🦋The Scars lasted more than them🦋

Raelynn's pov:

The next day, we told Jace to gather everyone in the big lounge for a meeting regarding the Italian Mafia. Ryker and I know that it wasn't us as we weren't in town but there is a good probability that it might be one of the guys here.

(Raelynn's outfit⬆️)

"Silence everyone," Jace said standing with us at the front.

The noise in the lounge died down as everyone focus their attention on us.

"Yesterday we got to know that an Italian Mafia is looking for someone who killed his brother. Turns out that the murder happened within our area and now we are a target unless we are hundred percent innocent." Ryker started to talk, his voice echoed through the room. Everyone listened to him carefully.

"It happened on Monday at 4 p.m. We were out of town so it wasn't us but if anyone among you here knows anything about this, you need to tell us. Even if one of you did this, we'll help you out of it but we need to know the truth." I spoke clearly.

"We won't let you down, we'll try our best to help you out," Ryker added.

They whispered among themselves but no one came ahead to take the blame.

"Looks like no one did it," Jace commented, looking at Ryker and me.

"That's actually good news." I pointed out.

"Yeah, no additional work for us," Ryker added.

"Dismiss them, but we will have them write a small statement to prove that indeed they are innocent," I stated.

"Alright."

I turned to walk to the stairs when I heard Jim call my name. I turned around and saw him walking through the crowd with a big red rose bouquet in his hand. The guys part their way to the side, creating a path for Jim.

Jace whistled turning to me with a smirk.

"Jim..." I gave him a questioning look.

"Oh no, it's not from me. It got delivered here." Jim explained as he handed it to me.

I raised an eyebrow.

It got delivered?

"Who?" I asked.

He shrugged, "There is a note, you should probably read it."

As he was still holding the bouquet forward for me, I reached to grab only the note.

"Damn sis, you got a secret admirer," Ryker commented.

I opened the letter.

Ended on a bad note yesterday so here are some roses for you. I hope you'll understand that the other piece of shit is just some shit. I've always had your heart and I know I still do.

Malcolm N.

By the end of the letter, I was pissed. Malcolm knows that I love red roses and he was the main reason why I started to hate them. He used to buy these fake roses for me pretending that he hates natural ones as they die quickly and it was a waste of money... I found Flora, his 'best friend' with a fresh bouquet of red roses in her arms, which he bought for her.

"Uh oh," Jim said as he noticed the change in my facial expression.

"Rae..." Jace called out.

I abruptly handed Ryker the note as I grabbed the flower from Jim. I smack it on the floor before crushing them with my boots. I stomp on it a few times before kicking it afar.

"Malcolm!" Ryker snarled.

"Damn,"

I turned around silently making my way to the office.

---

It was now 2 p.m and I was alone in the office. I have been alone pretty much all day as Ryker was gone to do some work and Jace was training downstairs. The door of the office opened and I turned to it to see Cassandra walking inside with a big bag.

"Hello Rae," she smiled at me.

"Hi," I smiled back, "Jace brought you here?"

"Yeah, he knows that your mood is a little off and some girl's time will cheer you up." She explains as she put the back on the table. She took out some food, some drink, and some chocolate bar before sitting on the chair in front of me.

"That's a lot of food," I commented.

"And?"

"And it looks delicious," I added making her chuckle. I grabbed my food and started to unpack it. She bought a barbecue chicken salad with some side sauces, grilled sausages and avocado slices on the side.

"So I heard the jerk is in town," Cassandra said before she took a sip of her cold drink.

"Yeah, he is..."

Cassandra and I always share things so I ended up telling her what happened yesterday at the meeting and what happened this morning. I kept a few details for myself.

"What the fuck is he trying to prove? Before doing all this stuff, did he even apologise to you?" Cassandra questioned.

I scoffed, "An apology? Did you ever hear him apologise?"

She sighed, "No."

"Exactly..."

"And to say he tried to compare himself with Kyson." She pointed out.

"Hmm, and there isn't much to compare to be honest. Kyson is tougher, bigger, hotter and a better kisser-" I abruptly stopped, biting my tongue when I realised what I just said.

I was hoping she didn't notice what I said but when I looked up at her, she had her mouth dropped on the floor as she looked at me shocked.

"Did you!?" She asked confirming what she heard.

"Maybe..." I replied.

She squealed.

"Oh my God! Rae... after 5 years you finally kiss someone." She smiled widely.

"Way to make me sound like a virgin," I commented.

She laughed.

5 years...

No wonder all of Kyson's move was catching me off guard.

"Well, I was losing hope of seeing you with someone but looks like I was wrong." She added.

"Or you might still be right," I said.

She scoffed, "Sure."

"Anyway, how did this happen?" She inquired curiously.

"When we went to the red lady," I replied briefly.

"Quite boring but okay." She commented making me roll my eyes.

We heard a knock before the door opened. Ryker peeked inside before making his way to us. I furrowed my eyebrows when I saw him with a pink flowers bouquet. It was as big as what Malcolm sent.

I sighed.

"Don't tell me he sent another one."

He shook his head no as he handed it to me.

"It is from every guy of this mansion." He said making my eyes widen.

I grabbed the bouquet.

"That's so sweet," Cassandra commented.

It is...

"They wanted to cheer you up, so they bought a mix pink flower bouquet."
