Long af chapter to make up for a writing block induced three week hiatus-

“Get your lazy ass up, Han Jisung.”

Jisung groaned from his spot, face down on the couch, and threw a pillow at his annoying roommate.

Today was one of the hottest days they'd had in a while, and he wanted to spend it exactly as he was.

“Go away, Minho. Nobody likes you.” He murmured half-heartedly, the buzz from the electric fan beside him on the coffee table nearly drowning out his words.

Minho scoffed, and said with a wink,“Nuh uh. You do.”

Jisung neither confirmed nor denied the statement, choosing to stay still and take a nap rather than retaliate.

“What did you even want, Minho hyung?”

Minho huffed and sat on the edge of the couch, legs dangling over the edge as he flopped down next to Jisung.

“We should go to an amusement park today, Sungie.”

Jisung sat up, glaring down at Minho, whose head was now practically resting in his lap.

“Bro, it's like, ten million degrees outside right now. Not only that, but wouldn't you have to ask the administrators if we could go? What if we got called for like, training or something?”

Minho blinked up at him, eyes shining with mischeif.

Jisung watched him for a few seconds, realization dawning on him. “You already asked, didn't you?”

Minho nodded smugly. Jisung hit his chest. “Now you know that I can't say no! You're smary, you are.”

Smary?”

“Smart. And scary.” Jisung got up, taking off his shirt as he did so. Minho's mouth went dry. “What are you doing?”

Jisung looked back at him, winking as he headed off towards his own bedroom. “Getting ready to go. Why? You like what you see?”

Then it was Jisung who got the pillow thrown at him.

By the time Jisung was all set to go, Minho was no where to be found. At least, until Jisung looked out the window.

Down, far below, was Minho, leaning against his dusty pickup truck, having a staring contest with the silver keys dangling from a single pinky finger.

Unbeknownst to himself, Jisung let a ghost of a smile trace his lips. That was, until Minho looked up and locked gazes with the other boy. He, too, began to smile, shouting up at him. “Oi! You coming?”

“Yeah, gimme a sec.”

The car ride was long, and the ticket buying even more tedious. But about an hour later, they were both standing, side by side at the entrance to the park.

“Ugh it's too hot. I feel like I'm being boiled.”

“It's because I'm here.” Minho said, no trace of sarcasm in his voice and a serious look taking over his eyes.

This, of course, earned him a smack from the younger. But he didn't mind. It was worth it.

“What ride first?” Jisung asked, head on a swivel in order to find the best one. “How about that one?” He pointed to a small roller coaster, just to the left of where they were.

Minho scrunched up his face, looking at the line that they would have to wait in. He would be about fifty by the time they got on the actual ride. “It's too long.”

Jisung snickered. “That's what she said-”

Minho looked at him, shaking his head resignedly. “Jisung, you're gay.”

“No, ur mom gay”

This caused the other to let out a sigh before dragging a laughing Jisung further into the park.

“Now, what's our plan of attack? Go to the back of the park and work our way back here, or just go through it normally?” Minho stared at Jisung, awaiting his answer.

Jisung, however, was completely zoned out. He was staring at Minho, and, more importantly, Minho's lips. He couldn't help but wonder the same thing, over and over.

Is this a date?

Minho blinked his eyes a few times and when he opened them, Jisung was no longer staring at him.

Maybe he imagined it?

Shaking his head hastily, Minho turned and started walking away. “Alright. Welp. Your loss. I choose option 1”

“Hey, no fair! Wait up!”
Minho heard Jisung yell from behind him, and began jogging with a maniacal look taking over his face.

Jisung watched Minho jog away and shook his head, a glint in his eye.

“Oh it is so on,” He said, racing after his friend.

Soon, Minho came to an abrupt halt, causing Jisung to slam right into him due to their speed.

Rubbing his head, Jisung looked up at what caused Minho to stop so suddenly.

Directly ahead of them, there was a big scene going on. And it wasn't part of the theatre.

