"Do we have to do this now? I mean, can't we start some other time?"

"No. Kneel." Nathan's brown eyes held mine as we glared at each other.

Ever since lunch four days ago when I'd told Collin we'd go on his stupid double date, Nathan had been training me. He'd said, and I quote, "I can't have an untrained pet embarrassing me in public." Since we'd gotten together two weeks ago I'd known this was coming, but I'd be damned of it wasn't annoying as hell.

I groaned and kneeled again, for the third time in less than an hour. "There. Happy?"

"You're lucky Jax isn't here. You'd be bent over his knee in a second if you gave him attitude like that."

"Mhm."

"Keep it up and you'll be over my knee."

I sighed and got into the position he'd been drilling into my head all day. He walked around me and nodded. Thank god. I did not want to do this again.

"Does this mean I get a collar and ears? A tail?"

Nathan raised an eyebrow and shot me an amused look. "Do you want one?"

"Well, I mean I'm a puppy so I need one." I nodded at my reasoning, he can't argue with that.

"You don't have to have one if you don't want one. Do you want one, Angel? Would you like a tail, a collar, and ears?"

I squirmed uncomfortably and squeezed my eyes shut. "Yes."

"Yes what?" Was he really going to make me say it? I looked away and shrugged. He crouched in front of me and guided me back to face him. "Yes what?"

"Yes I want those things."

"What things?  I can't do anything for you if I don't know what you want."

Why was he always embarrassing me?  "Yes I want a tail, a collar, and ears." He glared. "Please." He nodded.

"Good,  Jax went to pick up the ones we ordered for you."

Did he really just- "Then why did you make me say it?"

"You need to learn to use your words."

I stood. He glared. I got back on my knees grumbling under my breath. "Whatever."

"What was that?"

"Nothing." I pouted.

"Good. You can get up now. Jax should be here soon and we'll go over your rules."

I shot him a look. "My rules? I don't have rules?"

"Not yet. You will when Jax gets here. Go wait for him by the door like I taught you."

I groaned and got on my knees by the door. I may have acted annoyed but I was actually really excited for Jax to come back. "Will I always have to kneel at the door like this?"

Nathan made his way over and leaned against the wall in front of me. "No, this is just for while you're training, or if we specifically say to." I nodded and shifted. My knees were starting to hurt.

"My knees are gonna bruise."

"Good. I like the way bruises look on you." I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

Nathan's phone dinged and I perked up. "Jax will be here soon."

I smiled brightly and bounced a little in excitement. Within five minutes Jax walked through the door and I practically tackled him.

"Hi. I missed you." Jax laughed a little and lifted me up, holding me against his hip.

"Hi baby. How was your training?" He set down the bag and brought his hand up to stroke my hair.

I pouted and layed my head on his shoulder. "I hate it and my knees hurt. Nathan is mean." He laughed again and carried me into the kitchen, sitting on a chair with me in his lap.

"Okay, I'm not mean, you just don't listen." Nathan walked in with the bag Jax left, and set it on the table.

"You're just mad because Jax is my favorite." I stuck my tongue out at him and smiled. He rolled his eyes and walked around the table to stand in front of me.

"Well now you're gonna think we're both mean because it's time to talk about rules."

A/N: I've been thinking of doing longer chapters, the only thing about that is i wouldnt update as often, Idk tho. We'll see :)
