I couldn't stop my feet from tapping against the floor of the car. I felt as if all the courage I had getting out of the house had just flown out of the window in the drive over to the supermarket. I was definitely nervous and instead of David trying to talk me out of it he was just seated on the driver's side chuckling to himself. I didn't even have the energy to ask him to stop. Why did I agree to this? Oh yeah it seemed like such a good idea at the time but right now am not sure anymore. I mean I was sure it's just that... I don't know. Even I'm not sure why I was freaking out.

I honestly had nothing to worry about. Not to brag or blow my own home but I knew I was beautiful so I wasn't worried about them disliking me for my looks. I was a successful young woman who came from a reputable family so why was I still freaking out.

"Okay enough of this. Tiny please calm down. You were okay thirty minutes ago." David demanded placing his hand on my knee to stop my insistent tapping.

I turned to look at him with a glare on my face. He wasn't helping at all.

"Baby they'll love you. I've never seen you scared about anything since I met you. Think of this like another business meeting. Would you go looking all scared and unsure of yourself?" He asked me turning to look at me for a second before he turned to the road.

"No, I'd be confident and brave." I replied.

"Good so stop freaking out. After all I'm here and I approve." He expressed and I smiled.

"I really did win the jackpot when it came to you." I said looking at him fondly.

"And don't you forget it." He said jokingly and we both chuckled.

"Cocky much. Now exit here please. We need to do a little shopping." I said feeling excited.

"Knowing you it's not as little as you're putting it out to be." He replied doubtfully and I didn't even bother arguing his point because he was right.

He pulled up in front of a supermarket and we both excited the car before he locked it behind him. David walked towards me and wrapped his hand around my shoulder pulling me closer to him and kissing my forehead. I almost melted into the parking lot concrete.

I liked the fact that he wasn't afraid of flaunting our relationship in public. I was definitely all for PDA. I was dating for the first time in my life with the man of my dreams. They could print it in billboards for all I care. I was finally happy. What do the kids call it nowadays? Oh yes, I was cuffed.

"Okay baby go nuts." He instructed once we entered the supermarket and I laughed.

"Like I need your permission but thank you. Don't say I didn't warn you." I responded before grabbing the biggest trolley they had and pushing it towards him and grabbing one for myself too.

He looked at me perplexed but didn't say anything. It's not like his words would have affected me anyway. And nuts I went.

An hour later we emerged from the supermarket carrying so many bags we needed to be helped out by the staff. David unlocked the car and we filled the trunk as well as the backseat. I really had overdone it but I honestly didn't care. I had a family to impress. I tipped the ones who helped us before getting into the car joining David who was already sitting behind the wheel.

I buckled up but noticed we didn't move so I turned to face David who was already staring at me with a look I could quite decipher in his face.

"Why are you looking at me like that? You asked me to go nuts and nuts I went." I said brushing him off.

"I'm trying to find the right words but I can't seem to come up with anything." He replied shaking his head in disbelief.

"Okay good then drive. I hope you told them we're going because it's lunch time and am hungry." I replied feeling famished.

I didn't finish my breakfast and after all that running around I could definitely eat. David just shook his head at me before starting the car and reversing out of the parking lot and merging into traffic.

"I did inform them we were coming otherwise my mom would have had my head if we surprised her."He said making me laugh at the sight of David with all his size being hit by a woman half his size.

"I have one question though. How did you know what to buy for everyone when I didn't tell you their ages?" He asked eyeing me curiously.

"The same way I got you're number without asking you for it." I replied vaguely hoping he wouldn't feel offended that I picked around in his life.

Surprisingly enough he chuckled and I looked at him as if he'd grown another head. That's not the reaction of someone who just found out their girlfriend went digging around in his life.

"Don't look at me like that. You said it yourself, you always get what you want so there is no need for me to throw a fit about this. A part of me is actually flattered you took time to look me up." He explained.

"I swear you get more and more perfect in eyes." I replied looking at him fondly.

I meant what I said. It's as if all the stereotypes of men I had come across ended with David. He was definitely different and I loved that about him.

"Well am not perfect." He replied with a small frown on his face.

"Does David have skeletons in his closet?" I asked with a mocking laugh when his expression only became darker I became a little worried.

"Let's just say I've not always been this good. I've been through some rough shit. My life is completely different now but I wouldn't have said that a few years ago." He explained and for the first time I saw the vulnerable side of David.

I put my hand behind his neck caressing him

"Well I don't care about your past, I only care about the present with you." I said leaning in to kiss his cheek.

He turned to look at me with a grateful smile that I returned with one of my own. We all had our pasts some more grotesque than others but as long as we pulled ourselves up then it didn't matter. I actually wasn't that surprised that David had a rougher past, most people did but the fact that he had turned his life around made me see him in a different light. He was a good man, he had a great job that he did well at and he took care of his familiar. What more could I ask for in a man? A bonus for me was that he was good looking with a body to die for. If you ask me I'd say I won the jackpot when it came to him.

"Ready or not we're here." David announced and I looked outside to see we were parked outside a four storied apartment building.