A man stood above a young teenager, yelling at her. He was shouting horrible, definitely homophobic insults, and the kid was crouched on the ground, flinching and crying.

Jisung pulled his gaze away from the horrific occurrence to look at Minho, who was still enraptured.

When he looked in Minho's eyes, he saw nothing but anger. No, not anger. Rage.
Before he knew it, Minho was dragging him into the circle of people that had formed, pulling him within feet of the homophobic man.

“Hey asshole.”

The man looked up at that, narrowing his eyes. One last tug on his arm, and Jisung was standing deep within Minho's personal space bubble.
So close, that their noses were almost touching. And a second later, they were. Minho had removed his hands from Jisung's, and was now gripping his shirt tightly, kissing him with force.

Jisung was stunned, but went with it.

The dude made a noise that sounded like something between a scoff and a scream. He backed away quickly, and so did Minho.

Minho smiled smugly at the man's retreating figure, casually flipping him off as he made his way over to the teen.

Jisung was still standing in the same spot, shocked at what just happened, but Minho was taking action.

“Kid? You okay?”

He helped the younger girl up, bending down slightly to look her in the eyes.
Shaking her head slightly, she averted her gaze to the floor and avoided the prying eyes. It felt like everyone was staring at her, judging her, despite the fact that most people had filtered away, leaving only a few remaining stragglers.

Minho stood up, wildly gesturing for Jisung to get over there.

As soon as he did, Minho started murmuring to him, softly so that the girl wouldn't be bothered.

“We can't just leave her, Sungie.”

Jisung agreed with him heartily,”But what are we supposed to do?”

They both looked back to her at the same time. She looked so small and sad, as if the whole world was against her. Minho felt something rising up in his chest. “She can come with us.”

Jisung looked back at him, radiating alarm. Just as he opened his mouth to speak, Minho cut him off. “It's fine, we can just ask her. Do you mind?”

Something in his tone told Jisung that if he said no, he would be the one going around the park alone. Minho didn't wait for his answer.

He was already going back to the girl, who had sunk back down to the floor in a sitting position.

“Hi!,” He said, sitting in front of her, “My name's Minho, and that's Jisung. What's your name?”

Without looking up, she muttered something that Jisung couldn't hear.

“Olivia? Well, isn't that a pretty name! Are you foreign?”

Jisung sat down next to Minho, trying his hardest not to alarm her.

They saw her baseball cap bob downwards once, and took it as a yes.

“Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking?” Jisung said, picking at grass with his fingers to stop fidgeting, “One- actually, no- two of my friends are from Australia.”

She cleared her throat, looking up for the first time. Her eyes were slightly red, and the bags under her eyes could rival Chan's, but still, she was talking to them. “I'm from Australia, too. I wish I wasn't, maybe then I wouldn't have him as a dad.…. I don't speak korean well.”

Minho felt warmth burst in his chest. She was talking to them. His head snapped over to look at Jisung as he began talking.

“I think your korean’s great, Olivia.”

She flushed and looked back downwards, shaking her head. After a few seconds, she looked back up, playing with her fingers.

“I- uh. Thank you. For what you did, I mean. That was nice of you.”

It was Jisung and Minho's turn to blush as they remembered what they'd done, looking anywhere but at each other.

Jisung was the one that finally answered her, calming down enough to do so. “It was no problem, don't worry about it. Have you already been around the park?”

Olivia looked at them, and bit her lip. “No... we'd only been here for like half an hour when he started-”

Seeing that this was making her very uncomfortable, Minho cut her off.

“You don't have to tell us if you don't want to. But..We haven't been around the park either, if you want to walk around with us and/or go on a few rides?”

Jisung cut in, "we're both the big gay, so you don't have to worry."

For the first time since they'd met her, Olivia giggled. “I, too, am the big gay. And I definitely do want to keep going on rides. I can't let the whole day be ruined by that prick!”

