"You fat ugly snot!" She bellows into your ears as the agonising grip on your hair tugs and shifts making you wriggle in an uncomfortable way.

You try to grasp as much air as possible before the pulsing rush of water splashes onto your face, your hands reaching out and struggling to hold onto something, trying to hold whatever oxygen you have left in you, you just hold onto that.

Her claw like nails tugging again onto the back of your head as the cold water of the toilet runs down your face making your mascara run and trickle down your glowing skin.

Her tough throw makes you stumble onto the dirty floor, before your frail body is held up by the collar of your sweater and your body is just shaken, making your brain wiggle.

"You really dare to dream that you'll find someone?" She spits out through her pearly whites as her pale blue eyes cut into you, "you dare talk about your non-existent lover again I'll make sure you'll never meet them. Fake or real." She spits again this time onto your face.

Your then shoved onto the floor before you try to curl up holding your stomach in pain as little purple and blue patches begin to bloom on your glowing skin.

Ringing of the bell save you from your trauma as the pain begins to stop and you can finally breathe again.

However the bell isn't the only thing your ears can hear, you also hear the soft singing of your favourite singer as their voice peacefully plays through your ears, making your heart warm knowing that someone out there is trying his best to keep you warm and strong.

Although you had no ear phones, no phone to play music and you were just locked up in a bathroom and sweet cheerful tune hums in your ear, making you perk up slightly.

And you feel so much guilt towards your supposed soulmate, who just feels as much pain as you do. Who is always there reminding that there is someone.

Who doesn't let you give up, but you feel guilt crept up onto you as you hold your stomach as slowly the pain soon flows away and some only the purple patches on your arms and cheek shrink back.

When you were little you would wonder why your father got a little pink dot on his toe whenever you mum shouted from upstairs and making your father let out an 'ouch' as he holds onto his toe.

You softly giggle at the memory now understanding that your mum just stubbed her toe, making the little pink dot bloom onto your dads toe.

"I'm...sorry.." you mumble before scrambling to get up using the white sink to help yourself up, stumbling over to the mess of your belongings...your books soaked in toilet water and your hair dripping with the Same disgusting water.

You exhale loudly thankful that you left your phone at home so she didn't take it away and ruin that too, your family won't be able to afford a new phone until the next 4 months.

Ever since the age of 5 everyone begins to learn about the soulmate bond. How it works, why it happens, and how to know you have one. Also to know the dangers of them.

When you hit the decent age of 15 you begin to hear the heart beat of your future lover, that heart beat lasts for a whole day and you remember the beautiful moment you listened to his rhythmic  heart boom in his chest, some how harmonising with your own.

It was the most wonderful feeling to feel, knowing that you have someone else who may always been on your side, at least that is what you have hoped.

By the time you turn 16, you and your heart beat partner begin to hear each others music like a song always stuck in your head however it was his music he was listening too, or even singing. Its somewhat uncomfortably strange yet reassuring as you can begin to try to communicate but they can still hear what you hear sometimes. In music wise that is.

It's the reason why you heard your favourite song boom in your ears, because he played it for you.

But the most important thing is how when you turn 5 they teach you the very first thing about soulmates, it's that you share each other's pain. This only occurs when you turn the young age of 10.

No one knows why it was that age but it was certainly the worst choice as when your ten your reckless and crazy going out and exploring, always getting hurt. Sometimes it wasn't even your pain you felt.

Your currently in your final year of college, age 18, music student and the best one yet. Well that's what it was at the start of the year before your worst enemy joined the class.

You weren't one to mingle and that's probably why you were the victim, but you didn't know why she picked on you.

At first that is.

Until you overheard a private conversation before a night class began.

But you don't like to think about what happened after that so you just shake your head and carry on gathering your things and shoving them into your ripped bag or what's left of it, listening to the specific playlist your soulmate made that consist's of your favourite songs.

You carefully hum to each tune mumbling the soft words out lid as you stride down the hall ways towards your lockers, knowing every word not getting a single word wrong and smiling as your favourite part comes up.

It's strange to feel this much joy after what you have been through 10 minuets ago, but you couldn't care as you just pull out your spare bag and begin to trade your soggy books into that dry bag humming and silently singling along to the words also hearing the sweet melodic hum of your soulmates singing, well....rapping.

You couldn't wait to the day where you get to meet them, to apologise for all the pain you put them through and to be able to love them unconditionally.

They were your muse, your inspiration and reason to push on.
