Dumbass: Lunch?

"What's that smile for?" I rolled my eyes at Collin's smug tone and smile. I flicked a paper clip at him and texted Nathan a quick yes, letting him know what time my break was.

"I have a lunch date. You're on your own today babes."

"Wouldn't be the first time."

I scoffed. "When have I ever? And you know what? You could easily get a date, you're just too picky." It was true, he was very attractive. Collin was your tall, dark, and handsome stereotype. He was around six foot, dark hair and eyes, tanned skin, and a chisled jaw. He just couldn't seem to find a girl he liked, despite the many who happily would fall (and have fallen) to their knees for him.

"I know I can, and it's about time someone acknowledged my stunning good looks." I rolled my eyes. "The girls around here are just," he fake shivered, "ugh." I nodded, I did know. Girls around here were bitches.

"Well, that's on you. Find something to do for lunch."

Collin pouted at me, fluttering his eyelashes. "You could always cancel and stay with me."

"Of course," I purred. "I'll even make us a picnic and we can go somewhere special in my private jet." I laughed as he rolled his eyes. I checked the clock, almost break time. "Well, I'm gonna get my shit and head out. Cya." I mock saluted him and made my way to the lobby.

"You should probably put your food back in your mouth. Eat it even." Nathan was sitting across from me, his mouth open in silent laughter. I grimaced at the sight of his lunch, I didn't need a second look. He eventually calmed down enough to breathe and finish the food in his mouth. While I was patiently waiting for him to stop acting like an idiot my phone buzzed.

Hot Work Buddy: How big of a coincidence would it be if we were at the same place

My eyes darted around the room before landing on Collin standing by the door.

"Astrid? Are you okay? You look pissed."

"Why is it that you and Jax can cuss, but I can't? And where is Jax anyway?" I rolled my eyes at Collin as he winked at me.

"We can cuss because we make the rules, and Jax will be here soon. Why is that guy winking at you?" I sighed and waved Collin over to us. I was gonna kill him.

"Nathan, meet my idiot coworker Collin. Collin, this is Nathan." Nathan raised an eyebrow at my way of introducing him. I shrugged.

"So this is who you left me for, huh? I can definitely see the appeal." Oh god.  Why was he like this.

"Left you for me?" Nathan shot me a bewildered look, his eyes then darting between me and Collin.

"We eat lunch together. He's just butthurt that I found better company." Collin made a strangled noise, and I smirked at him. Nathan just nodded slowly, eyeing Collin.

"Hey, sorry I'm late. Did you order me anyt- who's that?" I slammed my head into my palm. Of course Jax would choose now to show up.

"Yes, we ordered for you. That is Astrid's coworker Caleb."

"It's um, it's Collin actually." Poor, naive Collin. I didn't have the heart to tell him that Nathan knew his name perfectly well.

"Collin, this is Jax." Jax shot me a look at his introduction, and I shot him a smile. What did he want me to say? Meet Nathan and Jax, my doms. Yea, no. It was best to keep it short and sweet. According to Jax's face he didn't exaxtly agree. Whatever.

"So you left me for two guys?" Collin did not sound impressed. "You left me alone so you could have lunch with two guys? Astrid, my split personalities could have given you two guys to eat lunch with. Three even. As many as you wanted." Kill me now. Poor Nathan and Jax just looked so lost.

"Collin shut up."

"Okay Astrid, who is this guy?" Jax fixed a glare on Collin that could kill. Collin smiled.

"Coworker. Crazy in the head. We eat lunch together everyday."

"Not today." Collin pouted. I punched him. He shrieked like a little girl. "Okay, okay fine. I followed you here so I could meet your date, the one who stole you from me, and corner you into doing something for me." I nodded my head and gestured for him to continue. "Come on a double date with me. You and....uh, one of them? Both? Either one can come."