Minho nodded, and so did Jisung, but with more worry.

“Are you sure? If you want, we could take you to the police station so you could report him. What if he thinks that we stole you?”

Minho hit him, and not all that gently. Clutching his shoulder, Jisung glared at Minho. “What was that for??”

“No,” Olivia said, grabbing both Jisung and Minho's attention, “he won't care. Probably already driving home.”

She laughed darkly before continuing, “besides. I wouldn't want to stop you guys from having fun, so of course I'll tag along with you! If I want to go, I'm free to though, right?”

Both boys immediately responded, astounded at how bright Olivia seemed to be. “Of course” Minho said at the same time Jisung said “absolutely”

They looked at each other before Minho said, “You can leave whenever you want to. Heck, you could leave right now if you felt like it. We're not going to hold you captive, Olivia.”

She nodded before standing up, brushing herself off, and wiping her tears away.

“So, where to first?”

“That's what we were trying to figure out.” Minho said, standing up and then turning around to help Jisung to his feet.

Olivia watched this interaction, nearly cooing at the sight of it. She shipped them, because they might've been one of the cutest couples she'd seen in a long time. So she told them that.

“You guys are very cute together.”

And with that, Jisung fell back to the floor, being dropped by Minho.

Flushed and in pain, Jisung stood up by himself, hissing insults at Minho.
“Bitch”

Minho wasted no time, and responded with, “jerk,” and, once again, neither were looking directly at one another.

After a moment of awkward silence, Minho cleared his throat and told her.
“We're not together.”

They all ignored the obvious 'yet’ that felt like it was hanging in the air. All except Olivia.

She smiled evilly, walking past her new friends and towards a rollercoaster behind them.

Yet. But you will be by the end of today.

It was her mission.

---

Hanging out with Olivia seemed so natural. Like she was meant to be friends with Jisung and Minho.

The girl had dragged them on so many rides that they normally wouldn't have gone on, but they didn't mind. They couldn't say no to her.

Not to mention the fact that despite what had gone on that morning, she still walked, talked, and looked great.

No one would guess that anything out of the ordinary had happened that morning.

At about an hour to sunset, they decided to go on the spinning teacups. Well, Jisung and Olivia did. Minho decided that he should sit this one out, giving Olivia the perfect chance to set her plan into action.

When they got there, the line was just long enough so that they should get on the ride in about two turns.

“So. You like Minho.” Olivia said, nudging Jisung with her elbow and catching him off gaurd.

“What- whatdoyoumean,” he said, fluffing the hair in the back of his head, a faint blush pricking at his cheeks, “I have no idea what you're talking about. What gave you that idea?”

Olivia gave him a look as if saying 'for real?’ “I've been watching you guys tiptoeing around each each other all day! The sexual tension is choking me, how do you guys live??”

Jisung was now slipping over his words, face probably beet red.

“Calm down, before your head explodes!” Olivia laughed, clutching Jisung's shoulder for support.

He wanted to push her off, he really did. But he couldn't bring himself to do it. It was his self-appointed job to protect her.

So, he just gazed at her with the look of a concerned puppy, bringing about a whole new wave of giggles once she pointed it out.

Jisung sighed, face still flushed, “okay fine. Maybe I am, kind of-perhaps-sort of-really, really in like with Minho.” The line moved forward by a lot as Olivia clapped her hands together. “I knew it!”

Just then, Minho appeared behind him on the other side of the fence.
“Everything okay?”

“Peachy.” Jisung said, rolling his eyes as Olivia had to stifle a laugh.

Minho looked at them both weirdly before walking away to find a seat, closer to them than before.

“Dude,” Olivia punched his arm, snatching his gaze away from Minho to look at her. “He was totally glaring at me!”

Jisung's expression of utter confusion morphed into that of horror. “He was? Why?? That's unlike him..”

Olivia shook her head, amused. “Bro. He was jealous.”

“Why…?”

