"I'm not sleeping in this room!" I all but yelled at Kaius as I took fast, but little, steps out of the room, my body nearly making it through the opened doorway before thick arms wrapped around me from behind, and I was being scooped up into his arms.

Bridal style, I thought bitterly and bit my tongue from saying anything that would anger him even more.

"Yes, you are," he growled into my ear, nipping at my ear lobe lightly, and released my tiny body, throwing me down on the ginormous bed.

My back hit the bed with an 'oof', and I found myself slowly sinking into it, glaring up at him as I watched his big hands head towards the bottom of the bed where the blankets were bundled up at my feet. Noticing the way his upper lip pulled back into a scowl, showing off his perfect white teeth, and I could tell that he wished getting me into bed would be easier than it was turning out to be.

I began kicking violently as soon as he pulled the blankets up into the air, he ended up putting them just under my chin, and ultimately caged me in.

"You cannot do this!" I wiggled underneath the surprisingly heavy covers as I kept my eyes trained on him, huffing as I glared holes into his perfect face. He just shrugged, acting completely unbothered, but the rage in his eyes told me otherwise, the swirling black in his green orbs.

"I can, and I will," he objected and clenched his jaw as he leaned down to get closer to my face, as if he was daring me to defy him again.

That was my third try at escaping.

My first attempt was me telling him that I couldn't sleep in the dress I was wearing, because I had it on for the full celebration and it didn't feel comfortable enough to actually sleep in. Kaius let me change in the connecting washroom while he waited outside, so I slipped on a nightgown, one of many that he already had ready for me because apparently 'he had been prepared for my arrival'. I waited until I heard footsteps heading away from me and then I heard him rummaging through something, which I assumed was the big closet he also had, before I quietly tried to sneak out of the washroom and almost made it to the door, but Kaius was quick to grab me and pull me into his chest.

The second attempt was me complaining that I was thirsty, and demanded a glass of water, but sadly that plan didn't even start because all he had to do was tell Faith to bring up a drink for me through some sort of mind link.

Lastly, the third attempt which was just me running to the opened door, which failed miserably.

After a while, Kaius grew irritated with me, and I figured that I was getting on his last nerve.

Sighing, I kept my eyes on him as they slowly softened, becoming interested in his movements as his hand moved to clutch the back of his shirt and pull it above his head. I watched, gaping at him, as he started to pull off his pants.

"Wait!" I squeaked and quickly closed my eyes shut, my hands trapped underneath the blankets with no way of getting them out to cover my eyes, "My innocent eyes!"

Kaius let out a chuckle as I felt the blankets moving up, enough for me to roll over on my side comfortably, but then I felt the other side of the bed sink down, and I knew that he laid down next to me. My eyes opened to see deep green ones staring back at me, his lips twitching up.

As I looked at him, I couldn't help the ache in my chest that begged me to move closer until I was safely wrapped up in his arms.

"Don't forget what he did!" Mama's voice filled my head, speaking words about something that I've never heard her talk about. Of course, I told myself, I should have known that she would remind me, even if I just want to forget, just for a little while.

"Are you okay?" He asked me with no questioning gaze or any hint in his tone that told me he was genuinely curious, but instead there was this sadness, this guilt shining in his eyes that was telling me that he already knew the answer.

"No," I whispered honestly, "I'm so confused, so torn."

"Why?" Kaius placed his hand on the side of my cheek, his thumb caressing my face.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

"Because," I paused, "because the world is so strange, and nothing is going the way I hoped it to."

"What did you want to happen?"

"I don't know," my voice cracked, a nervous smile broke out on my face as I continued, "I guess that I was just expecting more. I was so used to the same four walls, my plain bed that made my back hurt and the same mirror that I spent all my time in front of, watching myself as I tried to find something to do, but I always ended up looking lost even though I was supposed to be home, in my room where I thought was supposed to be the safest place for me."

"Amoret-"

"Because I spent every second in that room," I cut him off, "and-and I hated it. I wanted more than anything to just leave, to do something as simple as going outside for a walk, but I never had the chance. Then when I finally get out of that house, I'm being shoved away by Papa, and forced to be by myself, to be alone, to go out in a world that I don't know of."

I let out a frustrated sigh, closing my eyes as I felt my lips quiver.

A new feeling of warmth invaded my body as the familiar sparks bounced off my skin. I felt his bare chest push up against me, his arms wrapping around my waist as he pulled me flat up against him and nuzzled his face into my neck.

My hand moved up and placed itself on the top of his head, my fingers running through his hair as I shut my eyes once again.

"I think," I started, "I think I was just imagining that everything would be okay, that Mama and Papa would come to live with me in France, and we would be happy."

I would finally be happy.

W O R D  C O U N T : 1321

This is a very short chapter, which completely goes against what I want because I wanted to start having longer chapters.

But I was so excited to post my description about my new book, the one I'll be working on after this one. Longer chapters is something I will definitely, hopefully, have in that one.

Anyways, Mated To Morpheus.

"There once was a werewolf who was half God, The Moon Goddess's son.

His name was Morpheus, the same werewolf who created the battle where werewolves were finally able to be in control of everything, including being above humans.

Morpheus despised humans, hated them with a passion because they were the reason werewolves had to hide in the darkest parts of the woods.

But, not everything went his way after the war, his mother was appalled by the many human deaths that were taken at her son's hands.

She cursed him to a deep sleep, to spend centuries frozen in time until something came along that would change his view on humans.

A recently turned eighteen human, Emery finds herself in the cold embrace of a man who she only heard of in stories."

There it is! Please, tell me what you think!
