

"Babe this isn't what it looks lik-"

"ENOUGH. I do the talking from here" y/n spoke with a straight pale face

"Everyone was right. Hyunjin, Lisa, my brothers...everyone. I'm truly dumb and gullible. I was blinded by love and ignored all the signs. That too purposely. I didn't want to hear ANYTHING against YOU because I didn't want to lose you. I was insecure and kept on convincing myself that you only love me"

"I DIDN'T WANT ANYONE BETTER" y/n shouted a bit, making the customers in the cafe turn to them

"Y/n I'm-"

"SAVE IT! I DON'T NEED YOUR FREAKING EXCUSES, I fought so many damn times with my friends to defend you now I realize they were always right. You freaking disrespected your family and have so many exes. You always put yourself first. You even signed autographs when I was in danger?!"

"Please-"

"No enough. Just stop. I don't want to hear anything from you with the disgusting mouth of yours. We're done."

Before anyone could say anything more, the door of the cafe burst open, revealing the police.

"What in the world is going on?!" Lisa spoke totally confused

The police stood in front of Jihun's table. Hyunjin pulled y/n into his arms away from the scene.

"Mr. Kang Jihun. You are under arrest for being involved in a drug scandal, trafficking drugs illegally and selling them as well"

"Oh my gosh" Lisa gasped

"I knew it. He was a bad person from the start." Hyunjin spoke with a bitter face

Y/n broke out of Hyunjin's grip and ran out of the cafe ignoring all the shouts behind her. She didn't want to be in the same place as that cheater. That drug seller. Not even breathe the same air as him.

It was raining heavily. She kept on running and running and running. Not even stopping to breathe. She fell down on the pavement, bruising her knee. Hearing hyunjin's voice behind her, she cried even more.

He chased after her even though it was raining.

She cried because she didn't deserve him. He always cared from day one. She ignored all that. She fought with him and he was right during the fight about Jihun always. She couldn't even bare to look him in the eyes now.

"Y/n!! Gosh finally you stopped running. Please, please, please be okay!" Hyunjin begged her

"I don't deserve you! You always cared for me and I never cared. You warned me, I didn't care. You wanted to protect me from getting hurt, but I didn't care. I truly don't deserve you! Please go away" she cried

"No listen to me y/n. Look at me right now" he spoke in a deep yet demanding voice

She looked up with her glossy eyes and cerise cheeks that broke his heart.

"Don't ever say that. I know you too well to not know you were scared of losing him just because of your insecurities. Like I said before, you will find someone better. Much better than that douchebag of a cheater"

'I don't know what I'd do without you" y/n spoke

He hugged her saying nothing more. She hugged back. They didn't need words to communicate.

Lisa parked the car beside the road and smiled seeing her two friends, made up again. She really hoped Hyunjin would be the one for y/n. Nobody knew but everyday from the day they fought, Hyunjin kept texting Lisa asking her how y/n was, if she ate, if she was sad and everything about her.

It was raining heavily making her gasp in realization. She grabbed a umbrella and ran out of the car to cover them both.

"Come inside the car, quick! I got our hot chocolates to warm you up" she spoke

They went inside the car with Lisa. Y/n started sneezing and coughing. Hyunjin as well.

"Hyunjin! Why did you chase after me, now you're sick" y/n said

"Look whose talking. You are sick as well and even worse than me" he spoke

"And uhm y/n, you might want to let your phone stay on silent for now..." Lisa spoke

"Why?" Y/n asked

"We went out at 5pm and now it's almost 7pm. The phone calls from your brothers are nonstop"

"Don't answer right now. You are in no state to argue with them or explain anything. You simply can't take stress right now. I'll explain, you just rest" hyunjin spoke

"What happened in the cafe...with the police" y/n asked

"They arrested him for his illegal act. You don't need to worry anymore" hyunjin spoke smiling

Y/n smiled unknowingly. What was this feeling....?
