Raelynn's Pov:

When we walked inside the house, it was dead silent. Val went to one of the rooms, looking for Mr Lucero. I took this opportunity to look around at this new place.

(Downstairs area⬆)

"Kinda old but there is a vibe to it." Cassandra comments.

"Please tell me that you do not sense anything here," I spoke looking at her. She chuckled, shaking her head no.

"I don't feel any spirits but I can sense sad kinda vibes, like a lot of sadness is trapped in here." She explained, her eyes roaming to the side.

Oh.

"He isn't here, let's go in the backyard," Val said, approaching us. We followed him outside and wow, it was breathtaking.

The lake view was so pretty.

We walked further and my eyes landed on the group of men by the deck. They were four men, including Kyson. I instantly recognised Mr Lucero and I'm guessing the other two guys were Kyson's brothers.

Kyson suddenly turned around, his eyes meeting mine. We kept eye contact for a good minute. I was nervous to see his reaction and this one minute felt like an eternity.

He put his cup down, marching toward us.

"Oh shit," I heard Val curse before going to hide behind Cassandra whose eyes widened.

Kyson stopped a few inches away from me, his face was blank.

Uh oh.

"Hi," I spoke softly.

He surprised me when he reached to hug me, pulling my body onto his. His touch made me realise how much I miss him and the way his arms wrapped around my waist felt like home. I smiled, wrapping my arm around his neck and hugged him back.

He pulled away shortly, before turning to Valentino.

"You!" Kyson said dangerously low pointing his finger at Val. Val's eyes widened even more.

"Hey, I'm sorry. But I didn't kidnap her. You can ask her." Val argued.

"Of course, you didn't kidnap her. Just like the first time, she came willingly." Kyson pointed out, referring to our first encounter.

Val furrowed his eyebrows, "Then why are you mad?"

"You should have told me what my dad was planning." Kyson started, walking closer to Cassandra. Val took a few steps back, making her move back with him. She gave me a 'help-me' look.

"I couldn't." Val defended himself.

"It's not his fault, he told me everything and I came willingly," I spoke, gaining Kyson's attention. He turned to me.

"You want to meet my dad?" He asked cautiously.

I gave him a nod, "Yeah."

I saw his shoulders drop a little, showing that he was more relaxed now, "Okay."

"Hmm, we are leaving. See you later." Val spoke grabbing Cassandra's hand before pulling her back to the house.

Kyson took my hand in his and we made our way to his father and brothers. As if knowing that I was nervous he gave my hand a light squeeze, reassuring me.

"You should be happy that you are in a wheelchair right now and that I can't kill you," Kyson told his dad as soon as we approached them.

His dad laughed while his brothers snickered.

"So you are telling me that you aren't happy to see her here right now? I just did you a favour, son. Be grateful." His dad taunted him.

He then turned to me, "Hi, I'm Evan Lucero, this idiot's father. Nice to finally meet you."

"Hi, I'm Raelynn. Nice to meet you too." I smiled.

"I'm sorry that I had to take such drastic measures to bring you here." Evan apologised.

"Hi, I'm Tobias his elder brother."

"And I'm Alec, his younger brother."

The two gentlemen introduced themselves. Not gonna lie, these three brothers share a lot of similar feathers. When they stood together, there was no denying that they weren't brothers.

"Nice to meet you both,"

"Likewise, even if our brother was trying to hide you," Alec said while giving Kyson a look. Kyson glared at him.

"Well, she just arrived," Evan started looking at me, "So we will let you relax. I know it can get tiring travelling by plane so we will meet you for lunch, where we can all talk to you."

"I'll take her inside," Kyson spoke and Evan nodded.

"See you later."

Both Kyson and I made our way inside. He walked in front of me and I followed him. He was awfully quiet. We walked up the stairs and went to the third room. He opened the door and stepped aside so that I could walk in.

I looked around and I found my suitcase by the closet door.

Nice room...

"You should rest," he spoke making me look at him.

I nodded, "Okay."

I didn't move and neither did he.

After a long painful, awkward minute, he moved closer to me.

"I'm sorry that my dad dragged you here," he said looking me in the eyes.

"I was going to ask you first if you wanted to come and meet them but my dad was impatient and did all this. I'm sorry." He apologised again.

"So you are not mad that I came?" I asked him.

He raised an eyebrow," why would I be mad at you?"

"Well, I thought that you didn't want me to come here so I figured that you would be mad at me," I explain.

"Of course not,"

He grabbed my chin, leaning to peck my lips.

"I can never be mad at you for showing up and surprising me."

I was relieved.

"And look at you so pretty." He commented with a smile on his lips.

I smiled.

He pecked the corner of my lips.

Unexpectedly, he grabbed the back of my thigh and pull me up making a squeal escape my lips at the sudden change of gravity. I wrapped my arms around his neck as my leg wrapped around his waist.

"I missed you," I said softly.

"I missed you more. I missed your smile, I missed your scent, I missed your touch, I missed your voice, I missed your pretty face." He confessed and if he wasn't holding me right now, I would be on my knees.

I pulled him into a tight hug.

He kissed the nape of my neck moving one of his arms around my back.
