[Back on Earth…]|

The sky was a beautiful bright blue. Fluffy white clouds were dispersed across it, none interfering with the glowing yellow sun almost directly above the large building.

Jeongin sat just outside, eating his lunch in the sunshine. He thought that, since it was such a nice day outside, he would get to enjoy it just a little bit, because some people couldn't, and he should enjoy it for them.

Just as he was about to begin eating one of his sandwiches, he felt a tap on his shoulder and looked around.

“Mind if I sit with you?”

What was Hwang freaking Hyunjin doing outside. What was he doing talking and sitting with a peasant such as Jeongin??

Gathering his wits about him, Jeongin shook his head, even scooching over a bit. He still couldn't wrap his head around his luck when his superior sat down right next to him.

He had only started a few months ago, what had he done to deserve this treatment?

There was something about the way Hyunjin just sat down in the grass, not even minding that he could get grass stains on his elegant suit.

“Did I ever thank you?” Hyunjin suddenly spoke up, startling Jeongin.

“Um, for what?” The younger found himself too intimidated to try eating, so he set down his sandwich and turned his attention to his boss. Hyunjin laid down in the grass, sprawling out and looking up at the sky.

“Finding Jisung. My… friend is also really grateful. He was Jisung's significant other.”

Jeongin nodded, and fiddled with his fingers, not knowing how to react.

“Why are you always so tense around me?” The elder's head had rolled to the side and he was looking up at Jeongin with interest. “You looked really happy out here before I came along. You were all smiley and bright. Now you look like you can't wait to escape. Am I really that scary?”

Not thinking, Jeongin nodded solemnly. Once he realized what he did, he flung out his arms. “No, no you're not! You aren't scary!!” Hyunjin started laughing, eyes crinkling up until they were barely visible, a huge grin taking over his face.

“I'm sorry!!!” Jeongin whined, not liking the fact that he was apparently missing out on the joke here. And he had just called his boss scary!! Maybe Hyunjin was planning on firing him right now and was laughing at the thought. Of course he was.

Jeongin slumped down, burying his face in his hands, embarrassment making its way throughout his whole body.

Once Hyunjin caught sight of this, he sat up and tapped Jeongin's shoulder again. “Hey.. how about this?” Jeongin still didn't look up and Hyunjin frowned. He pried one of Jeongin's hands off of his face, greeting him with a smile.

“Let's do this right this time. Hi! I'm Hyunjin.”

Jeongin blinked, then realized that Hyunjin was now shaking his hand and caught on. “Oh- hi there. I'm Jeongin.” He smiled shyly, suddenly not feeling as terrified as before.

“Nice to meet you, Jeongin. Now what do you say we ditch work and you can come with me on my lunch break? I'd love to get to know you better.”

Without a moment's hesitation, Jeongin nodded, standing up and dusting off his pants. “Well, what are you waiting for?”
He smiled down at Hyunjin and helped him to his feet.

Maybe it was just Jeongin's imagination, but the sky seemed even brighter now.
