Someone nudged my elbow and I snapped out of my thoughts. Lola raised an arched brow and I blinked a few times, almost forgetting that we were still in class.

Everyone around us were starting to leave the classroom which was when I realised that our lesson must have ended.

"You were daydreaming again," she pointed out, her lips slightly pulling downwards. "What were you thinking about?"

Before I could even answer, she saw the look on my face and let out a tired sigh, tucking a lock of hair behind an ear before packing her things.

"On second thought, don't answer that," she mumbled in a tight voice. "I might smack you on the head if you do."

I let out a sheepish chuckle before grabbing my laptop and slipping it into my bag before following her out.

"By the way, have you heard about our new substitute teacher? Some of my friends saw him earlier this morning and said that he looked pretty hot," she smirked. She nudged me with her shoulder, giving me a lopsided grin. "Apparently he's a total daddy."

"Stop, I'm going to barf," I grumbled, shoving my hands deep into my pocket. If there was one heard that I hated hearing the most, it was the word 'daddy'.

Jax on the other hand... I held back a shiver.

"I didn't know that we had a substitute teacher."

"Yeah, that's because you never listen in class," she snorted. "Apparently our literature teacher got into some kind of accident and had to be hospitalised. Nobody knows for how long, but he'll probably be gone for the entire semester."

We walked to the next building and were about to enter the classroom, but my body froze stiff as I saw a tall man wearing a starch white shirt that was neatly tucked in his black pants. He had salt 'n pepper hair, an unshaven grey beard, yet a contrasting youthful face; like finely aged wine in a bottle. I grabbed Lola's wrist and pulled her aside, gluing my back against the wall while my heart pounded against my chest.

"Ouch, Ji Hoon," hissed Lola, pulling away and rubbing her wrist. But her brows creased as she looked up towards me. "Are you okay? You um, you look kind of pale."

I didn't realise that I was holding my breath until I finally spoke.

"That man," I whispered, pointing towards the door. "Our new substitute teacher. I... I know him."

The words sent chills down my spine, goosebumps trailing down the surface of my arms at the realisation.

"You mean our new professor?" she asked, tilting her head to the side to look at him, but I frantically pulled her back.

"D-Don't do that!" I hissed frantically, but she cast a skeptical glare.

"How do you know him?"

I gulped, the saliva hurting as it trailed down my dry throat.

"I slept with him," I whispered weakly. Lola's eyes widened, her jaw almost falling to the ground. She batted her long lashes, closing her mouth only for it to open wide in shock again.

"You WHAT?!"

I quickly pulled her further away from the door so that the other students who were entering the room wouldn't hear.

"Our substitute teacher, his name is Will. Or, that's what I think his name is, I was too drunk to remember," I mumbled hoarsely. "I went drinking last night at some random bar and ended up getting drunk."

"Without me?" she gasped in betrayal and I narrowed my eyes. "Alright, sorry, go on."

"I got drunk and was feeling horny and he started talking to me. I thought he had a nice face, but I think I just had too much to drink," I mumbled. "He said that I looked cute and I may or may have tried to seduce him. He then invited me to his house and well, we fucked."

Lola blinked twice, taking a step away from me while raising her hand so that I wouldn't get closer. "Remind me never to get drunk again."

"Lola!" I cried.

"Yeah, that's probably never going to happen," she laughed to herself.

I groaned, anxiously pacing back and forth while nibbling on my nails, every muscle in my body starting to tighten and tense. My heart accelerated and my stomach heaved, my mind buzzing in panic.
Out of all the people I could have slept with, it just had to be my new substitute professor! I knew that something felt odd when I saw the papers of Shakespeare on his room floor but it'd be this bad!

"You're going to fine Ji Hoon," said Lola, trying to reassure me. "I mean, he was drunk too, right?"

I nodded, still pacing.

"Well, then he probably doesn't even remember what you look like," she insisted gently. "I know that I can hardly remember the people that I sleep with when I'm drunk."

I stopped, looking up towards her with a small frown and furrowed brows.

"Really?"

"No, unfortunately the sex is actually the only thing that I remember when I sober up, but I'll cross my fingers for you," she said, raising crossing her index around her middle finger with a sheepish smile. I groaned, miserably banging my head against the wall.

"Even if he does remember, I'm sure that he'll be professional about it. If anything, he'll be just as flustered as you," she said, trying to shed light on the brighter aspects of things.

"I mean, what's the worst thing that can happen?"

"Please don't say that," I begged, knowing that that sentence held terrible consequences.

"Come on, we have to get to class or we'll be late," said Lola. Before I could stop her, she already went into the classroom.
