🦋The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.🦋

Kyson's pov:

A whole week went by and we finally decided on our date night, which was tonight. I also need to talk to her about something important. Right now I was heading to the mansion with Val as we just came back from a meeting.

"Do you mind stopping here for a few minutes?"

I heard Val ask, making me look up from my phone's screen. It was a street fair. The whole place was full of people buying homemade things from the local stall.

"Why?" I inquired.

He shrugged," I just want to see around."

"You hate fairs." I pointed out.

He ignored me, turning into the parking lot and parked the car. He proceeds to remove his leather jacket before using the mirror to check his hair.

He turned to me," Are you coming?"

It was hot today and I honestly don't want to stay in the car for God knows how long.

I sigh, "Fine."

I removed my suit, throwing it in the back. We both stepped out before walking to the main entrance. I put my hand in my pocket as I walked looking around. By the speed Val was 'walking' he was heading to a specific spot. From afar I could see the reason why he chose to be here despite hating fairs.

Cassandra.

I didn't catch up with him, instead, I walk my way, looking at the stall to kill time. At the fifth stall, a little girl caught my attention. She was around 5-6 years old and she was selling beads bracelets and necklaces. There was all type and colours of beads, I believe they're what are called charm bracelets too.

"Hi," I spoke.

The girl looks at me, "Hello, sorry my mom is in the bathroom."

"That's alright, can you help me choose some for my girlfriend until your mother comes back?" I asked her, keeping my voice as soft as I could.

She smiled, "Okay."

She stood up from her stool and walked to me, "Does she like pink?"

I had no idea.

"I think yes," I replied.

I watched as she went through all the pairs and pick out three different ones, there was a pair of red ones, a pair of green ones and a pair of white-blue ones.

"Hmm, I'll take the green one and the white-blue one," I told her.

"Okay,"

She went to the back and took a small pink bag before putting them inside. I looked around on the table and found a white beads necklace.

"I'll take this one too," I told her while pointing at the necklace.

"Okay."

"Hello," a woman walked to her. I guess she was her mother.

"Mom," the little girl handed her the bag and the mother did the calculation before giving me the final bill.

I paid.

"Thank you," I told the girl.

She smiled, "bye."

I walked away. I just purchase all these things not knowing if Raelynn will wear them or not... oh well, we'll see.

The next stall I stopped by was a flower stall. There were a lot of freshly cut flowers and some already-made bouquets.

"Hey,"

I turned around and saw Valentino and Cassandra walking toward me. Val was holding a big brown paper bag while Cassandra has a few books in her arms.

"Hi," she greeted me.

"Hi," I greeted her back.

"I'm going to help her bring this to her car then we can go," Val told me.

"Go ahead, I'll meet you at the car," I said.

"Okay," he turned around, walking to the front entrance.

Cassandra turned to me, "Hmm anything will work but no red roses or roses, she hates those."

With that, she turned back and jogged to meet Val.

Well, thank you.

I bought one of the biggest bouquets that the lady had made and then I made my way to the car. When I reached the car, Val was walking back. His eyes landed on the flower in my hand and he let out a laugh.

"Oh man, whipped," he commented.

"You don't get to judge me Mr-i-want-to-go-to-the-fair-to-look-around and ends up carrying the bag of the girl." I pointed out.

He shook his head before opening his door.

"Cat got your tongue?" I taunted.

"Shut up and get inside the car."

I sat down and he drove us back to the mansion.

Raelynn's pov:

I was getting ready in my bedroom. Tonight was finally the night that we get to go on our date. It's been a whole week now and my bruises were almost gone, the dark colour faded and now it was easier to hide the remaining stuff with foundation and makeup.

Yesterday I sent a lot of messages to Kyson to know where we were going. Not gonna lie, I was nervous but now that I know the place, I know how to get dressed up nicely.

(Raelynn's outfit⬆️)

Like usual, I did my make-up, curled the end of my hair, put on some perfume, add my favourite pair of earing and then sat on my bed to put my heels on. I grabbed a purse and put my phone, my lipstick and a little cash inside of it.

I then made my way downstairs.

I didn't have to wait for too long before I heard the doorbell. I nervously made my way to the front door and opened it. My eyes landed on him and he look handsome.

He was in a slim-fit black shirt-which looked like a second skin on his muscled arm-, grey pants and a black belt. I also noticed that he changed his dangling leaf earring to a dangling black wing earring.

As I was checking him out, he took this opportunity to let his eyes roam on my body, not lingering anywhere for too long.

"You look beautiful." He complimented me with a soft smile.

"Thank you, you look handsome." I smiled.

"These are for you." He put the bouquet forward and I reached to grab it.

"It's pretty, thank you," I said as I reached to hug him. He wrapped his arms around me.

"Glad you like them," he said.

"As long as it's not roses, you are good," I added.

"Hmm, thank God a little birdie told me the exact thing before I buy them." He said making me quite curious.

I pull away, "Who?"

"Someone close to you." He briefly replied, "Now, go put these inside. We need to go."
