I was at home going through some designs for a collection I wanted to release when there was a knock at the door. I would have gone to get it but George was in the living room watching rugby so he'd do it. He lived next door to me but he said his TV was broken so he had to use mine. He was probably lying just to find an excuse to be with me. I wasn't exactly dressed for company but it was my house so my navy shorts and matching top would have to do.

"Where is she?"A loud voice shouted and I felt like crawling under my desk to hide.

It had been a few days since I ditched the girls at the club and I had been ignoring their calls and texts. Looks like Kimberly finally got fed up and came to confront me. I hoped George would tell her I wasn't in but knowing that old man, it was like waiting for rain in a desert.

"She's in her work room." He replied.

See, I told you. Traitor.

"Nisha don't you dare run because I will catch you." Kim screeched.

I heard her heels clicking toward me in a fast pace. The door opened with a bang and I hid behind one of my mannequins. I knew it was useless but what if she came in throwing stuff. I needed to protect myself.

"I can see you Nisha. You're not hiding." Kim said in a bored tone.

"Yes I am." I whispered.

"No you're not. Now get away from the mannequin. I need to exchange some not so nice words with you." She replied.

I huffed in frustration before I revealed my whole body. Kim looked fabulous as always dressed in a very short jean skirt paired with a white tube top and six inch strapped heels. She wore a bob wig that framed her face perfectly and her make up was flawless. She was carrying a huge purse that could easily carry a whole weeks worth of outfits in it. It probably had an extra outfit or two in it. Kim always said that a lady always had to be prepared with an extra outfit in case of anything.

"You look nice Kim. I like the shoes and the bag." I complimented her with a smile.

"Thank you so much. They were actually a gift from one of dad's business partners." She replied proudly before she saw the smile on my face and hers dropped. "I see right through you Anisha. Now why did you ditch us and why have you been ignoring our calls and texts?"She screeched.

I decided to tell the truth mixed with a little lie and end it with a guilty talk to get myself out of her scrutiny.

"I got hurt that night at the club and I had to leave. I knew if I told you guys you would want to leave with me and I couldn't do that to you on your birthday. I ignored your calls because I knew you would feel guilty about not being there for me when I got hurt." I explained lifting my bandaged hands to show her proof that I wasn't lying.

"Oh you poor baby I'm so sorry. What happened?" Kim asked pulling me into a hug as her facial expression changed from angry to concerned.

"Nothing I just fell and scrapped my knees." I replied hugging her back.

I didn't need to dish out my whole life to Kim. She would take it apart analyzing it and I didn't want that. I was a little stressed that I hadn't found a way to get my David's number so I was burying myself into work to distract myself. I could have gone to the club again but I didn't know his schedule and I didn't want to seem desperate.

"I'm glad you're okay now. Are you sure it wasn't one of the patrons or workers who hurt you? I can tell my brother and he will deal with them." Kim suggested.

Kimberly's brother of course! Why didn't I think of that? I could be such a fool sometimes. I could get David's number from his boss.

"No it's okay but speaking of brothers can I get Tyler's number?" I requested.

"Why?" Kim asked eyeing curiously.

"Nothing. I had it then I lost it. I just want it in case I ever need one of those rooms at the club without going directly through management." I said hoping that explanation would suffice.

I would never use those rooms. Even my corpse would never ever be found there. I just needed a reason enough for Kim to give me his number without anymore questions.

"You get it girl. Give me you phone I'll key it in for you." Kim said excitedly as I gave her my phone.

She saved his number and gave me back my phone.

"You staying?" I asked hoping she would say no.

"Nope. I actually have to leave, I have a I photoshoot in thirty minutes around here but I had to stop by first. I'm glad you're okay though. Take care girl. See you soon." She said kissing my cheeks and leaving.

I didn't even get to reply because she was already out the door.

I waited to hear the front door close before I quickly dialed Tyler's number. He picked up on the third ring.

"Hey Tyler it's Anisha." I greeted.

"Nisha. It's be so long. What's up? Did my sister get into trouble again?" He asked.

I softly laughed at that. Tyler had bailed Kim out of trouble so many times I think he was used to it.

"No everything's cool. I just need a favor from you. You can't say no Tyler. You owe me." I demanded.

It was true that he did owe me. Last year during his girlfriends birthday Tyler had spilled wine on her dress before she got to wear it. Luckily it was one of my designs so I had gotten him a replacement quickly before his girlfriend noticed. The wine stain wouldn't have been a problem except that he and his girlfriend were on a cleanse and he wasn't supposed to be drinking alcohol.

"No need to blackmail me kid. Anything for my sisters best friend. How can I help?" He asked.

"First don't call me kid. Your only two years older than me and second I need a way to contact one of your bouncers." I replied.

"I have many clubs sweetheart and a lot of bouncers who work for me. Do you think you can narrow it down for me?" He inquired.

"His name is David and he works at the club where your sister and I go often. I can't remember the name." I explained.

I really couldn't remember the name of the club. I had never bothered to look at the sign.

"Say no more. I know who you're talking about. What do you need his number for?" He asked curiously.

I wasn't going to tell him anything. If I did then it would become national gossip through his sister.

"Just get me the number within the hour Tyler. I have a lot of dirt on you. Remember your parents engagement party what you did to that....." I started and he cut me off with a nervous chuckle.

"Okay kid you win. Ill send you his info within the next one hour." He replied.

