Kronos's POV:

Popping the medication into my mouth, I drank a handful of water before placing my bottle down. I sighed, getting ready for the next session of my therapy.

So much time has passed since Rhea has been in a coma.

I really wish she was in my arms right now. Groaning softly, I rush downstairs into Theo's office, where he claimed he had a surprise for me.

Opening the door, I quietly asked, "Theo, you here?"

As I stepped into the office, I was stunned by the person who was here. My father, Ouranos, sat casually next to where I usually sat. There was another chair that was empty, but it was almost like a socratic seminar where students had their desks in a circle to have a discussion.

Biting the inner side of my cheek, I questioned, "Is this... group therapy?"

Dad and Theo turned their heads at me at the same time.

"Yes, it is." Theo smirked, laying back.

Dad stared at me, amazement in his eyes as he took my presence in. "You look great, son. Therapy has been doing wonders on you, but you've been trying for yourself, haven't you?"

I smiled, "Yes, I have. Thanks Dad."

He patted the seat next to him and I sat down smoothly.

We were all talking and laughing to each other until someone else came in. The person who blamed and hated me from the day my father fell into a coma.

Gaia, my mother.

In my head, Apollo grew angry. One who was always calm and thought carefully before acting, he didn't care anymore. He wanted to transform and tear out her throat, to make her beg for mercy and to exile her from ever coming back.

Unknowingly, a vicious growl escaped from me.

The room instantly grew quiet as Gaia shut the door when she walked in. It's funny, because I made sure I commanded her to never step foot in front of me again. But because of Theo, he insisted this was very much needed.

So I revoked my command.

However, I am slightly regretting it as I loathe this woman.

Ironically, she sat next to me with ease.

I for one, did not like that she was next to me.

She was my abuser, the one that ruined me. If anything, I never wish to be near her. Back then, I never understood why I didn't return the favor.

As she tried to catch my attention, I glared at her, hatred oozing from every fiber of my being.

She gulped, quickly turning away and starting a topic. "Good evening guys, how is everyone?"

No one answered, showing their dislike for her. She lets out a nervous chuckle, until my father's eyes turns black, 'Why do you smell of another male?' He hissed.

Losing the smile, Gaia frowned, "What do you mean?"

Gaia wanted to become mates with my father again, especially after he rejected her. After he woke up, her perspective changed on me and she acted as if nothing ever happened.

Like hell I would allow that.

"Don't act ... stupid, mom. You know what you've been doing all these years." I growled, hating the way the title sounded when she didn't even deserve it.

Her frown deepened, "I..."

"Okay, that's enough. We didn't come here for some marriage counseling. We came here for Kronos, so please put that aside for now." Theo scowled.

We all grew quiet, waiting for Theo's directions.

Clapping his hands, he asked, "Now, let's begin. Kronos, how did you feel when your mother did this treatment on you?"

And it continued just like that, as I told my part and my father and... Mother told her part of how they felt. My father's part on the questions made me want to tear up, because I knew he wished he could have done everything in his power to save me.

My mother's part?

I didn't care for.

It was until she spoke up for herself when I snapped. The emotions that welled up from me from all those years ago, from how I've grown since I had therapy released.

"I don't ... want to hear it!" I shouted.

She flinched as she started sobbing, "Kronos, please understand. I wasn't thinking when I was under the influence of alcohol. I swear I won't drink again, please forgive me."

I waited for her cries to subside, saying my part before leaving.

"Understand this mo- no, Gaia. I don't ... see you as my mother, and I never ... will again. A proper mother would never do something... that causes them to blame their own child for a ... cause that was unavoidable. I may have forgiven you, but don't expect ... me to include you in my life right away. I'm glad you ... brought me in this world, because I got to meet Rhea, but I don't want ... you anywhere near me."

Her hiccups of crying grew louder.

"If Rhea and I have pups, you will be forbidden to ... go near them. You can't imagine the pain and suffering I've fault through the ... years you abused me. Never in my life have I wanted ... to die so badly for something that was not controllable. I felt dirty, worthless, disgusting, a mutt, a mistake. Alone, scared, helpless, and so ... many things that if I ... mentioned, you wouldn't understand."

Gaia suddenly screamed out, "But I do underst-"

"No, you don't!" I boomed back, eyes black in anger.

She whimpered at my authority and power rising in the air, knowing that I was an alpha now. An alpha whose mate was in a coma. One that would be dangerous to temper with.

"You starved me, fed me shit. You whipped me, scarred me ... beyond any other scars. You threatened ... that even if I made the slightest sounds, you would ... continue to beat me. And here you are, still ... claiming you understand and that you're sorry." I whispered bitterly, "You're a joke."

The room was silent, so quiet that you could hear a pin drop.

Scanning the people around me, my father's and Theo's eyes were wide in shock. They never knew that I had that type of power in me. To see it, was astonishing to them.

Having enough of the therapy and knowing that it was a one day session, I dismissed myself with, "Thank you ... for everything Theo, Dad. I'll see myself out now."

Before I stepped out the door, I warned, "Gaia... don't you ever show your face in ... front of me again or else."

She nodded shakily, quiet cries escaping from her.

From this day, she will never step on me again.

Because this time around, I'm the alpha.
