Raelynn's pov:

It's been two days since Kyson left for Canada.

These past two days were rather calm. Ryker and I completed a whole week's worth of work within these two days. We also got an email from the Italian Mafia. They finally found the culprit who kill the leader's brother and they apologised for all the inconvenience that they caused on their way.

Thankfully our mafia wasn't involved with them.

Right now I was at home in my backyard. After lunchtime, Cassandra, Ryker and Jace came to hang out at my place.

"Those fresh strawberries are delicious with the melted chocolate." Cassandra moans while eating the fruit.

"Doesn't sound right," Jace commented as he walked to us to grab a snack from the charcuterie board that I made earlier. He was wet as he just walked out of the pool.

Some of the fruits were from my last grocery shopping and they were starting to go bad so I decided to make a fruit charcuterie board.

"Leave me alone with my food. Shoo, shoo!" Cassandra waved her hand in front of Jace trying to push him away.

"Geez get a room upstairs," Jace murmured before putting a handful of blueberries in his mouth.

Cassandra rolled her eyes.

We heard a splash from the pool before Ryker swim up to the edge putting his arms on the pool's rim. His hair was like a mop on his head.

"Where did you keep our beach ball?" He asked me.

"Huh, I think it's in the broom closet," I said in uncertainty.

"I'll get it." Jace volunteered but I stopped him.

"No, I'll get it. You are not going inside with your shorts leaking." I said pointing at the puddle he made from just standing for a few seconds.

"Ok, mom." Ryker taunted from the back.

I rolled my eyes as I made my way inside. I went to the broom closet which was by the stairs and look for their beach ball. They always play with it whenever they come to have a pool party. I found it in one of the boxes and I took it out. The design on the ball was a barbie and a dolphin but with time the drawing faded.

I walked back outside. Jace was now in the water with Ryker. I throw the ball at them before sitting back on the couch near the glass door.

"Your phone buzzed," Cassandra told me.

I pick it up from the middle table.

How was your day?-K

With the time differences, it was hard to get a fixed time when we were both free to call and talk, so we only text each other. I miss him.

Kinda lazy, I'm at home with Cassandra, Jace and Ryker. We're having a pool party. What about you😁?-R

His reply was quick.

Tiring, I'm now going to bed. Dad wanted to stay outside and drink so my brothers and I kept him company.-K

Your dad is allowed to drink🤔?-R

No😅, we drank some wine while he sipped on his tea.-K

I turned off my phone before putting it on the couch on my side.

"I saw the bouquet on the table," Cassandra said gaining my attention. I look at her and she was looking at me with a smirk on her face.

I shrugged, "I bought them."

She scoffed loudly.

"Liar. He bought it for you." She said giving me a look.

I chuckle, "He did."

"So now you are together or still talking?" She asked curiously.

"We've been together for a while now," I confessed.

She gasped, smacking me on my arm, "You bitch, when were you going to tell me?"

"Ouch," I rubbed the spot she hit. "I didn't tell anyone... Besides Natalie and the guys, Kyson kissed me in front of them and they immediately understood."

"So I'm like the fourth person to know!" She smacks me again on my arm.

"I'm sorry." I apologised.

"Dude!"

"Sorry,"

She sighs leaning back, "congrats on your love life."

I furrowed my eyebrow, "What happened to yours?"

"It's going great..." She trailed off.

"Why do I sense like there is a 'but' coming?" I said.

"I like him a lot Rae but I'm scared. You know how my dad is, I'm afraid that he will make me stop seeing Val once he knows that he's in the mafia." She explained.

"Cassandra, your dad was once a mafia leader and your mother was an innocent medium... You are doing nothing wrong. You are just like your momma, you like dangerous men." I tried to reassure her.

"There is no doubt that I do like dangerous men. Like I try dating normal guys, going on dates with them, trying to get involved in their way of life but I never feel it. To be honest, I found them boring." She admitted.

I chuckled.

"So I'm guessing Val is the one," I said and she nodded.

"I like everything about him. I found myself fit right beside him." She smiled.

"Don't worry about your dad. Once he finds out about the two of you, you can always pull the 'momma' card and make him give in. Plus Val is a nice guy, he'll like him." I spoke giving her a smug smile.

She laughed, agreeing.

"Girls! Join us." Ryker shouted.

We looked at them and they were waiting for us to join them. Both Cassandra and I stood up, removing the dress that we wearing over our swimsuits.

I heard my phone buzz and I reached to check it before going into the pool.

Wait, did you just say pool party? What are you wearing?-K

A laugh escapes my lips.

This man...

"What?" Cassandra asked me.

"Hmm, go ahead. I'll be right back."

She gave me a confused look before nodding. I made my way inside before running up the stairs to the long mirror in my room. I took a mirror selfie with a quite sexy pose, send it to him and wrote.

Go back to sleep, Mr.-R

His reply was quick.

Babe, how the hell am I supposed to sleep now :'( -K

I chuckled, making my way to the pool and joining them in the water. We played with the beach ball, swam around and did a few water games and time went by fast. The sky got darker so we stepped out of the water and dry ourselves. I bought dinner outside and we sat on the couch eating out food.

Earlier I made some pasta lasagna and some spicy baked chicken with Onions and peppers for dinner. Then for dessert, I had ice cream in the fridge.

We also took the remaining fruits from the charcuterie board and finish it with our food. At around 11 p.m, they left.