"Good. Have a nice day Tyler. Bye bye." I said then hung up.

I wanted to squeal out loud in excitement but I held myself back deciding to wait for when I would actually received the number. David probably thought I was joking that night and had forgotten about him but he was so wrong. I had been dreaming constantly about him imagining of a thousand possible futures with him. There was no way I could easily forget such a guy. He was Gods gift to all woman kind with his body, looks, manners and voice. I had to find a way to worm myself into his heart and stay there forever. I just hoped he hadn't forgotten about me so soon. It would be harder to get to know him if I was already out of his mind.

I continued working as I waited for Tyler to text me what I needed. The designs I was working on were for kids and it was my first time doing something like that. All my designs were in Ankara and other African prints. I wanted to be unique and remind people of our heritage via the way we dressed. It would be my first time working with kids and I was both excited and nervous. It was hard designing for people under twelve but I would make it work.

My phone pinged with a message while I was stitching a hemline. I was in such a hurry to reach it that I pricked myself. I quickly put the bleeding finger in my mouth and reached for my phone. Tyler had sent me all the information he had on David which was quite a lot. Looks like Tyler did do his homework when it came to his employees.

David lived with his mom and three siblings in an apartment on the outskirts of town. He was twenty six years old and had a bachelor's degree in Finance. I wondered why a guy with such high accolades worked as a bouncer. The information I got had his email, phone number and even his work schedule. Good boy Tyler. You did me a solid. Your secrets are safe with me.

I sent Tyler a quick thank you before I quickly made myself comfortable on the sofa in the workroom and dialed David's number. I knew he wasn't at work so unless he had a second job he was supposed to be free.

"Hello." His deep voice answered and I melted into the seat.

That voice made goosebumps appear all over my body and a shiver travel down my spine. The things he could make me do by just using that voice, oh Lord forgive me.

"Who is this?" He asked again and I realized I hadn't talked.

"It's me." I replied simply. I wanted to see if he'd recognize me from my voice.

"Me who?" He asked rudely and I quickly sat up.

"Don't tell me you've already forgotten me Mr. Giant. Am I really that dispensable?" I asked in a disappointed tone.

I heard him chuckle before he replied "Miss. Tiny. I was hoping you had forgotten all about me."

"I told you I'd find a way and I did." I replied excitedly because he remembered me.

"Took you long enough." He said lowly.

I didn't think I was meant to hear that but I did.

"Did you actually miss me?" I asked in a teasing tone.

"You wish tiny girl. Now what do you want? I'm in the middle of my work out. " He asked and my mind did a 180 degree turn on the mention of the man working out.

I imagined him shirtless and sweaty with his arms bulging as he lifted weights. Maybe I did need some male attention as Kim always suggested. Would David be willing to offer his services? Just the thought of that made my lady parts tingle.

"Yoh tiny girl, you still there?" David called out and I quickly came back to reality.

Time to put my plan in action. It was definitely stupid but I wasn't very creative when it came to lying so it had been the only thing I thought of.

"Yeah sorry. I'm still here. I have some bad news. The doctors said one of my hands got terribly infected and I need surgery as soon as possible or I might risk amputation." I said in a serious tone.

There was silence on the other end of the line and I thought he had hang up. I checked to see that the call was still on. Then I heard him breath out slowly.

"I'm really sorry Anisha. Are you okay?" He asked me softly.

Okay first of all I had joking but he had taken me seriously. I didn't think it would actually work. I thought he'd call me on my bluff, we'd laugh about it before starting a conversation that would lead me to invite him to hang out.

Second he had called me by my full name. My name had never sounded sexier coming from someone's lips. He had also used the softest tone on me and I liked that a lot. I decided to play the situation to my advantage.

I sniffed a little to make it sound like I was crying "Uumh! Yes I'm going to be okay but I need a favor."

"Anything. Just mention it." He replied his voice even softer.

"I saw the doctor yesterday and he had given me a few hours to think about it. I don't want to loose my arm or die so I have to get the surgery. I need to go to the hospital and my driver had a family emergency. Do you think you can maybe pick me up and drive me to the hospital?" I requested adding a few more sniffles to sell my story.

Even I couldn't buy the terrible story I was trying to sell him but maybe he would. It had so many loopholes in it. I couldn't believe how fast I was coming up with the lies. I never lied because I hated liars myself but I had to find a way to get David to my place.

"Can't you get a taxi or an uber?" He asked.

"And get my business all over the Internet. No thanks. Ill send you my address and you can take an uber here. We can use my car to drive to the hospital." I explained.

"Oh okay. Ill be there as soon as I can." He said quickly and I heard shuffling.

"I'll be waiting." I replied and hang up.

I made sure to hang up the call before I squealed out loud. I knew I was a terrible person for using that as an excuse to hang out with David but he wasn't the kind of guy to drop everything just to hang out with a girl. I had to play the biggest card I had and it was to play sick.

I'm not in any way making fun of all those people who loose limbs in accidents or sickness. My sympathies goes out to all victims of amputation and those who undergo different surgeries. I'm sure it's not easy to live without a part of your body.

It was a silly excuse and as soon as David arrived I would apologize quickly but I needed him to come to me first. May the heavens forgive me.

I quickly texted David my address before I going to my bedroom to shower and get dressed. My day was looking up and it was going to be so much fun.