I was so lost in thought I had spaced out the whole drive here. I took deep calming breaths because I was already here and there was no need to start freaking out.

The building we were parked in front of was actually nice and looked well kept. There wasn't that much of a parking space but my jeep definitely stood out among the cars parked they. They weren't beat or anything but they were just not as luxurious. There were clothes hang on some balconies and water running down a burst pipe. There was loud music coming from some houses and people walking around their business. Most stopped to look at the weirdly expensive car parked out front. I definitely should have chosen a simpler car. Where would I get one though? Maybe rent one. The other,, buildings looked quite similar some more worn than others but it was a pretty good neighborhood. It looked lively with people selling vegetables in stalls at the front of some building and people hawking different things. I wonder how not would have felt growing up in such a neighborhood. I definitely would have more friends, I think. I turned my wandering gaze back to David who seemed to be texting someone before putting his phone back in his pocket.

"Telling your other girlfriend to clear out before I arrive there." I teased needing a distraction from my thoughts.

"Yeah and our two kids too." He replied with a straight face and I was conflicted if he was joking or not.

Many guys my age had baby mama's somewhere and I just didn't know if David was in that category as well.

"Calm down Tiny I'm joking. I'm only seeing one girl right now and that's you." He said tweaking my nose.

I rubbed my nose to get rid of the irritation before smacking David on the arm.

"That wasn't a good joke. You may be seeing me but it doesn't mean you don't have a baby mama somewhere." I replied.

"Well rest assured I don't have a baby mama. I'm not that adventurous." He replied and I instantly felt relieved.

I don't know what I would have done if David had a kid with another woman. I don't think I would have stopped seeing him but that depended if they were still together or not. Mistakes happen and I have no right to judge him for it. Well crisis averted we can move on to the issue at hand, meeting his family.

I got out of the car David did the same and we rounded to the back if the car and he opened the trunk.

"How do we carry all these upstairs?" I asked eyeing the many bags we had.

"You should have thought of that before you bought the whole supermarket." He chided.

"Not all of it just a little section. You criticizing me doesn't solve the carrying problem though." I replied.

"I know. I just called my siblings down to come help and here they come." He said looking behind me.

I turned around to find two boys and a little girl walking towards us. I took a deep breath and took a subtle step back towards David who put a comforting hand on my waist.

I think David had already talked to them about how to act around me because they all just came and stood in a straight line in front of us from oldest to youngest.

"Baby these are my siblings. Brian is nineteen and in college, Collins is sixteen and I'm his last year of high school and then last but not least Elena who is Eleven and still in primary school." He said introducing them one by one and they all gave me shy smiles and waves.

Brian looked like the exact replica of David just without as much muscle and the beard. He was tall, handsome with a muscular build and a hint of mischief in his gaze. Collins was a litter shorter than his brothers around five foot eight. He had young youthful features and definitely looked innocent, I hoped. Elena was shorter than me at around four feet which I was grateful for. I didn't want to be shorter than my man's thirteen year old. Seeing her brother's though she would become taller. She was beautiful with big brown eyes and chubby cheeks. She looked adorable.

"She's so small, no wonder you call her tiny. Are you sure you're old enough to be dating this old man?" Brian asked and Collins elbowed him to hit him up and I just blushed.

Looks like everyone noticed my height seeing as David was evidently taller than me.

"Brian we talked about this." David said in a warning tone.

"What am just being honest. She's definitely tiny." He said still looking at me in shock.

"I'm twenty four so I'm definitely old enough to be dating him." I replied speaking for the first time.

"Really?? You look eighteen." Collins spoke up agreeing with his brother .

"Well I am definitely not eighteen but thank you. Ill take that as a compliment." I replied with a chuckle.

"I cannot keep it in anymore. OMG it's really you. I'm so happy to finally meet you. When David said he was dating you I didn't believe but now you're finally here in person. Can I hug you? You know what I don't care I'll just go for it." And before I could react to Elenas rambling she launched herself at me wrapping her hands around my waist.

Thankful David was behind me so he me caught me before we fell. I hesitated for a few moments before I hugged her back. I looked at the three brothers quizzically wondering what was happening and they all laughed.

"Elena recently discovered fashion magazines and you became her favorite fashion designer." Brian explained and I nodded in understanding.

"It's nice to meet you Elena." I replied and she just nodded not letting me go making me chuckle.

"Okay that's enough we need to go upstairs before mom comes downstairs and drags us up by our ears." David informed and motioned for Collins to get Elena off me which she wasn't very enthusiastic about but he still managed to.

"Everyone grab a bag or three. As much as you can carry." David announced opening the back seat door.

"Did you guys shop for the whole building or what?" Brian asked while they all stared at all the shopping bags.

"Blame this one not me." David replied pointing and accusing finger at me.

I stuck out my tongue at him unable to defend myself. I guess I had gone a little overboard but I didn't regret buying all of this stuff.

Putting in our best efforts we were able able to carry all twelve shopping bags inside and up two flights of stairs. I guess this places didn't invest in elevators because it would have been a huge help in that situation.

"Honey am hooome."Brian announced in a singsong voice as soon as they opened the door to their place so we could all get in.

