Raelynn's pov:

Unfortunately, today we were leaving.

Yesterday, we spent a nice day outside where the boys made a delicious barbecue. We got to go on their speed boat for a ride across the lake, looking around and it was amazing.

Right now, it was around 8 p.m and the jet was leaving at 8:30 p.m. The boys were putting our suitcases in the trunk while Cassandra and I were in the living room.

Evan came to us.

"Thank you for coming dear, it was a pleasure to meet you and I'm sorry for all the inconvenience that you faced from the kidnapping moment to my brother almost killing us," Evan spoke sincerely.

"It's okay and it was nice to meet you." I smile.

Less scary than I thought.

"And you too dear," he added looking at Cassandra.

"Thanks for having me," Cassandra smiled.

"I don't know what the future holds but I hope to see you both again. If not, I don't wanna let anything unsaid. I'm glad that Kyson found someone like you who understands him and doesn't try to change him. He had girlfriends in the past who I never approved and I'm glad he didn't settle down with those human creatures. He found you and I wish both of you the very best in life." He smiled at me.

"And you," he said looking at Cassandra," Val is a nice guy. I have known him for as long as he has been working with Kyson. He's always working and being goofy, he never bought a girl with him anywhere, especially here in my house. I would tell you to drop the 'friend' phase and don't waste your time. It's very clear to me that you both like each other, so why not take the next step?"

Both Cassandra and I could only listen.

Did he just give me his blessing?

"Thank you, Evan," I said sincerely.

"You're welcome."

Alec and Tobias came downstairs at the same time as Val and Kyson were making their way inside.

"Everything's ready," Val told us.

"Tobias, go drop the girls by the car. I need to talk to Kyson and Valentino." Evan spoke.

"Ok,"

Uh oh

Kyson's Pov:

"Is everything okay?" I asked dad cautiously.

"Yes, I just wanted to talk to you," He started. "You got yourself a pretty and nice woman. I like her. I hope you don't fuck up and she stays forever."

It was the first time that he was actually approving my choice.

"Growing up, I watch you and mom together. There is no way I'm gonna fuck this up," I reassured him.

Mom and dad were always a loving, adorable couple. Despite him being in the mafia and my mom being a housewife, they made everything work and look so simple. But growing up I understood that there is nothing simple and easy, we have to work our asses off to main it this way.

And in the end, it is worth it.

"I'm happy to hear that." He nodded.

"Don't me feel guilty now," Alec murmured.

I chuckled turning to him. I put my hand on his shoulder, "There is still time."

"And you Valentino," Dad started, "It's crystal clear that you like her so grow some balls and ask her out. Don't wait up, life can be pretty fuck up and unpredictable. As long as you can make things work, go for it."

Val gulped, "Yes sir.".

"If life doesn't betray me after my next chemo, I'll see you later then. If not, be assured that I'm content and you all did your best." Dad added.

Not gonna lie, that break my heart.

"Dad..." Alec frowned.

"Okay, both of you out. I'm sleepy now." Dad said pointing at me and Val.

I went to hug dad. He chuckled, hugging me back.

"Go," he murmured.

I pulled away.

"See you later."

"Bye Kyson,"

We walked outside. Tobias was leaning against the car talking with Raelynn and Cassandra. They turned to us when they noticed us.

Raelynn's pov:

"We'll see you next time," Tobias said and I nodded.

He put his hand forward and I handshake him.

There was a driver that was going to drop us at the airport. We sat in the back of the van and he drove to the airport. Kyson seems lost in his thoughts as he looked out of the window.

I don't know what Evan told him but he sure was thinking about it.

I reached to wrap my hand around his hand which was on his lap. He turned to me and gave me a smile that I instantly know wasn't a happy smile.

"Are you okay?" I asked in a low voice.

"Yeah," he replied.

He put his other hand on mine, his thumb doing random motions as he rubs my skin.

We reached the airport.

We climbed into the private jet and took a seat. This time, I wasn't sitting alone as Kyson sat beside me.

When we landed it was still early in the morning. Theodore came to pick us up and he had to drop us home. When we reached my house, I stepped out and so did Kyson. He helped me with my suitcase before leaning in to peck my lips.

"See you later," he said.

"See ya."

I made my way inside my house while the guys drove away. As soon as I walked inside, the aroma of lavender fill my nose. I recognised the perfume as it was one of my scented vapour liquids. I rolled my suitcase into the living room.

My eyes landed on my vapour machine which was on the kitchen table.

I know Ryker will never put this on, it must have been Natalie and thanks to her my house smells freaking good. As it was still early, I went to make myself some coffee.

I was surprised to see my fridge full. It looks like Ryker did some grocery shopping for me. He rarely says thank you so I'm guessing that this is my thank you.

Hope he clean up the sheets too.
