She didn't know when exactly it starts to happen but she realized something is wrong with her on the night her parents died.

All her relatives look at her with greed in their eyes. Everyone tried to approach her, seeing her as an opportunity to step up their status and wealth. Daughter of a duke left with all the family wealth. She was alone. She was a child. She was... Easy.

Kara Danvers didn't shed a tear. She was too surprised to do that. The little Danvers locked herself in her room. Feeling her body tremble whenever her relative knocks at the door. They were persistently asking for her present. They were in desperate need to know who will take care of her... Who will 'help' her managing the Danvers estates.

She wrapped her body with a blanket as her back leaning against her bedroom door.

"Kara! Kara! We need to talk! Kara, it's about your father's estates. Open the door-"

No more, she doesn't want to listen any more. The blonde girl put both of her hands on her ears. She was trying her very best to muffle the sound.

If only... If only... She was a boy. This wouldn't matter. If she was a boy, there wouldn't be any problem with her inheriting everything. There wouldn't be a problem for her to stand alone.

Now, everyone wishes to arrange her marriage. Everyone wishes to be the one in control of what her parents left for her.

If only... If only... She was a boy.

"Then, be a boy."

Kara's eyes immediately widen. Where did that voice come from? Slowly the little peek her head out the blanket. A small red light could be seen on her mirror. The wooden standing mirror near her wardrobe is attracting her with this alluring vibe.

As a child, she was in great need of help. Kara approaches the mirror carefully.

What she sees in the mirror is her reflection. Her reflection smirking at her.

"If you need to be a boy then, be a boy."

The girl in the mirror said to her. Kara keep on staring at the little girl. How could this happen? Every day she had looked into this mirror. Never in a single day had her reflection ever all to her like this.

When Kara didn't say anything, the girl in the mirror looks at her in amusement.

"Don't be afraid, Kara... I am here for you."

Kara clutches the side of her dress tightly before she finally says something.

"Who are you?", she asked.

The girl in the mirror chuckled.

"I am you."

That was when the alarm in Kara's head start to scream danger. Her head is telling her to turn around. To ignore everything. Maybe even get out of the room.

Kara didn't move.

She knew she has to do something but she didn't. Kara stayed there.

"You're weak and I'm strong. I can help you, Kara.", the girl in the mirror calmly put her hand against the mirror.

"Just let me in."

She demands.

I am weak. I am weak. The three words keep repeating in Kara's mind.

The little blond girl didn't say anything. She gathers the courage in her heart to turn away from the mirror. Kara turned away, she even took a few steps away from the mirror... But then once again she turned around.

"I am weak, I need help.", Kara removes her cotton laced glove before putting her hand on the mirror.

She looks at the girl in the mirror once again.

"I need you."

That when everything turns black.

          Later

Sir Frederick was at the secret garden behind the Danvers' mansion. His sister made the garden when his first niece was born. Alura was very happy and proud of Kara. Alura Nolan... His sister. The wife of Duke Zorel Danvers.

He was the one who walks her sister down the aisle when she got married to the duke. He was there when they exchange their vows.

Sir Frederick was also there when Kara was born. He was also there when the Danvers decided to adopted Alex. Jeremiah and Eliza were good people. That was why he didn't complain much about the brunette not having noble blood in her veins.

The nobleman remembers the day he was there when Kara was having her first piano lesson with Alura. He remembers the spark in the little girl's eyes whenever she managed to play the key right. Sir Frederick remember when his niece hugs him in joy the first time he was spending Christmas with the Danvers.

"Uncle Frederick."

When the nobleman turns to look at his niece, he knew something was wrong. The one in front of him is his niece but she is not the niece he has remembered.

The blond girl in front of him has this mysterious stranger aura around him. She felt so distant, even if they are only a few meters apart.

She felt like a stranger.

"I have something we must discuss."

She is a stranger.

From that moment, The Phantom was created. Sir Federick had helped Kara to build the perfect foundation for him.

Once in awhile, Sir Frederick will get the chance to see the niece he once had. The real Kara appears when she is not working. Whenever it involved work, The Phantom will come out. Her sparkling eyes would turn into a pair of plain emotionless blue orbs.

The vibe surrounding her would change. From the happy and comforting aura to a mysterious strange vibe.

Over the years, Sir Frederick learn to accept the fact that Kara and The Phantom are two different people living in the same body.

So it was normal... It was completely normal for different people to like different people.

Kara loves Lena.

The Phantom on the other hand... Loves May.