I snickered at that knowing he was referring to his mom while everyone else rolled their eyes meaning they we used to his shenanigans. We pilled in removing our shoes by the door. The siblings all walked in and I stood by the door awkwardly taking everything in with two shopping bags in my arms.

This was clearly a very well kept home. Everything was so neat and in place it was a shock they actually had three full grown men living here too. As far as I could see there was a living room with an open plan kitchen and a hallway to the far end wich I assumed led up to the bedrooms.

The living room was huge with three couches and one love seat all facing a huge TV. There were two wooden and one glass tables all with beautiful placemats. The curtains were drawn to allow natural light in making the place look even more beautiful. There were photo frames on the the wall of the whole family from when they were little kids to now. There were a few with an older man who I assumed was David's dad. I knew he had passed year ago after Elena was born but I didn't know the details surrounding his death. David did share my pain of losing a father figure, guess we had that in common.

"Hey why are you standing there, come on in we don't bite." Collins called from inside the kitchen where everyone else was unpacking the bags and looking for places to put it.

I smiled at him before joining them and placing my bags on the small table in there. I looked around the kitchen and it was small but tidy with a four part has cooker with an attached oven, a fridge, microwave and toaster. It had cabinets at the top and bottom. It was small, cute and neat like the rest of the house. Well what I could see at least.

I could see something cooking in the cooker but there was no one tending to it. I wonder where the lady of the house house was.

"Is this what I think it is?" Collins shouted excitedly holding up the PS4 game console I'd bought.

It had been a little pricey but so worth it seeing the look on his face.

"Oh man. You really got a perfect one bro." Brian said with a smile clearly as entranced as his brother and I smiled looking at David shyly.

"I know."He replied with giving me a wink making me melt.

"Thanks Anisha."Collins said gratefully walking towards the living room with the box in his hands looking at it like a lovestruck fool.

Boys and their toys.

"You're welcome." I replied.

"If he doesn't marry you I will." Brian said kissing my cheek and giving me a side hug.

"Hands off my woman." David warned pulling his brother off me and taking me into his arms making me laugh and swoon at the same time.

Brian lifted his hands in surrender and joined his brother in the living too room. Everything else forgotten the two brothers connected it to the entertainment system in the living room to try it out.

"What did I get?" Elena asked looking through the bags to look for something that she would like.

It had been tricky finding a gift for such a young girl and with no help from her brother but I had figured it out. I rustled through a few bags until I found the right one and grabbed her gift.

"How about this?" I said handing her an IPad.

When she just stared at me without taking it, I feared I had gotten it all wrong. Then tears started appearing at the corner of her eyes and I knew I had really messed it up. But then she launched herself at me hugging me tight as she whispered thank you over and over again. A smile graced my lips as I hugged her back and kissed the top of her head. David gave me a thumbs up returning my smile.

"What is going on here? Did you guys rob a supermarket?" A voice asked behind us and Elena pulled away from me.

That voice could only belong to one person.

"Mom look what Anisha got me." Elena announced excitedly as she took the iPad box from my hands to show it to her mom.

I turned around and came face to face with an older female version of David. She was short slightly taller than me with dark beautiful skin and Elena's big brown eyes. She had a slim build and was dressed in a floral dress and an apron over it. Her hair was cut short and she had no make up on but she was a natural beauty, definitely no make up needed. One thing about her stood out though, half of her left hand was missing.

My body froze cold as soon as I saw that and I felt horrible. Oh My God! No wonder David was so pissed when I faked my hand getting amputated. I was definitely a terrible person. How could I have been so insensitive? It was a wonder David didn't hate me.

I felt an arm snake itself around my waist and I was pulled into a hard chest. Please don't hate me David, im. so sorry.

"Mom this is Tiny or commonly known as Anisha, my girlfriend." David introduced and his mother beamed.

"Its a pleasure to meet you ma'am. I've heard so my about you." I replied holding out my hand for a shake still feeling a little shaken on what I had discovered.

She ignored it and instead pulled me in for a hug. Looks like the ladies in this house were huggers. I hugged her back because it would be rude not to no matter how shocked I was.

"Call me Sarah. It's nice to meet the girl who will take one of my sons of this house." She said when we pulled apart from the hug.

"Mooom." David sprawled sounding like a child making me laugh.

"What I'm being honest." She replied with a shrug "Welcome dear. I apologize for the mess, I was just in the middle of making lunch. Why don't you make yourself comfortable while I get it done. David show her around." She instructed.

There was definitely no mess apart from the one created by all the shopping I'd brought but I nodded nonetheless.

"Okay." I replied shortly.

"Elena put that gadget down and help me with all this shopping, you'll play around later. You too boys. Oh My, you really did bring the whole store didn't you. Thanks a lot dear, with how much this boy's eat I won't even complain but be thankful." She said and I chuckled.

"My pleasure." I said with a nod.

Everyone groaned at their mothers instructions but with a glare from her all gadgets were dropped and they got up to help. Sarah did have power over them an I liked that. Raising four kids on your own definitely required you to have some sort of backbone.

"You owe me a tour." I requested David.

I knew there wasn't much to see but I really needed some time alone
