"She is the prettiest girl in this world."

"I am afraid my friend you haven't that much experience." I teased.

"Don't make a joke. OK!" Irritated Akash replied.

"OK."

"I agree, she is a bit healthy but good by her heart."

"Really." I nodded.

"Her beautiful long hairs, pink rose soft lips, big eyes and......."

"Come on. Leave explaining her beauty." I put a check.

What else could I do? I was being fascinated. She was my classmate too.

Akash, my friend; we studied together from class VI to class XII. During examinations of Class XI, there was the marriage of his elder sister. Therefore he was very busy with his guests and other works and simultaneously his studies were also important. He requested me whether he could have a group study with me.

"Group study? Are you serious?" I asked.

"Yes, I am."

"Well, you know, we won't study. Rather the gossips' study would be our whole sole area of discussion."

"Then who should I look at?"

"Not to worry about that. I'm here."

He smiled and said, "Thanks, brother."

"No need of thanks, dear. No formalities."

And I was not wrong. In preparatory holidays, we adopted a new fashion of waking up and studying the whole night or trying to show at least in my lawn under the open sky. He was in so-called teenage love with Mitali of our class and would discuss her for hours. Of course, I also had a keen interest in this matter.

One night at 12.15:

Akash said, "She is the prettiest girl in this world."

"I am afraid my friend you haven't that much experience." I teased.

"Don't make a joke. OK." Irritated Akash replied.

"Yup."

"I agree, she is a bit healthy but good by her heart."

"Really." I nodded.

"Her beautiful long hairs, pink rose soft lips, big eyes and......."

"Come on. Leave explaining her beauty." I put a check.

What else could I do? I was being fascinated by her. She was my classmate too.

I could see one more thing in that girl that he was unable to......she was a beauty with brain.

He forced himself immediately not to talk about her but this only added fuel to the fire in him.

After fifteen minutes, his fire became visible.

"I have to go."

"Where to?"

"To meet Mitali."

"Are you insane?" I was nonplussed.

"Nope. I'm in love." His eyes were sparkling

"To hell with this love. You are going to meet a girl in this midnight. I think you should consult a psychologist."

He smiled and just smiled, said nothing.

"What do you want to do?" I was irritated now.

"I want to take a nap."

"And then?"

"Then!.........Then in the early morning, I will go to meet Mitali at her home."

"And...?"

"Very simple dear. I'll go there and make her awake. Then we'll have coffee together."

"Have you gone out of your mind?"

He thought for a while and said again, "Now I'll take some rest and move to her at 4.15 am"

"You must be joking."

"No man. This isn't a joke."

"Then this definitely is a fucking plan. You are going to be screwed."

"Let's see." He smiled and lay down with the English book on his face.

After a minute,

"Look, my friend, I have already gone to her home and I know her room or study room you can say."

I placed no credence in his plan and told him to hold his horses otherwise it would rather cost him heavily. But he didn't give a damn.

There was an entrance from the gate in front of the drawing room gate; just after that room, there was the study room of Mitali which contained a window in the mid of side wall. For that window one had to move approximately 15-20 feet from the gate and then had to turn right. It was then a general trend there to install a cooler just outside the window on two small cemented walls for the summer season. Mitali's bed was in front of the cooler and obviously, her parents had provided that room to her for the preparation of her examinations.

None of her parents were accompanying her with the intention not to disturb her. And this seemed a golden opportunity to Akash.

BUT THE FATE SHAT ON HIS FACE THAT DAY.

He woke up late, at 4.45 am. Yet his determination didn't allow postponing the plan. Mitali's home was hardly fifteen minutes brisk walk from mine and Akash arrived there approximately at 5.00 am. The sweet breezes of cool natural air with birds filling their good morning chirping were making the morning pleasant. The horizon had started illuminating the morning, a little though. Morning walkers had started their morning walks.

Mr. Gupta, six feet tall, with an athletic build, a good volleyball player, was very habitual of the morning walk. He woke up early, became fresh and opened the door.

Akash shot himself to Mitali's home hastily and jumped the locked three feet high iron gate.

But, dear readers......there is a twist.....

Mr. Gupta, Mitali's father, opened the door to go for the morning walk and as he opened, suspected a shadow had just passed.

Akash approached the window with a thin stick in his hand and put the stick inside the window to make Mitali awake.

And here, Mitali's father started to search around the trespasser. Alert Akash felt the footsteps and hid between the two small cemented walls of the cooler stand.

Mr. Gupta left no stone unturned but failed to find anyone. After taking a round of lawn, he thought "I have searched every nook and corner of the lawn but found none. Though, it is also true that there was someone whom I felt a few moments ago."

Sunk in his thoughts, he found the stand left to be checked and bent to have a look; I mean to say, a closer look.

Oh my Goodness!

As Akash saw him peeping; he tried to flee from there pushing Mr. Gupta. The later fell back by sudden thrust but was successful in holding the collar of the Akash's shirt.

Mr. Gupta yelled, "You bastard! I will kill you."

The blood drained from Akash's face hearing his husky voice.

"He Bajrangbali, khali is bar bacha lijiye, dubara aisa nhi hoga-God, save me this time. I will never repeat such a folly." He prayed and ran with all his might and jumped the boundary of the lawn made-up of barbed-wire. The collar was torn off. This made his jump a little low. Consequently, his leg got a scratch from barbed-wire and he was in the air for a short interval before striking with the sewer around the lawn.

"I am screwed today." Akash talked to himself.

But he spontaneously put forward his hands just at the moment of hitting the floor. A hard hit that was, the palms bear the burden though and got swollen.

Akash got up at once and ran straight along his line of vision caring for nothing. It took only five minutes to travel the distance.

I was awakening when he came. His bruised face, injured palms, and legs, torn shirt were telling his story.

"Did you meet Mitali?"

This only added to his miseries. Tears came out of his eyes instantly.

I touched him caressing, "Is there anything wrong?"

He burst out.

And I let him; waited to settle down, and then asked again.

He told me everything step by step and I absorbed the same, forever.........

Then, I offered him coffee.....THE GOOD MORNING COFFEE and said, "By the way Akash, Mitali is really a sweet girl."

His eyes sparkled again, "She is the prettiest girl in this world."

.............................

#Author's note: Waiting for the next tale!

My generous and sweet readers, I am extremely sorry to keep you all waiting. The next one is about the audacity, a typical 90s style, of my other friend. But, I assure you of the humor in that story too. You can expect the same in the upcoming week.#
