"Astrid! If I have to tell you one more time to put those toys up, you've had it!"

I pouted at him and plopped down on the floor. "Papa, I'm playing with them!" I picked one up and wiggled it around for emphasis.

"No, you weren't. Go put them up, now."

I grabbed them all and stood.

"Thank you, baby."

I threw them into the air and turned around, my feet flying as I made a break for Nathan's room so I could lock Jax out.

"Astrid!" Jax's arm wrapped around my elbow and he yanked me back to him. "That's enough."

I looked up at him and immediately began to cry. I sobbed and hiccuped, my chest rising and falling rapidly as I struggled to breathe through broken "I'm sorry's."

"Okay, you're okay. Calm down, baby. Shh." Jax pulled my head into his chest and ran his fingers through my hair, his other hand tracing my spine. I slowly calmed down. "Now, you are getting punished."

"No! I don't wanna!"

"It's just time out. All you have to do is sit on the couch for ten minutes, okay?"

I pouted but nodded and climbed onto the couch. I sighed and stretched myself out.

"Nope, you need to sit up and think about why you're in trouble. So sit up."

I groaned loudly but did as I was told. I pulled myself into a sitting position slowly. I glared at him, huffing loudly. He just shook his head and left.

I pouted as I sat there alone, waiting for him to come tell me to get up. I kicked my legs back and forth until Jax came back.

"Are you ready to get up now?"

I nodded my head and reached my arms towards him, whining slightly when he didn't immediately pick me up.

"Before you get up do you understand why you were punished?"

I nodded.

"Tell me."

"It was because I was bad." He motioned for me to keep going. "I didn't put my stuff up when you told me to."

"Okay. Good girl, come here." He scooped me up and carried me to the kitchen where he had chili fries on the table with juice in a cup next to it. "What do you say?"

"Thank you."

a/n: this is so super short but i wanted to get an update done and i'll work on the next on immediately i pinkie promise. i started working and that with being on the track to midyearing takes up my time and stresses me out, but don't worry bc i will still be updating!! also i might start doing a question of the chapter thing bc i wanna get to know the readers, would anyone be interested in actually answering them lol? also, would you guys want a seperate book for kayden and collin? :)