“Because he saw us over here, and I was laughing my ass off, and you were blushing like an aroused tomato! He thought that you and I were exchanging flirtations or something of the like! That boy is beyond whipped, lemme tell ya.”

Jisung couldn't answer. He had no words.

It seemed like Olivia wasn't expecting a reply though, because they didn't talk too much after that. They both leaned on opposite sides of the line, waiting in comfortable silence.

Or at least, it was silence, until they got seated in their teacup.

Olivia leaned over the mini table spinny thing to talk to him. “You should ask him out today.”

Jisung gasped. He'd been trying to avoid thinking about it ever since Olivia had pointed out that his feelings were reciprocated. He didn't want to pop the question, he wasn't prepared!

“How??”

“Hmm,” As Olivia pretended to think, the teacups started to spin. She slid her gaze back to Jisung.

“Take him on the ferris wheel. The line shouldn't be too long. People nowadays don't take the time out of their day for 'old fashioned’ shit like that. But it's romantic, sOoo. Oh! And, if you hurry, you might get to the top by the time the sun sets. Now that, is romantic.”

So, as soon as the two got off the dizzying ride, they sprinted to Minho and pulled him towards the ferris wheel, without so much as an explanation. They didn't have enough time for that.

Once they got to the line, made up of around six people, Olivia branched away from them.

“Oh I think I see someone I know! I should go say hi. You two-” she said, highly overdramatically, gasping as though mortally wounded, “-you must go on without me! See you in like fifteen minutes!”

The wait didn't seem to take long, and they made small talk. Minho didn't like silence. So they talked.

And then it was their turn.

They stepped into the little cabin, Jisung being totally out of it. He was living in his head at the moment, trying to avoid both the nervousness of what he was about to do, and the now obvious tension between the two of them.
How had he not noticed before? Or maybe they both had, and that was why they'd wanted Olivia to be with them so badly? So that they could both keep running away from the inevitable.

“Hey, Ji?”

His gaze snapped up at the sound of Minho calling him, eyes narrowing. “Yes?”

Minho had sounded very uneasy, and Jisung didn't like it.

“Can I sit with you? Over there? Over here is lonely.”

Jisung nodded, looking back out between the bars of the cabin, wind threading itself gently through his soft brown locks.

Minho cleared his throat. The silence was bothering him. “Oh- shit, right. Ummmmmm so how was your day?”

Minho smiled at Jisung's lame attempt at creating noise for him. “Just talk. About anything. I'll listen to your voice.” He slid closer, grasping Jisung's bicep and leaning his head on his shoulder.

“Uhh, I really like Olivia,” Minho frowned into the material of Jisung's shirt at this, but listened anyway, “I feel like she really fits in with us, don't you? College and training has been really stressful lately, so I haven't kept in touch with too many people. It's nice meeting someone new. Although, I suppose, it's not nice how we met her. That sucked. Well, not the part that you kissed me, but what was happening to her at the time- wait”
Jisung realized what he said, and commanded himself not to freak out about it. Maybe Minho hadn't caught it?
“Wait- did I leave the fan on before we left?? Goddamn it, the electricity bills! Oh well. I just won't do it next time, then.”

Good save, Jisung.

He watched them slowly rising to the top of the giant wheel as the sun slowly sank.

Almost time.

“Hey! We should hang out with Chan and Changbin hyung soon. I mean, I have training with both of them on Tuesday, so like, maybe afterwards? I mean, don't feel replaced or anything, cause you're my best friend, but those two are hecking awesome.” He continued to ramble on, unaware that Minho was close to snapping.

For some reason, it was really bothering him that Jisung was talking about all the other people he liked. He wanted to hear his own name roll off of Jisung's tongue. Wanted himself to be all Jisung thought about for once.

It took him a second to realize that it had gone quiet again. He looked up at Jisung and saw him gaping.

“But...you are all that I think about, Minho.”

After he heard those words come out of his mouth, in the presence of Minho, he clapped a hand over his mouth,
